We lift up ### before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of this trial. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mothers’ wombs and numbers every hair on our heads. We ask for Your healing hand to rest upon ### as they face this open heart surgery. Strengthen their body, steady their spirit, and grant wisdom to every surgeon, nurse, and caregiver involved. Lord, You have promised in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* We claim this promise over ###, trusting in Your power to restore and renew.
We also pray for peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus, for anxiety and fear have no place where Your perfect love dwells. Remind them of Your presence in the quiet moments before surgery and in the recovery that follows. Help them to lean not on their own understanding but to trust in You with all their heart, as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches.
If there are areas in ###’s life where sin or unforgiveness may be hindering their healing, we ask that You reveal them in love and grant repentance and restoration. Your Word tells us in James 5:16, *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."* We stand in the gap for ###, believing that Your will is for wholeness—body, soul, and spirit.
Above all, Lord, we pray that this trial would draw ### closer to You. If they have not yet placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, we ask that You would open their heart to the truth of the Gospel. There is no healing apart from the cross, no hope apart from the resurrection. We pray that they would come to know You as their Redeemer, the One who bore their sins and sicknesses on Calvary. In John 14:6, Jesus said, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."* May ### find eternal life in You, even as they seek physical healing.
We declare over ### that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life, strength, and complete restoration over their body. May this surgery be a testimony to Your glory, a story of Your faithfulness that will encourage others to trust in You. We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
