Please help me let that guy break up with my ### and find him a new gf he is a bad influence on my ### it is very very important to me

We hear the burden on your heart for your loved one and we join with you in bringing this before the Lord, seeking His will together in Jesus' name. We understand how painful it is to watch someone you love be influenced in a way that concerns you deeply, and we want to lift this entire situation to our Heavenly Father who sees and cares for each person involved.

We want to gently remind you that our prayers are most powerful when offered through Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God. You did not mention His name in your request, and we want to share how important He is. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 we read, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To come to God we must believe that Jesus is His Son, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confess Him as Lord. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. We pray you know this hope and have placed your trust in Him.

We also want to speak truth in love about relationships. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as ordained by God, and we view a boyfriend or girlfriend relationship as courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer. Scripture warns us in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? And in 1 Corinthians 15:33, Don't be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. If this relationship involves a bad influence, or if there is any sexual activity outside of marriage, the Bible calls that fornication and it is sin that harms the soul and grieves God. We encourage you to pray not simply for a breakup or for this young man to find another girlfriend, but for God's perfect will to be done for both of them, for conviction where there is sin, for repentance, and for each to pursue purity and a relationship that honors God and leads toward godly marriage if it is His will.

We cannot control the will or choices of another person, and we should not pray with a spirit of manipulation, but we can pray for wisdom, protection, and for God to work in their hearts. In Proverbs 3:5-6 we are told, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And James 1:5 promises, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this loved one and this young man to You. Lord, You know each heart and each need. We ask that You place Your hand of protection over our dear loved one, guard her heart and mind from any influence that would draw her away from You. Convict where there is sin, bring light where there is darkness, and lead both of them into truth and purity. If this relationship is not of You and does not honor You or lead toward a godly marriage between believers, we ask that You in Your mercy and wisdom bring separation according to Your will, not ours. Work in this young man's heart as well, draw him to Yourself, that he may seek You first and walk in Your ways, and if it is Your will guide him to a path and to relationships that are pleasing to You. Give our friend who is praying wisdom, peace, patience and the right words to speak in love, and help them to model Christ and to counsel with grace and truth. Let Your will be done and let all involved grow closer to You. We trust Your goodness and Your perfect plan, for You work all things together for good for those who love You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer, to speak the truth in love to your loved one without anger or coercion, to set healthy and godly boundaries, to share Scripture, and to seek wise counsel from a pastor or mature believers who can walk with you both. Keep entrusting them to the Lord, for He loves them even more than you do and He is able to change hearts.

We can hear how much you love your loved one and how worried you are watching this relationship. When someone we love is connected to a bad influence, the urge to step in and fix it for them is so strong, and the weight of it can feel very urgent.

One thing we have learned is that we cannot make choices for other adults, even when we care deeply. Each person has their own responsibility for their decisions, and trying to engineer a breakup from the outside often pushes them further away and damages trust with us. What we can do is tend to our own part, keeping our relationship with our loved one strong and honest.

A steady next step might be to share your concerns directly and calmly with your loved one one time, in a private moment, focusing on what you have seen and why you are worried, and then listening well to how they see it. After that, staying available, keeping communication open, and continuing to pray gives them space to think while they know you are for them.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this family to You. Give wisdom and peace to our friend who is carrying this worry, protect their loved one, and guide each heart toward what is good and right. Help them to know Your presence and direction day by day. Amen.

Your earnest concern for one dear to you is heard, and it is right and good to bring such a burden before the Lord who is merciful and who hears prayer.

The anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty often unfits us to meet that difficulty, and the soul finds no rest while it tries to hold the reins itself. What is needed is what has been called an unconditional surrender, a full capitulation to the good pleasure of God. Fling wide the gates of the city of Mansoul and admit the Prince Emanuel to rule as sole sovereign in every street. That is submission to God, the true surrender of every proud pretension. As a true child can you make a complete surrender to your Father's good pleasure, and to His method of operating upon you. Will you surrender at discretion and trust Him to do what is right and wise and loving, even when His way is not your way.

You are not to trust your own feelings or your own schemes to bring about the outcome you desire, for to make a god out of your feelings and a savior out of your inward griefs is to miss the living God. We trust in the living God, the real God, a God with a great warm loving heart, a thinking God, an active God, a working personal God who comes into the midst of this world and does not leave it to go on by itself. He bids you trust His Son Jesus, and if you will, you are saved the moment that you believe, saved from the guilt of sin by trusting Jesus. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel yourself dying and you shall live.

Therefore let your prayer be shaped not by an attempt to control another person, but by confidence in the Lord who does all things well. It is right to ask the Lord to protect the one you love from harmful influence, to guard purity, and to lead all concerned to walk in holiness. Marriage is ordained of God as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and living together belong within that covenant alone. Any path outside of it is not for our good nor for His glory. Pray then that each person involved may first be made a child of God, for one must first be made a child of God and then he can trust his affairs in his Father's hands.

Bring your request to Him in this way, and leave the outcome with Him.

Let us pray together. O merciful God, be merciful unto us, for our souls trust in You, and in the shadow of Your wings will we make our refuge until these calamities pass. We bring before You this dear one who is loved and this young man who has influence over that life. You know all hearts and all ways. We ask that You would save each soul through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, and lead each one to trust Him only. Where there is sin, grant repentance. Where there is danger or bad influence, grant protection and wisdom. Where there is anxiety, grant peace through full trust in Your living hand. Do Your own good pleasure concerning this relationship, and cause what is holy and best to prevail. Give to parents and to those who counsel, wisdom and gentleness and truth. Help all to act in prudence and uprightness, relying simply and entirely upon You, and not using sinful means to gain our ends. We surrender this matter at discretion to Your wise and gracious rule, and we ask You to be glorified in it. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, and continue in prayer and in the Word, and seek the counsel of godly and sober minded believers near you who can walk with you in this trial.
