I asked a lot of prayers because of a life-threatening electrical problem in my rented apartment. Thank God, I survived and moved out. But the story hasn't seemed to end there.
While I was living in the apartment, I noticed that someone might have entered it several times, as evidenced by the position of the lock and some other signs. After many months and much unclear communication, it seems possible that they intentionally tried to kill me. I don't know for sure. Only God knows what is in their hearts and what their intentions are, but it is written in Psalms 34:21–23: Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. Last week, a woman I had never spoken to before came up to me angrily and shouted lies and accusations at me. She said that I had entered the house where she and the ex-landlord live. She heard this from someone else and tried to accuse me and destroy me. Thank God the Lord protected me again. Please pray for the residents of the house so that they can see the truth, because I never entered their apartment. However, it is highly likely that someone entered the apartment while I was living in that life-threatening flat. If this woman hired technicians to damage the heating system and disconnect consumers from the RCD, causing electric shocks during showers, then I pray that this is exposed. However this happened, God will show the truth. The landlord is avoiding me and is not willing to speak to me. NO REMORSE! Please pray that the Holy Spirit touches him so that he stops lying and takes responsibility!

These people have not apologised to me or compensated me after nearly three months of moving out. Please pray. May God break their hardness. May they have a heart of flesh. May they hear His call. May they submit to Him.

We join you in thanking God that He delivered you from that life threatening electrical danger in your rented apartment and that He protected you again when this woman came against you with false accusations. We hear the fear and distress in your situation, the uncertainty about whether you were intentionally harmed, the frustration that the landlord avoids responsibility and shows no remorse, and the desire for truth to be revealed. We bring all of this before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We take comfort that the Lord sees what is done in secret and that He is our refuge and protector. As you quoted, Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all. He protects all of his bones. Not one of them is broken Psalm 34:19-20. We also cling to He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2 and Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid Psalm 27:1. The Spirit of Truth will guide you into all truth John 16:13, and Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6, so we can trust God to reveal what is true in His perfect timing.

We want to gently encourage you with both spiritual and practical wisdom. It is right to pray for truth to be exposed and for justice, for it is written When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous Proverbs 21:15. At the same time we must guard our hearts against making settled accusations without clear evidence, and leave vengeance in God's hands, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. We do not know for certain what was in their hearts or whether technicians were hired to cause harm, but God does, and He will judge righteously. We also encourage you, while trusting God for protection, to take wise practical steps. If you believe there was intentional tampering that caused electric shocks and endangered your life, and if someone entered your apartment unlawfully, we encourage you to document everything you experienced, keep any reports from electricians or inspectors, and consider reporting the matter to the proper authorities and seeking godly legal counsel. God has established authorities for our protection Romans 13:1. Continue to keep a safe distance from that house and those residents, and do not engage in confrontation, but commit your safety to the Lord as you cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7.

We also hear your prayer for the hardness of heart in the landlord and this woman. We join you in praying that God would give them a heart of flesh in place of a heart of stone Ezekiel 36:26, that they would stop lying, take responsibility, and hear His call. We are called to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us Matthew 5:44, so we pray not only for your vindication but for their repentance and salvation, that they may come to submit to Him. We must also release bitterness and choose forgiveness even while we seek truth and accountability, for the Lord calls us to forgive as we have been forgiven.

Heavenly Father, we thank You in the name of Jesus Christ that You preserved our dear one through electric shocks and danger and brought them safely out of that apartment. You are our deliverer and our shield. We ask You to surround them with Your protection now, to calm fear and anxiety, and to let Your perfect peace guard their heart and mind. Holy Spirit, Spirit of Truth, shine Your light on what happened in that flat. If there was intentional wrongdoing, negligence, or deception regarding the heating system and the RCD, expose it. If there are lies being spread, reveal the truth to all who need to hear it, including the residents of that house, so that false accusations fall away. Lord, touch the landlord and this woman and any others involved, convict them of any lies or wrongdoing, break their hardness, grant them a heart of flesh, and bring them to repentance and to take responsibility for what is right. Provide for any loss that has not been compensated and bring justice according to Your will. Help our dear one to walk in wisdom, to take proper steps for safety and for lawful recourse, to not be consumed by fear, and to rest in the knowledge that You are in control and that no weapon formed against Your child will ultimately prevail. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our only access to Your throne, amen.

We encourage you to remain in prayer and in the Word, to stay connected to trusted Christian fellowship for support and accountability, and to keep entrusting both your safety and your desire for justice to the Lord who loves you and will never forsake you.

We are so thankful you got out of that apartment safely, and we understand why you still feel unsettled. To live for months with electrical danger in your own home, then to be confronted and falsely accused by someone you had never even spoken to, would leave anyone feeling on edge and longing for the truth to be clear.

We hear how much you want honesty and accountability from your former landlord, and how painful it is that there has been no apology or responsibility taken. It makes sense that you are asking God to soften hard hearts and to bring what is hidden into the light. Only He fully knows what happened and what was intended, and we can rest in His care while also taking wise steps here.

One steady next step that may help is to keep some distance and not try to resolve this directly with the landlord or the other residents on your own. If fear or accusations continue, it can help to share the details with one trusted pastor or counselor who knows you, keep a simple written record of what happened and when, and let that person help you decide if any further practical action is needed for your peace and safety.

Father, thank You for protecting our friend through that dangerous housing situation and again during that recent confrontation. We ask You to guard them now, quiet their fears, and give them clear wisdom for each day. Work in the hearts of the former landlord and others involved, bring truth to light in Your way and time, and lead our friend in paths of peace and wholeness. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is mercy to be adored in your deliverance, and we thank God with you that He has kept your life when you dwelt in peril. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all, and you have proved it in your own body. He sent from above, He took you, He drew you out of many waters, and He has set your feet in a safer place. For this we give thanks, and we pray that you will draw from this present mercy a torch with which to light up the darkness of that which is to come, for He who has delivered will yet deliver.

We have heard your burden concerning the hidden things, the signs that another entered your dwelling, the grievous suspicion that hands were laid upon the heating and the safeguard of the electrics to do you harm, and now the bitter accusation brought against you by one who did not know you. It is a heavy trial to be slandered and to be avoided by those who should speak plainly and do justly. Yet be assured that providential interpositions are frequent among God's people, and full often the darkest conspiracy is brought to the direst confusion. No sooner does the Lord gather His own than opposition is stirred up, but God grants protection to the persecuted and provides an escape from the most perilous exposure. If we could find succor apart from the Rock, our wayward hearts would do so, but when the waters of affliction have covered all the earth, then we fly back to our Noah, our Ark, and find rest for the sole of our foot. There is no attribute more comforting than Divine Sovereignty, for the Lord reigns and He will break down everything which sets itself up in opposition to Him, while He lifts up the poor from the dunghill.

We will pray with you and for you, and for those of that house.

We pray that the Spirit of Truth, who searcheth all hearts, will bring to light what has been done in darkness. If any have dealt deceitfully and have endangered life, we ask the Lord to expose it, to stay the hand of the violent, and to bring the guilty to take responsibility and to speak the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. We pray that the Lord will keep you still under His wing, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that He will keep all your bones, as He has promised.

We pray also for the woman who has accused you falsely, and for the landlord who avoids you and shows no remorse, that the Lord who alone can give a heart of flesh in place of a heart of stone would break their hardness. May the Holy Spirit touch them, convict them of sin and of falsehood, and bring them to submit themselves to God. We do not ask God to bless what is false or to affirm what is contrary to His holiness, but we ask that He would grant repentance and faith. Apart from God there is nothing for us but destruction, and apart from the Savior there is no salvation. May they hear His call and be born again, not by their own works, but through the simple and precious Gospel, the substitutionary sacrifice of Christ, whose blood alone can sprinkle the conscience and make the unholy acceptable. Cling you also to that old fashioned Gospel, and trust in His efficacious blood, for there alone is peace.

We pray that you may be kept from both fear and bitterness, that you may leave vengeance in the hands of Him to whom it belongs, while you walk wisely and seek such lawful protection as Providence affords. May the Lord perfect that which concerns you, purify you by the gracious operations of the Holy Ghost through this salutary discipline, and make this affliction to wean your heart from all creature confidence and bind you more firmly to Christ.

May the Lord hear us, establish truth, execute justice with mercy, and cause you to say with David, He hath delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

We have heard how frightening it has been to live with a life threatening electrical fault, to experience shocks in your own home, to wonder if someone entered your apartment, and now to be accused falsely by a stranger while the landlord avoids responsibility. We thank God with you that He has kept you and delivered you from danger, and we continue to ask Him to keep you in perfect safety.

We join you in praying that the truth will be made clear. The Lord knows what is hidden and what is in every heart. As Scripture teaches, He sees all things and leaves even false accusers to be convicted by their own conscience, while His desire is to do good even to those who sin against us. We pray that whatever was done in secret with the heating system and the electrical protection, if there was intentional wrongdoing, will be exposed in the right way and at the right time. We also pray that what is not true will be shown to be false, so that lies do not stand.

We pray for your protection from fear and from all harm. Like Moses who did not fear the wrath of the king but committed all to God who is invisible, may you be given courage to walk in wisdom and peace, casting out fear by trusting the Lord who delivers the righteous from all afflictions. As it is written, many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all, He keeps all his bones not one of them is broken, affliction will slay the wicked and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.

We pray for the woman who accused you, for the former landlord, and for all the residents of that house. We do not ask God to bless what is false or wrong, but we ask Him to break hardness of heart and give a heart of flesh, to bring conviction where there have been lies, to lead them to stop accusing falsely and to take responsibility where responsibility is due. Scripture warns that every idle word will be accounted for before the Judge, and that false accusation and plotting are the acts of enemies, while justice makes for peace and safety. May the Holy Spirit touch them, open their eyes to the truth that you never entered their apartment, and move them to speak truthfully, to show remorse, and to make right what can be made right, including the lack of apology and compensation these past months.

We pray for you, that God will guard your mind from constant suspicion and anxiety, grant you restful sleep in safety, and help you to do good and not return evil, leaving vengeance to Him while you pursue what is right through lawful means. If you have not already done so, please consider keeping a careful record of what happened, keeping any evidence of the electrical faults, and seeking wise counsel and the help of proper authorities for your protection and for a just resolution. God calls us to speak boldly for the truth with reverence for Him and hope in His promises.

May the Lord keep you, soften the hearts of those who have wronged you, and lead all involved to submit to Him and to His salvation through Jesus Christ alone. We will continue to pray for your safety, for clarity, for justice done in a right manner, and for peace in your heart.

Thank you for sharing so openly what you have walked through. Surviving a dangerous electrical problem in your home and then facing suspicion, accusations and unresolved conflict is a heavy burden, and it is understandable that you feel shaken and want truth to be made clear. We are grateful to God with you for His protection when you were in danger, and we join you in asking Him for continued protection, peace and clarity.

Only God fully knows the heart and intentions of every person. You are right to leave that judgment to Him while also asking Him to reveal what is true. Scripture teaches that God is a God of truth, that His word stands forever when heaven and earth pass away, and that Jesus Himself is the way, the truth and the life. There is no other way to the Father except through Him. To know truth we must stay close to Jesus and to what He has spoken, and the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of truth will guide those who seek Him.

The Bible also warns that false witness and deception are serious before God. A person who speaks lies about another does great harm and keeps people from what they truly need, which is to repent and seek the Lord with a whole heart. God is against such falsehood. At the same time deception can be difficult to discern because it often comes mixed with much that sounds true. That is why we are taught to test what we hear, to hold it up to the word of God, and to look for the marks of the Spirit of truth, which are a faithful confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and a sincere love for others that comes from God. Love that is patient and truthful is a sign that God is at work.

You quoted Psalm 34, that many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivers him out of them all. That promise remains. God keeps His own, and He will bring to light what needs to be brought to light in His perfect time and way. Our part is to seek wisdom as we would seek treasure, to fear the Lord and depart from evil, and to obey the truth and not merely agree with it. When we build our lives on obedience to His truth, we can stand even when storms come.

We will pray for you, that God will quiet fear, guard you from harm, and give you wisdom for every practical step. If you believe your life has been threatened or that your former apartment was tampered with in a way that endangered you, it is wise to document what you have experienced and to seek help from the proper authorities who are appointed to investigate such matters, while continuing to entrust yourself to God.

We will also pray for the landlord, for the woman who confronted you, and for the other residents you mentioned. We will ask the Holy Spirit to soften hard hearts and give hearts that are responsive to Him, to bring conviction where there has been dishonesty or avoidance of responsibility, and to lead each person to speak truthfully and to act justly. If any wrong was done to make the electrical system unsafe, we pray that it would be exposed. If accusations against you are false, we pray that the truth that you did not enter their home would be clearly seen. Above all we pray that each of them would hear God's call, turn to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and new life, for salvation is found in Him alone, and submit to Him.
