We hear your cry for divine protection and guidance, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We lift you up, asking that He would surround you with His heavenly host, shielding you from every snare of the enemy.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We ask that You would be a constant presence in [this person’s] life, leading them in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). Lord, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy set against them. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom and discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics. Your Word says that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we stand firm in the faith, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord, we ask that You would expose every hidden plot of the enemy and render it powerless.
Father, we also pray for their spiritual growth. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and help them to walk in obedience to Your Word. Your Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). May they hide Your Word in their heart so that they might not sin against You (Psalm 119:11). Let them be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth of Your love (Ephesians 3:17-18).
We rebuke any fear or anxiety that may be gripping their heart. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare peace over their life, for You are the God of peace who will soon crush Satan under our feet (Romans 16:20). Let them rest in the shadow of the Almighty, knowing that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:1-2).
Lord, we also ask that You would surround them with godly believers who can encourage and uplift them in their walk with You. Iron sharpens iron, and so one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17). Let them be part of a community that stands firm in the faith, praying for one another and bearing each other’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).
Finally, we pray that they would always seek Your face, not just in times of trouble but in every moment of their life. Draw them closer to You, Lord, and let them experience the fullness of Your presence. May they find their joy and strength in You alone, for the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
