LORD, we ask for The Holy Spirit to speak to us in every way by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7, abiding in Your love, John 15:10, Your Word as a lamp to our feet, and a light unto our path, Ps 119:105, To speak according to the Law and The Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, Holy Spirit Visions while Awake ️ Dreams While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Num 12:6, Acts 16:9... Father, we come as little children in faith, asking the goal of our instruction, Love from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. We look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than to all we see and hear from the noise and pollution of the world, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We agree, Matt 18:19, with this husband for himself, his wayward wife, children, family, extended family, ***prayer & ministry partners, church leaders, churches and team members -- You speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: give warning dreams, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham you warned Abimelech to keep him from death, Gen 20:3.

Like Abraham, we are imperfect but growing, and we believe Your promises, in fact we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21, granting us everything we need for both life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3-4. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on these named above, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,"Job 42:2 We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your incomprehensible peace as promised, Phil 4:6-7. We join together with you in this deep hunger for the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and speak to us, and we agree with you before the Father in Jesus name for this husband, his wayward wife, their children, family, extended family, prayer and ministry partners, church leaders and churches.

We are encouraged by your desire to abide in Christ and to have His words abide in you, for Jesus said If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you John 15:7, and If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love John 15:10. We affirm with you that Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path Psalm 119:105 and that we must always speak according to the law and the testimony Isaiah 8:20. That is the foundation for testing every other way God may speak to us.

We love your faith that God still speaks today through His Word opened to us as in Luke 24:45 Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures, through faithful messages from the pulpit as you pray according to Ephesians 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, through divine appointments and godly counsel according to Isaiah 11:2 The Spirit of Yahweh will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, and through the leading of the Holy Spirit for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God Romans 8:14 and the Shepherd's voice My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me John 10:27.

We also gently counsel together that while we believe God can and does still give visions and dreams as in Job 33:14 For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed and as in Joel 2:28 It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions, and as He did with Joseph Matthew 1:20 and the Magi Matthew 2:12 and even warned the unsaved like Abimelech Genesis 20:3, we must always test every dream, vision, prophecy and leading against the written Word, for All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness 2 Timothy 3:16 and we are told Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God 1 John 4:1. Dreams and visions will never contradict Scripture, and they are not to be sought above Scripture. We rejoice that you already anchor everything in Isaiah 8:20 and Psalm 119:105, that is the safe path.

We also lift up this marriage before the Lord. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, created and ordained by God, and What therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart Matthew 19:6. When a wife has become wayward, whether through deception, wandering affections, or if it has involved adultery or fornication which is any sexual intimacy outside the covenant of marriage, God calls that sin and calls for repentance, for He desires truth and faithfulness. We do not know all the details, but God does, and we pray for her to be turned from wrongdoing and kept from pride, to be preserved from the pit as in Job 33:17-18, and for this husband to continue to love his wife as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for her Ephesians 5:25, not abandoning his vows but standing in holy love, prayer, and truth while trusting God to work.

We thank God that you have come through Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other name, and it is only through Him we have access to the Father. For Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5. We praise Him that he is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them Hebrews 7:25.

So together we pray, Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, pour out Your Spirit upon this husband, his wife, their children and all their household, upon their extended family, ministry partners, pastors and churches. Open our minds to understand the Scriptures Luke 24:45, give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation Ephesians 1:17, grant counsel and might Isaiah 11:2, lead us by Your Spirit Romans 8:14, and let us clearly hear the Shepherd's voice John 10:27. If it pleases You, speak also in the night through dreams that terrify with warning to turn from wrongdoing Job 33:16-17, and in the day through visions and prophecy according to Your will Joel 2:28, but always in perfect agreement with Your Word Isaiah 8:20. Draw this wayward wife back to Yourself and to her covenant marriage, convict her of sin and draw her to repentance, heal what is broken, protect the children from confusion and harm, and keep this husband strong in faith, pure in heart, sincere in faith and with a good conscience 1 Timothy 1:5. Keep us all from temptation, from evil and from the evil one Matthew 6:13, deliver us from deceptive spirits and guard us by Your power 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We remember that You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted Job 42:2, that The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it John 1:5, and that nothing is impossible with God Luke 1:37. We ask with thanksgiving and receive Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7, trusting that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever Hebrews 13:8 and Your arm is not too short to save Isaiah 59:1. We ask all this in the name of Jesus, the Amen and the Faithful Witness Revelation 3:14, in whom all the promises of God are Yes and Amen 2 Corinthians 1:20, amen.

We were touched by the humility and love in your prayer for your wife, your children, your family and those who serve alongside you. Coming as little children and wanting to hear and follow the Shepherd's voice in every ordinary and extraordinary way He chooses to speak is a beautiful desire, and we are honored to stand with you in it.

We join you in asking the Holy Spirit, our Helper and Counselor, to keep leading you with clarity and gentleness. In our experience He works with power, with truth, and with fruit all together. That means He will never pull you away from His Word, but will use it as a lamp for your path, and He often confirms His direction through the wisdom of faithful counsel and the steady growth of love, peace and patience in our lives. When you sense a prompting, a dream, or a strong impression, it can help to hold it quietly before the Lord, test it over time, and weigh it with mature believers you trust.

One simple practice that may help is to keep a brief daily time abiding in the Word and prayer, jotting down what you sense the Lord is pressing on your heart, and then bringing those notes weekly to a pastor or prayer partner to discern together what is from Him and what next step to take.

Father, we lift this husband and his wife, children, family and ministry partners to You. Draw each one close to Jesus, guard them from confusion and the enemy's schemes, and give them ears to hear and hearts to obey what You show them. Keep them abiding in Your love and Your Word, and grant them Your peace as they trust You day by day. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your longing that the Holy Spirit should open the understanding, as it is written, Then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scriptures, Luke 24:45, is a longing which God himself has planted and which he delights to fulfill. It is well that you would have the Word abide in you and you in Christ, for without the Spirit we cannot see Christ at all. Our sin puts a veil between us and Christ, and the Holy Spirit comes and takes the veil away from our heart and then we see Christ, for he shall receive of mine and shall shew it unto you, John 16:14.

You ask that he would speak by every means, by the Scriptures, by the pulpit, by counsel, by visions and dreams. Hear then what the Spirit himself teaches. He does indeed lead the sons of God, as many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God, Romans 8:14, and the sheep hear the Shepherd's voice, John 10:27. Yet his great work is not to magnify outward wonders but to glorify Christ, and he does this most surely by the Word. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit uses the hearing of the Word for conviction and conversion and consolation and sanctification. The Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path, Psalm 119:105, and we are to speak according to the law and to the testimony, Isaiah 8:20. If dreams or visions or impressions come, they must be tried by that infallible rule, lest we be led aside. Pray therefore first for the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened, Ephesians 1:17 and 18, that you may see Christ in the Scriptures and be made to walk in holiness.

Take heed also to that tender word, Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption, Ephesians 4:30. There is something very touching in this admonition. It does not say do not make him angry, but grieve him not, for he loves you with a tender love. Pride and murmuring and unbelief and self seeking grieve him, for he dwells with those who are humble and of a contrite spirit. The Spirit lusteth against the flesh and the flesh against the Spirit, and they cannot reign together in peace. If we would have his power manifest we must purge out everything contrary to his Word and to sound doctrine, and cry aloud to him and live in him and give ourselves up fully to his divine anointing. A holy man is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit, and unless our faith makes us pine after holiness it is no better than the faith of devils.

I join my prayer with yours, according to the promise that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven, Matthew 18:19. I pray for you, for your wife who has wandered, for your children and family and extended family, for your prayer and ministry partners and church leaders and churches. May the Lord who is able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because he ever liveth to make intercession for us, Hebrews 7:25, keep you all abiding in Christ and in his love, John 15:7 and 10, with love from a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith, 1 Timothy 1:5.

For your wife I pray that God would in mercy turn her from wrongdoing and keep her from pride and preserve her from the pit, as Job has said God speaks to turn man from his purpose, Job 33:17, and that he would bring her again to love the covenant of marriage as God ordained it, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, wherein alone our Lord appoints the holy union of husband and wife. May the Spirit convict her and comfort her and draw her back to Christ first and then to her proper place in the home, that your marriage may be restored and made strong in the Lord. For you I pray that you may be kept from temptation and from the evil one, and be delivered from all deception and fear, and that you may pray in the Holy Spirit and by his power, Jude 1:20, believing the promises of God which are all yea and amen in Christ.

Let us ask that the Lord would grant warning and guidance where it is needed, as he warned Abimelech and Laban and Joseph and the wise men of old, yet ever to submit all such leadings to the sure Word, knowing that nothing shall be impossible with God, Luke 1:37, and that he is able to do all that he has promised, Romans 4:21, and to supply all that pertains to life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3. May he pour out his Spirit upon you and make you to walk in the way, saying This is the way walk ye in it, and may you be kept in his incomprehensible peace as you make your requests known unto God, Philippians 4:6 and 7.

May the blessing of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit rest upon you and upon your house, and may you yet see the Spirit glorify Christ in your midst, to the salvation of souls and the building up of his one church. Amen.
