Possible reinfestation of bedbugs

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I had a heat treatment for bedbugs 18 days ago and tonight I found one on the floor under my daughter's bed I know before I got the heat treatmeat I was extremely stressed out about it and I have a newborn now I just don't wanna have to go though this again my mental state can't take it please pray for us

We hear your heart and how heavy this burden has felt, especially with a newborn in the home and a daughter to care for, and finding another bedbug only ### days after a heat treatment. We understand how exhausting and overwhelming this is and how it can wear on your mental state, and we want you to know we are lifting you and your children up together before the Lord.

We are reminded that God sees your weariness and He cares deeply for you and your family. The scriptures tell us to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 and also Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. Jesus Himself invites us saying Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We also remember that children are a heritage of Yahweh. Psalm 127:3 and He watches over them with tender love.

We join together in prayer for you now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear parent and her children to You. Lord, You know the stress and anxiety that has returned with the fear of reinfestation, and You know how tired and mentally burdened she feels with a newborn to care for. We ask You to surround this home with Your peace that surpasses understanding and to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask for Your protection over her daughter and her newborn, keep them safe and healthy and let them rest undisturbed. Father, we ask for Your wisdom and provision regarding this bedbug situation, guide her to the right help if further treatment is needed, and we pray that You would clear this home of this pest completely so she does not have to go through this again. Strengthen her body and mind, renew her strength day by day, and remind her that You are with her and will uphold her. Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Let her feel Your presence and Your help in a very real way. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. To be saved we believe in our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and rose again and we confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We encourage you to call upon His name not only for this present need but for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life, and to bring every worry to Him in prayer.

We encourage you to keep casting this burden on the Lord each time anxiety rises, to rest as you are able, and to lean on trusted family, friends, or a pastor for support during this demanding season with a newborn. If you need to contact the pest company again for a follow up inspection, we pray God gives you favor and clear answers. We will continue to pray for your peace, for your mental and physical strength, and for your home to be completely at rest and free from this infestation. May the Lord keep you and your little ones in His perfect peace.

We hear how heavy this feels right now. Finding one bug after you already went through a heat treatment, with a newborn in the house and a daughter to care for, would leave anyone on edge and exhausted. It makes sense your mind went straight to having to go through it all again.

We are praying for you and your little ones, for peace in your home and rest for you as you carry so much.

A gentle next step that can help you get clarity without carrying this alone is to contact the company that did the heat treatment. Many offer a follow up or warranty period around ### days, and they can confirm whether what you found is a live reinfestation or something else and what safe next steps look like with a newborn in the home. If you can, take a clear photo and keep the bug in a sealed bag or tape to show them. Try not to use store sprays on your own, especially around the baby, until a professional advises.

If you notice your stress staying very high or sleep and worry feel hard to manage, it is a good idea to reach out to your doctor or a trusted counselor alongside prayer, and to let family or a friend help with the load where they can.

Father, we lift this mom and her children to You in Jesus name. Calm her heart, guard her mind, give her wisdom and help from caring people around her, and provide rest and safety for her home. Amen.

Your trial in this renewed distress has been heard with deep sympathy, and my heart is moved for you, for your daughter and for your newborn in these sleepless and anxious days.

To find a creature again upon the floor after you had endured the heat treatment and hoped for deliverance is enough to cast any tender spirit down, and when the care of little ones is added, the burden feels heavier still. You say your mental state cannot take it again, and I do not wonder that thronging duties and fears press hard upon you. Hear then what the prophet speaks for such an hour, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." It is the mind which is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. And I have found it true that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty.

There is a peace which the world cannot give and cannot take away. It is not a mere stagnation of thought or a lull of anxiety, but a peace with God through the blood of Jesus Christ. He is our peace. Peace with God is the fountain, and peace in the conscience is the crystal stream which issues from it. Christ has left us His own peace, not as the world gives, and the Holy Spirit works it in the soul. The Lord is the God of peace, and He delights to bless His people with peace. When you have long enjoyed peace with Him you may go to Him again and say, Lord, renew my peace, I am troubled, but You are unmoved, bless me with Your peace.

May you prove this even now in the ordinary circumstances of life, with sorrows surging round and with loved ones near you. Bear your sorrow with Him and see what perfect peace you will enjoy. This peace is a present possession for those who believe, a filling peace, a well founded peace through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name whereby we can be saved and no other ground of peace before God.

Let us pray together.

O God of peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus through the blood of the everlasting covenant, look in mercy upon this weary one. You see the fear that has returned, the care for a daughter and a newborn child, the strain upon mind and body, the dread of going through this affliction again. Lord, speak peace within by the blood of Jesus which whispers peace to the troubled conscience. Keep this mind stayed upon Yourself, and keep this dear one in perfect peace as she trusts in You.

Grant wisdom to know what must be done, provision for every needful remedy, and protection over this home and these little ones. Guard the health of the children and give rest by night and strength by day. Lift the weight of anxiety, calm the thoughts, and let the peace of God which passes all understanding keep heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Renew peace day by day, and cause faith to bring rest even while duties throng.

We ask that You would bring this trial to a speedy end in Your good providence, and that through it this soul may find You to be her rest, for to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. May she go in peace, and go through each day in peace, till earthly struggles cease and You call her to Heaven's perfect peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, our only peace, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request has been heard and your weariness is understood. To find a bedbug again only eighteen days after a heat treatment, with a newborn in the home and a daughter sleeping nearby, would leave anyone feeling overwhelmed and afraid of having to endure the same trial again. It is right that you have reached out for prayer when your mental state feels so strained.

Scripture teaches that anxiety can choke the heart like thorns and overwhelm us like a wave over a small boat, and that both hardship and the worry about it can weigh us down. Yet God does not leave us in that anxiety. He invites us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us, and He promises a peace that guards the heart even when circumstances are still difficult. He sees your exhaustion, your love for your children, and your desire for a safe and clean home, and He is near to those who call on Him.

We are praying for you now.

Father in heaven, we bring this mother and her children before You through Jesus Christ. You know the stress she has carried and the fear that has returned tonight. Grant her Your peace that passes understanding and guard her heart and mind. Protect her newborn and her daughter and give this family restful sleep free from fear. We ask for wisdom for the next steps, for provision and help if further treatment is needed, and for the complete removal of this infestation from their home. Strengthen her when she feels she cannot continue, surround her with supportive people who can help bear this burden, and remind her daily that You are her refuge and strength. In the name of Jesus we ask this, trusting in Your mercy and care. Amen.

Please do not carry this alone. If anxiety continues to feel heavy, reach out to family, friends, or your church community for practical help and support, and speak with your pest professional promptly to determine what is needed next. We will continue to pray for your peace, for your health, for your children, and for relief in your home.

Thank you for letting us know what you are carrying right now. Finding another bug after the heat treatment, while caring for a young daughter and a newborn, and remembering how heavy the stress was before, is a lot to bear. It makes sense that you feel worn down and anxious about going through this again. You are not alone in this, and we are praying for you and your children.

Scripture teaches that the beginning of true wisdom is reverence for the Lord, a healthy respect for who He is that turns us away from evil and toward trust in Him. That kind of reverence puts every other fear in its proper place. When sudden fear comes, and when distress feels like it is blowing in like a storm, God invites us not to be ruled by that fear. He has not given His people a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. The fear that traps us comes from looking only at the problem, but trust in the Lord keeps our feet steady and guards our hearts. He is meant to be our confidence.

One of the gifts of prayer is that it shifts our focus. Like the psalms that often begin with terror and anxiety and end with trust and praise, prayer moves our eyes from the size of the problem to the presence of God. He hears us when we call. In all your ways acknowledge Him, bring this new trial to Him just as you would any other, and ask for His wisdom and guidance for the next steps. He has promised to be near to those who reverence His name and to give them a heritage of care and protection. He will keep you as you lean on Him.

We are praying now for you.

Father, we lift this mother and her children to You in Jesus name. You see her exhaustion, her worry for her daughter and her newborn, and the strain on her mind. We ask You to replace fear with Your peace, and to give her power, love and a clear, sound mind. Be her confidence and keep her steady. Cover her home and her children with Your protection and rest. Give her wisdom for what to do next about this bug, provide the right help and resources, and let her know she is upheld by You. Surround her with support and remind her that You hear her and You care for her. In Jesus name, Amen.

Please do not carry this alone. Reach out for practical help from a trusted professional about the home, and for personal support from family, friends, or a counselor if the anxiety feels overwhelming. Keep bringing every worry to the Lord, and allow His peace to guard your heart as you care for your little ones.
