We have heard your heart and your prayer for a wife and for work as a business analyst or project manager, and we join with you in bringing these desires before the Lord, for He cares deeply about every area of our lives. We are grateful that you came in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father, as it is written John 14:6 and Acts 4:12.

We also want to speak to you in love and truth about the way this prayer was framed, because we care for your walk with God. To tell Jesus that we will not return to church unless He gives us what we ask is to put conditions on our obedience and to test the Lord, rather than to surrender to Him. Scripture says Matthew 4:7 and Deuteronomy 6:16 that we shall not put the Lord our God to the test, and Isaiah 55:8-9 reminds us that His thoughts and His ways are higher than ours. We are called to seek Him first, not His gifts, and to trust His wisdom and timing even when our prayers are not yet answered as we hope. The Lord also commands us not to forsake gathering together with other believers, as Hebrews 10:25 teaches, because the church is where we worship, hear His Word, receive encouragement, correction, and fellowship, not a place we attend only if our terms are met. James 4:3 also warns that we sometimes ask and do not receive because we ask with wrong motives, wanting to spend what we get on our own pleasures. God wants us to come to Him with humble, surrendered hearts.

That said, your desires themselves are good and God honoring when pursued in His will. Marriage is a holy and lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and we strongly affirm your desire for a wife rather than a casual relationship. We pray that the Lord would lead you to a godly wife, a Christian believer who loves Jesus first, for we are told 2 Corinthians 6:14 not to be unequally yoked, and Proverbs 18:22 says he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of Yahweh. We encourage you to pursue courtship with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer, keeping yourself pure and honoring God in that process, trusting that Psalm 37:4 as you delight yourself in Yahweh, He will give you the desires of your heart according to His perfect will. And we understand your desire for meaningful work and provision through a job as a business analyst or project manager. God calls us to work diligently as unto Him, and we pray He would open the right door for you, for Matthew 6:33 tells us to seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well, and Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that He knows the plans He has for us, plans for peace and not for evil, to give us hope and a future. Romans 8:28 assures us that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to His purpose.

We pray together for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You with our brother, thanking You that he has sought You in prayer. We ask You to forgive us where we have approached You with demands rather than surrender, and we ask You to create in him a humble and trusting heart that loves You above all gifts. Draw him back into faithful fellowship with Your church, not because of what he might receive, but because he loves You and needs the body of Christ. Lord, according to Your will, we ask You to provide for him a godly wife who will be a suitable helper and fellow heir of grace, that together they might build a Christ centered marriage that honors You for a lifetime. And we ask You to provide the right employment for him, work where he can use his skills as a business analyst or project manager with integrity and diligence to provide and to glorify You. Give him patience, perseverance, and peace as he waits on Your timing, and help him to seek Your Kingdom first in all things. We trust Your goodness and Your perfect plan for his life. Wanting a wife and wanting steady, meaningful work as a business analyst or project manager are deep, good longings, and it makes sense you would bring them directly to Jesus. We also hear the discouragement underneath your words, that feeling of putting church on hold until you see answers.

We want to encourage you not to walk away from community while you wait. Isolation often makes the waiting harder, and staying connected, even in a small way, can keep your heart supported while God works in ways we cannot always see right away. He hears you, and He cares about both your future family and your daily provision, even when the timing and shape of the answers are not yet clear.

One simple next step that may help is to share this honestly with one pastor or trusted person at your church this week, not as a bargain but as a real conversation about where you are. And as you look for work, continuing one steady action at a time, like keeping your resume current and letting people in your network know what kind of role you are seeking, can keep you moving forward without carrying the whole burden alone.

Father, we lift this brother to You in Jesus name. You know his desire for a wife and for work that uses his gifts. Give him wisdom, open doors that are right for him, and draw him close to You and to Your people in this season. Keep his heart hopeful and guided by You. Amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord with care and heaviness of heart, and we have sought His mercy on your behalf.

We hear in your words an earnest desire for two good things, a wife and honest work by which to provide, and also a condition laid upon the Lord, that you will not return to His house unless He grants these things according to your terms. We must speak to you faithfully and tenderly concerning this, for your soul's good.

The Scriptures show us a man who also longed to find God in his distress. Job cried, Oh that I knew where I might find Him. And this was his longing, that if God were far away at the uttermost ends of the earth, he would go there, if God were to be found in His temple or in the lowest dungeon, he only wanted to know where he might find Him, and he would make no conditions as to where it might be. True seeking does not bargain with God or set terms for His grace. It seeks Him for Himself, to hear His voice and to be near Him, whether the answer comes as we wish or as His wisdom appoints.

Take comfort also in this truth, that God is mighty and despises not any. Because He is mighty in strength and wisdom, He despises no one who cries to Him. You may fear that He will pass you by, but His greatness is shown in His condescension to hear the sinner who seeks His face. He does not turn away the broken heart that looks to Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

Yet we must ask you gently, are the consolations of God too small for you. It is easy to set up something in the place of God, a wife, a husband, work, honor or wealth, and to make our peace depend upon obtaining it. If these good gifts become the price of our worship, they have become an idol. God would have you find your first consolation in Christ Himself, who poured out His life that sinners trusting in His blood might be reconciled and have peace with God. Where God begins a work He will complete it, and the soul that trusts in Christ alone shall not be put to shame.

To desire marriage is honorable, for marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman ordained by God, and work that is done faithfully is a calling from Him. We will pray that the Lord in His perfect wisdom and timing will provide for you a godly wife if it be His will, and open a door for labor suited to your gifts, whether as business analyst or project manager or in whatever field He appoints. But we cannot ask God to bless a bargain, nor to be bound by our conditions. We ask Him to give you what is best, and to give you a heart to receive it with thanksgiving, even as we ask Him to give you Himself, which is better still.

Do not keep from the assembly of His people until your terms are met. That assembly is the very place where the Word is heard, where prayer is offered, where the soul hears what God has to say and learns to converse with Him. Come as you are, not with a demand but with a longing to find Him. Wait upon the Lord in your appointed time, and be steadfast and abounding in the work of the Lord where He has placed you now.

We pray now for you. O Lord our God, without whom there is nothing good or strong or effectual, look in mercy upon this soul. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus Christ and give simple trust in Him alone for salvation. Grant a submissive heart that seeks Thy face without condition, and that finds Thy consolations not small. In Thy kindness provide daily bread and fitting work, and if it be Thy will, a wife to walk with him in the covenant of marriage before Thee in holiness and love. Draw him again to Thy house, not for what Thy hand may give, but for love of Thyself. Whisper to him, Thou art Mine, and give him victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
