Pray for my husband
We join with you in lifting up your husband before the throne of grace and we thank you for honoring your marriage by bringing him to the Lord in prayer. God ordained marriage as a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman and He delights when a wife faithfully intercedes for her husband, for we know that marriage is meant to reflect Christ and His love for the church. As it is written, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it Ephesians 5:25, and again, The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective James 5:16.
We do not know the specific burden on your heart for him, whether it is his health, his work, his walk with the Lord, or a trial he is facing, but our Father knows every detail and we trust Him to work according to His perfect will. We are encouraged to hear your desire to pray, for it is written, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We also want to gently remind you of the precious truth that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God and that there is salvation in no other. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already done so, we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name that we pray with confidence.

We ask that You draw him closer to Yourself, strengthen his faith, guard his heart and mind, and lead him to walk as a godly man who loves You first and loves his wife as Christ loves the church. Your desire to bring your husband before the throne of grace is itself a token for good, for the Spirit of God moves the heart to pray. With Christians it is not a matter of question as to whether God hears prayer or not, and there is great encouragement to you in this, that intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears.
You are invited to open your mouth wide in prayer, and to plead freely. Ask much because your needs are great, and think also of the needs of your husband. The Lord has promised to give the Holy Spirit to assist in prayer, helping our infirmities, and He has said, before they call I will answer, and while they are yet speaking I will hear. If you cannot even frame the prayer as you would, open your mouth and God will fill it with prayer, and then when you have prayed the prayer that He has given you, He will fill it with answers.
Take your husband by name before the Lord and spread his case before Him with all the arguments you can muster from the promises. Plead as Jacob did, in humility of spirit, and wrestle as one who will not let go until the blessing comes. Remember how Christ prayed for His own, Father keep them, keep them from the evil, and know that your intercession after that same pattern is most acceptable and exceedingly prevalent.
Let us pray together for him now.
O Lord our God, who has been a Husband to Your people in special love and faithfulness and provision, we bring this husband before You. You know his state, his temptations, his sorrows and his sins. Have mercy upon him, O Lord, Son of David. Work in him by Your Spirit, bring him to Yourself and to a true knowledge of Christ, and keep him in Your grace. Where he is weak, strengthen him. Where he is wandering, restore him. Where he is burdened, give him rest in Jesus. Bless this marriage as You have ordained it, a lifelong covenant, and make it to reflect the love of Christ for His Church. Grant to this dear wife a spirit of believing, wrestling prayer, and let her see Your hand in answer, for Your glory. Hear us for Jesus sake. Amen.

True prayer is not the repeating of good words, but going with your heart to the unseen God and telling Him what you feel and what you need, and trusting Him to supply. Try believing prayer and prove the Lord, for He delights to hear and to answer.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, a mystery that reflects Christ and His Church. We lift up this husband to you and ask that you draw him close to yourself through Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other. Save him to the uttermost as he comes to God through Christ, who ever lives to make intercession for us.
We pray that you would strengthen him to be a faithful husband and protector, a man of piety, gentleness and true understanding, walking in the fear of God. Guard his heart and his marriage from all that would seek to pull him away, from temptation and from every influence that plots against faithfulness. Help him to honor his wife as he ought, and to live with her in love and holiness.
We pray also for you as his wife, that the Lord would give you grace to continue in gentleness, meekness and quiet strength, adorning your marriage not with outward display but with a spirit that honors God. May your home be built on prayer, committing all things into Christ's hands and seeking Him first.
