Dear Jesus , I will not be returning to church unless you look into a give me a wife and a job related to business analyst or Project Manager. And unless these 2 conditions are fulfilled I will not be returning to Church. In Jesus Name I ask. Amen.

We have heard your prayer and we understand the deep desire in your heart for both meaningful work and a godly wife, and we join with you in bringing these desires before the Lord. We know the longing for companionship and for provision through a good job can feel overwhelming, and we want to lift these needs up with you in love and truth.

We must also lovingly rebuke the condition you have placed before the Lord, that you will not return to church unless He fulfills these two requests. This approach puts our will above God's will and attempts to test Him. Scripture says You shall not test the Lord your God Matthew 4:7 and again in Deuteronomy 6:16, and it also warns You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures James 4:3. Our relationship with God is not a transaction where we bargain for blessings, but a surrender to His perfect love and sovereignty. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours Isaiah 55:8-9 and He calls us to trust Him even when we do not yet see the answer. We are also called to not forsake our own assembling together, as is the custom of some, but exhorting one another Hebrews 10:25. The church is not a building we attend only when we are satisfied, it is the family of God where we are nourished, corrected, encouraged, and where we grow in faith whether our prayers have been answered yet or not. To withhold yourself from fellowship only deprives you of the very grace and support you need in this season of waiting.

We do affirm your desire for a wife and for work as a business analyst or project manager, and we agree these are good things to seek when sought in God's order. We pray that God will provide a godly wife for you, a Christian believer who will be your lifelong helper in a marriage that honors Him, for marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman meant to reflect Christ's love for the church Ephesians 5:25. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer, not simply companionship, and to prepare your own heart to be the godly husband and spiritual leader that Scripture calls you to be Ephesians 5:25-28. Likewise we pray for your vocation, that God would open the right door for work where you can labor with diligence and integrity, for whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord Colossians 3:23. We encourage you to continue to be faithful in seeking, applying, developing your skills, and trusting that God will direct your steps as a man plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps Proverbs 16:9.

The Lord's promise is to those who put Him first, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. And as you delight yourself in Him, He will give you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4, not always in our timing or exactly as we imagine, but always for our good and His glory. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, thanking You that this dear one has called upon Jesus and that we have access to Your throne of grace through Him alone. We ask You to forgive us when we try to set conditions on our obedience and to soften and humble this heart before You. Lord, draw him back into fellowship with Your people, help him to love Your church and to desire to worship and grow among fellow believers regardless of his circumstances. We ask that You provide for his needs according to Your perfect will, open the door for employment as a business analyst or project manager if it is Your will, and give him favor, wisdom, and diligence in his work. We also ask that in Your perfect timing You bring a godly Christian wife into his life, a woman who loves You above all, that together they may build a Christ centered marriage that endures for life. Teach him to seek You first, to trust Your goodness, and to wait patiently upon Your perfect plan. Fill him with peace, hope, and assurance that You hear his prayers and that You are working for his good. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear the weight behind what you wrote. Wanting meaningful work and a wife to share life with are good, deep desires, and waiting without answers can feel exhausting. It makes sense you would bring them so directly to Jesus.

We also hear the line you have drawn about church. When disappointment builds it is understandable to want to say, if God does not move in these areas, why keep showing up. Yet stepping back from fellowship often cuts us off from the very place God uses to encourage, counsel and open doors while we wait. Staying connected does not mean pretending you are not disappointed. It means letting others walk with you in it.

If you are willing, one simple next step could be to share this exact prayer honestly with a pastor or a trusted believer in your local church, not as an ultimatum but as a window into where you are. Let them know you are discouraged about work and marriage and that you need community and guidance in this season. Continuing to gather, even while you are waiting and asking, keeps you near encouragement and practical help.

Father, we bring our brother before You in Jesus name. You know his desire for work that fits his skills and for a wife to love and cherish. We ask for Your provision and clear direction for his next steps, for open doors in the right timing, and for comfort and hope as he waits. Draw him close to You and to Your people, and help him sense Your care day by day. Amen.

Your words have been heard with earnest concern, and they reveal a heart that is wrestling deeply and honestly before the Lord. To speak plainly as a friend must, the ground upon which you stand is perilous. To say to the Almighty, I will not return unless Thou doest this and that for me, is to reverse the order of grace. It is to make faith a bargain rather than a trust, and to charge God foolishly as though He were our debtor.

True faith does not dictate terms to God but drops down into His arms. As Job said in his great trial, though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. In all his losses Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly, but fell down and worshipped. That is faith tried and triumphing. It is not a faith that alters with every puff of wind or with the heaviness of our circumstances, but a faith that can stand the test because it rests upon Christ Himself. If our faith can only live when our conditions are met, it is well that it give way, that we may be driven to seek that true faith which endures.

Scripture shows us a waiting God and a waiting people. The Lord waits that He may be gracious, and His people wait upon Him patiently in hope, not in hesitation or despair. To wait upon Him is not to stand at a distance until He proves Himself to our liking, but to draw near in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, to seek His face in the assembly of His people, to hear His Word and to pray. Faith is the spiritual sense by which we see Him who is invisible, and that sight is given not in isolation but as we abide where He has promised to meet us.

We will pray for you as you have asked, but we must pray aright. We will ask the Lord, if it be His gracious will, to provide for you honest and fruitful work by which you may serve Him and provide for others, whether as a business analyst or project manager or in whatever station He appoints. And we will pray that, if it be His will for you to marry, He will in His time bring to you a godly wife, that you may enter into that holy estate as Scripture ordains, a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, entered in purity and kept in faithfulness, for His glory. Yet we cannot ask God to bless an ultimatum, nor can we treat His house as a place to return to only upon payment. We ask instead that He would give you a heart to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all needful things shall be added.

Above all we pray that you may know salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for without faith it is impossible to please God, and faith means trust in Christ. Little faith, if it be true faith that begins and ends with Jesus, is precious and shall be tenderly kept, but it must be a faith that obeys His precept and cries, Lord, bid me come. Do not stay away from the means of grace until your outward desires are fulfilled. Come now, as you are, confessing your need and your sin, and hear the Word, and pray, and let the Lord put strength in you. He will put strength in the one who trusts Him, and no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.

May the Lord turn your conditional resolve into unconditional surrender. May He give you grace to say, I will seek Thee though Thou slay all my hopes, for Thou art my hope. Return to His house not because your terms have been met, but because you need His mercy, His Word, and His people. There, waiting upon Him, you will find fresh oil and renewed strength, and you will learn that His ways are higher and kinder than our demands.

We pray now, Father, have mercy upon this dear soul. Forgive the sin of prescribing to Thee, and grant repentance and living faith in Jesus Christ. Teach him to worship even in want, to wait patiently upon Thy goodness, and to trust Thy providence for daily bread and for all the future. If it please Thee, open doors of honest labour and, in Thy perfect time, provide a helpmeet for life according to Thy holy institution of marriage. But above all, give him Thyself, and draw him back to Thy house and to Thy Son, in whose name we ask it. Amen.

Your request has been heard, and the longing in it is understood. The desire for a wife and for good and fruitful work is in itself good, and God knows our need for companionship and for provision. Marriage is honorable, as Scripture says, a bond ordained by God, pure and intended to preserve holiness and to keep life ordered in faithfulness. Work also is a gift from God by which we provide and serve others. It is right to bring these desires to the Lord in prayer.

Yet the way this prayer is framed needs to be corrected in love, for it puts conditions before God and before His Church. Faith does not bargain with the Lord, saying I will worship You only if You give me what I ask. We are called to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting that He will provide what is needed according to His wisdom. The Church is not a place of transaction where we come only when our terms are met. It is the place where we are cleansed from the burdens of the world, where we hear the word of God, where we learn how to live both now and for eternity, and where we are strengthened to bear trials with patience.

Concerning marriage, Scripture teaches that it is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, given to preserve purity and to reflect faithfulness. It is not simply a fulfillment of a wish, but a holy responsibility. For that reason it requires patience, self restraint and preparation of character. Isaac waited forty years and kept himself in purity before God gave him his wife. A prudent wife is a great good, and the profit of marriage is to keep the body and the life pure before God. Therefore pray not for any wife on your own terms, but for a godly marriage if it is the Lord's will for you, entered into with chastity, gravity and order, and with a heart ready to love and to lead in faith.

Concerning work, it is right to ask God for open doors, for skill and opportunity as a business analyst or project manager or in any honest labor. But our attendance and devotion to Christ cannot depend on whether that specific job is granted. Some are given much, some are given little, and all are called to be faithful and vigilant where God has placed them, keeping the eyes of the mind clear and the heart fervent toward Him.

So I urge you not to stay away. Do not let disappointment or demands keep you from the assembly. Come back now, not after conditions are met, but as one who needs grace. Bring your requests to God with humility, not as an ultimatum, but as a child trusting a Father. Confess the conditional heart, ask for forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and ask Him to shape your desires according to His will.

We pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, have mercy on this man. Soften his heart and turn bargaining into trusting. Forgive his sins and draw him back to fellowship with Your people. Grant him repentance and steadiness in faith. If it is Your will, provide for him a godly wife for a holy and faithful marriage, and provide honest work where he can labor with diligence and integrity. Above all, give him contentment in Christ, that whether these things come soon or whether they tarry, he may remain rooted in You and not depart from Your house. Amen.
