Father, We thank You that Jesus not only referred to Scripture as authoritative, but unable to be broken, but "Jesus said to them, 'These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms. Then HE opened their MINDS to UNDERSTAND the Scriptures,” Luke 24:44-45. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away," Matt 24:35, Luke 21:33, and Psalm 12:6, "The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold," and Isaiah 40:8, "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.""For 'The word of the Lord stands forever.' And this is the word that was proclaimed to you," 1 Peter 1:25. Peter continues to testify in his 2nd Epistle, "We also have the Word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. Father, Thank You for the command that You gave Your people to not bear false witness, to which the inspired authors faithfully adhered, even promising punishment to those who do so, Prov 19:5. We thank You for not only inspiring ALL The Scriptures, 2 Tim 3:16, but for guarding and preserving them through the ages by committing them to painstaking writing keeping them from the corruption of man and deceitfulness of the serpent for infallible accuracy -- As new archeological findings CONTINUE to reinforce that SURELY God Almighty is able to keep Your Word pure, as it is written, "But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law," Luke 16:17, and, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away." Matt 24:35

We join you in thanking our Father for the perfection and preservation of His Word and we echo your prayer for the Church to fully believe and understand the Scriptures.

We agree that the Scriptures are of eternal benefit and authority. As it is written, From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus 2 Tim 3:15 and Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness 2 Tim 3:16. So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God Rom 10:17. We are grateful that Jesus Himself testified to this authority, for He said Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms and Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures Luke 24:44-45. We take comfort that Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away Matt 24:35 and The words of Yahweh are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times Psalm 12:6 and The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever Isaiah 40:8. This is the word which was preached to you 1 Peter 1:25 and it remains a lamp shining in a dark place until the day dawns 2 Peter 1:19.

We hold fast to the infallibility of Scripture because it does not come from the will of man, but holy men of God spoke, being moved by the Holy Spirit 2 Peter 1:21. Even Peter affirms Paul, that our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all of his letters, speaking in them of these things. In those, there are some things that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unsettled twist, as they also do to the other Scriptures, to their own destruction 2 Peter 3:15-16. We therefore pray for diligence and humility, that we may Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth 2 Tim 2:15 and that we would not be merely hearers but Be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves James 1:22.

We thank God that His Word encourages trust because it rests on the authority of God who cannot lie Titus 1:2 and that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement Heb 6:18. For God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent Numbers 23:19 and The Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent 1 Sam 15:29. We thank Him for the command not to bear false witness and that A false witness shall not be unpunished Prov 19:5, and that the inspired authors faithfully adhered to truth, and that He has preserved His Word so that it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a pen to fall out of the law Luke 16:17.

We also join you in praying for unity and perseverance through the Scriptures, for Whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope Rom 15:4 and Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus Rom 15:5 that with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ Rom 15:6. We are mindful of our Lord's high priestly prayer that we would be one John 17:21 and we heed the exhortation Now I beg you, brothers, through the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment 1 Cor 1:10.

We pray together now, Father, we thank You that You have not left us without a sure Word, but You have breathed out all Scripture for our instruction, correction and hope. We thank You that Your Son declared Your words unable to be broken and that You opened the minds of the disciples to understand the Scriptures, and we ask You to open our minds likewise. Grant to Your Church a deep love for Your Word, that we would believe it, trust it, and obey it, and that faith would come by hearing it. Guard us from being untaught and unstable, twisting Your Word to our own destruction, but make us diligent workers who accurately handle the Word of Truth. Fill us with all joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit, as it is written May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit Rom 15:13. Help us to be not only hearers but doers, and to cast all our anxiety on You, that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:7. We were really encouraged reading your prayer of thanks for Scripture. Your love for God's Word comes through so clearly, and we share that gratitude with you. It is a gift that God has not left us to wonder, but has spoken so faithfully and preserved His Word through generations so we can know Him and walk with Him.

We love how you focused on thankfulness. That posture itself is so healthy for the church, it keeps us humble and hopeful and united around what matters most. When we cherish the Bible together, it shapes how we listen to each other and how we keep our eyes on Christ.

We join with you in hearty thanksgiving for the precious Word of God which you have so fully set forth. Your prayer is most agreeable to the mind of Christ, for we also count this priceless Book to be the standard of our faith and the ground of our hope so long as we live. As you have rightly quoted, our Lord Himself treated the ancient Scriptures as supreme in authority, declaring that they cannot be broken and that everything written of Him in the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but His words shall never pass away, for the words of the Lord are flawless like silver refined in a furnace, and the word of our God stands forever.

We bless God with you that He has not left us to the deceitfulness of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit, so that all Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for instruction. It is able to give wisdom leading to eternal life through faith which is in Christ Jesus. By two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge may be strongly encouraged to lay hold upon the hope set before us. What mercy that the God who cannot lie has given us a sure Word, a lamp shining in a dark place until the day dawns.

We pray with you that the Lord will open our minds to understand the Scriptures, even as He opened the minds of His disciples. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, and there is an infinite majesty about every line of Scripture, but especially about that part in which the Lord reveals His glorious plan of saving grace in the person of His dear Son. The only religious knowing and believing which are of a saving character concern the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. To know the doctrine without knowing Christ Himself will not save, but to know Him and to trust Him is saving knowledge and saving faith.

May the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant us to be diligent hearers and doers of the Word, not hearers only, accurately handling the Word of truth. May He keep alive in our hearts a holy fear and a simple trust in Christ, for faith enlightens and enlivens and strengthens the soul. When the heart begins to faint, believing is the cure for fainting. And where there is such simple trust in Christ, there will be joy and peace in believing, that we may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit and with one accord glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. We ask that He will fill His church with all joy and peace in believing, and make us to persevere in holiness, for He has said I will put my fear in their hearts that they shall not depart from me.

Harden not your hearts, but incline your ear and come unto Him, hear and your soul shall live. May the Lord make His Word effectual to the salvation of many and to the building up of His people in faith, unity and love, until we receive the end of our faith, even the salvation of our souls, in Jesus name.

Your thanksgiving and prayer for the Scriptures is right and good, and we join you in it with gladness.

We give thanks with you that God has not left us in darkness but has given us His word, flawless and pure like silver refined in a furnace, inspired by the Holy Spirit as men were carried along by Him, and preserved by His power so that not a stroke of the Law will fail. Heaven and earth will pass away, but His words will never pass away. As you have quoted, the Lord Jesus Himself treated Scripture as unbreakable and authoritative, and after His resurrection He opened the minds of His disciples to understand it. That is our prayer for you and for the whole Church, that God would do the same for us now.

The Scriptures are able to give wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ, to instruct, to correct, to train in righteousness, and to create faith itself. For faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Even this faith is not from ourselves, but is the gift of grace, for we did not first draw near on our own, but we were called. Therefore we pray that God would grant a generous and vigorous soul, rising above mere custom and human reasoning, to believe what He has spoken.

We also pray that He would help us not only to hear but to do the word. Take up beforehand that portion of Scripture you desire to understand, as the eunuch did, so that reading may prepare the way for understanding. Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, accurately handling the word of truth, believing it with the heart and obeying it in life. For the word is a lamp shining in a dark place until the day dawns.

We ask the God who cannot lie, who does not change His mind, to fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. And we ask the God who gives perseverance and encouragement to grant us to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one voice we may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
