We hear your broken heart and we stand with you in prayer over your marriage of forty years, and we grieve with you in this devastation. We know you have been crying and praying every day and we want you to know that God sees your tears and hears your cries. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 61:2 says When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
We must speak truth to you in love about what is happening. Your husband's involvement with another woman is adultery, and God calls this sin. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. Matthew 19:6 says So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and God hates the breaking of that covenant. Malachi 2:16 says For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel. Your marriage is precious in the sight of God and we pray strongly for its restoration and for your husband to turn from this sin and return to his covenant with you and with the Lord.
We also must gently correct the way you are praying in your pain. We understand your desire for this woman to be removed and for her to move away, but we must not pray for harm to come to her or pray with a spirit of vengeance or deception. Romans 12:19 says Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord. And Proverbs 12:22 says Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight. To hope that she stays only because she does not know your husband is poor and uneducated, and to pray she finds out negative things so she will leave, is rooted in deception and not in truth. God desires truth and repentance, not manipulation. We should pray instead that the truth is revealed in love, that all deception is exposed, and that both your husband and this woman are brought under conviction of sin and repent. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We noticed your request asks for help in the name of God but does not mention Jesus Christ. We say this in love because there is no other way to the Father except through Jesus. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are saved and our prayers are heard. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior and to come to God through Him alone.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear sister and her marriage of forty years. Lord, You see her tears, her sleepless nights, and her faithful prayers for a miracle. We ask You to comfort her heart, to hold her close, and to give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for her husband, Lord, that You would convict him deeply of the sin of adultery, that You would open his eyes to the pain he has caused, to the covenant he made before You, and that You would lead him to repentance and to return to his wife and to You. We pray for this other woman, that You would convict her heart as well, that she would turn from pursuing a married man, and that You would draw her to repentance and to truth. Lord, we do not ask for harm upon anyone, but we ask that You would sever this ungodly relationship according to Your will, that You would remove the temptation and close the door to this adultery, and that You would restore truth and honesty in this marriage. Help this wife to forgive as You have forgiven us, Ephesians 4:32 says And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, and help her to not be overcome by bitterness. Give her wisdom, godly counsel from her pastor and faithful believers, and strength to stand for her marriage in a way that honors You. We pray for a miracle of restoration, healing, and renewal, that what the enemy meant for evil You would use for good and for Your glory. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to pray fervently, to remain faithful in prayer as James 5:16 says The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective, and to seek the support of a Bible believing pastor or mature Christian counselors who can walk with both you and your husband. Guard your heart from bitterness, speak truth in love, and trust the Lord to be your defender and restorer. God is able to change hearts and to heal what is broken when we submit to Him.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
