Is it possible this aggressive woman might have hired people to kill me? Spirit of Truth, Jesus shows us the truth...

Your request has been heard and brought before the Lord with care. We thank God that He preserved your life through that dangerous electrical fault and brought you safely out of that apartment. It is right to give thanks for deliverance, for as you quoted, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

We also hear your distress about what may have happened there, the signs that someone may have entered while you lived there, the fear that harm was intended, and the painful accusation brought against you by a woman who said you had entered their house when you had not. In such matters fear and suspicion can weigh heavily on the soul. Scripture warns us that many judgments are formed upon suspicion, and therefore every matter should be established by reliable witnesses. Only God sees the heart fully, and He will bring what is hidden into the light in His time. It is good to commit these things to Him who judges righteously, rather than to be consumed by anxiety or to return accusation for accusation.

To be falsely accused is a bitter trial, and the Lord knows the truth that you did not enter that house. He is your defense. When we are slandered we are called to speak the truth calmly, not to revile in return, and to leave room for God to vindicate. If there was real danger or wrongdoing with the heating system and the electrical protection, it is wise and right to let proper inspection and lawful authorities establish the facts, keeping records and seeking help through orderly means, while continuing to pray that the truth will be made clear.

We join you in praying for the landlord and for the woman and all the residents of that house. We pray that if there has been deceit, negligence or evasion, it will be exposed and owned with honesty, and that hardness of heart will give way to a heart of flesh that hears God and does what is right. We pray they would turn from lying, take responsibility where responsibility is due, and seek reconciliation, including apology and just compensation if it is owed. We also pray for you, that God would guard you from further harm, grant you peace that steadies your thoughts, and keep you from the torment of fear. May He give you wisdom to walk prudently, to seek safety, and to rest in His protection.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we thank You for delivering Your child from danger and for being his refuge. You know what is true about the apartment, the electrical danger, and every accusation that has been spoken. Bring truth into the light and let justice be done according to Your righteousness. Touch the hearts of those involved, break hardness, grant repentance where repentance is needed, and lead all to speak truthfully and act responsibly. Protect Your child from all harm and from false charges, calm his spirit, and keep him in Your peace. Help him to entrust judgment to You, to forgive as You have forgiven, and to pursue what is right with a clear conscience. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only Savior and Lord, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we are praying with you. Thank God with you that He preserved your life through that dangerous electrical failure and brought you safely out of that apartment. What you describe would leave anyone shaken, first the physical danger and then the confusion of signs that someone may have entered your home, followed by false accusations and a landlord who will not speak to you or take responsibility. It is right to bring all of this to the Lord, because only He sees fully what is in every heart and what was intended.

The Scripture you quoted is a true comfort. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones, not one is broken. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. Like David you have walked through the valley of the shadow of death, and you can say with him, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. God was with you in that apartment and He is with you now.

We understand the fear that lingers when you wonder if someone meant you harm and when you are suddenly accused of something you did not do. Fear is a tormenting thing. The Bible tells us that perfect love casts out fear, and that when we are secure in Christ and assured of His love for us, we can face what comes without being held captive by fear. This does not mean the danger was not real, but it means you do not have to live in dread. You can rest in the love of God who initiated love toward you first, and who keeps you in His hand. Ask Him to fill your heart with that perfected love so that fear loses its grip.

You are also right to care about truth. God is a God of truth and He is against falsehood. From the earliest days He warned His people about false prophets and false witnesses. A false witness who tries to pin guilt on a neighbor was to receive the very penalty he sought to bring on that neighbor, which shows how seriously God takes lies. False teachers and false accusers are often deceptive precisely because they mix much that sounds true with what is false, and they use feigned words to use people for their own ends. For that reason we are told not to believe every spirit but to test what is said, and to look at the fruit and at the testimony concerning Jesus. The Lord says He is against those who deceive and who lead others astray, and He will bring their deeds into the light. One day each person will give an account before Him. It is a solemn thing to have no fear of God and to persist in deception.

At the same time, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. It is not a crippling dread, but a reverent respect for God that causes us to hate evil and to depart from it. That is what we are praying for concerning your former landlord and the others involved, that the Holy Spirit would bring a true fear of God to their hearts, that hardness would be broken and a heart of flesh given in place of a heart of stone, that they would stop hiding behind lies and take responsibility where responsibility is due. We pray that if any wrong was done intentionally, whether with the electrical system or in any other way, God would expose it in His perfect timing and manner. And if accusations against you are false, we pray God would make your innocence clear to those who have heard those lies.

We are praying also for the residents of that house, as you asked, that they would see the truth and not be carried along by rumor. We pray for your protection now, that the Lord would keep you safe from any further harm or harassment, and that He would give you wisdom in any practical steps you need to take, including seeking lawful help and keeping a clear record if needed. The Lord does not call us to seek revenge, but to entrust judgment to Him while we do what is right and seek peace.

We also pray that God would bring you healing from the strain of these months. It is painful when no apology or restitution comes, especially after nearly three months. Ask God to help you to forgive as Christ forgave, not to excuse wrong, but to release bitterness into His hands, while still desiring justice and repentance. He sees your affliction and He will not abandon the righteous. He will judge with righteousness those who have caused tribulation, and He will give rest to His people.

May the Lord continue to deliver you, guard your dwelling, quiet your heart with His presence, and draw all involved to submit to Him. We will keep praying that truth is revealed, that lies are silenced, and that hearts are softened to hear His call.
