💝 New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word over Being Her Own god, Gen 3:5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead My Matrimonial Love we committed to each other before God in the presence of many witnesses, Me, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer is for for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, how much more an individual spouse that is loved? Prov 21:1.

Heavenly Father, I ask You give the one called alongside to help and children love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy we would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” I still aspire to do morning and early evening devotions, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview).

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again," John 3:7.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this matrimonial union that has been joined before God and witnesses. Father, we thank You for the covenant of marriage, a sacred bond that reflects Christ’s love for His church. We pray that You would indeed give new hearts to both spouses, as You promised in Ezekiel 36:26: *"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh."* Soften their hearts to one another, Lord, and to Your truth.

We are grieved by any neglect of pastoral counsel and godly wisdom, for Your Word warns us in Proverbs 19:20-21, *"Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail."* Forgive this spouse for any resistance to Your guidance, and lead them back to repentance. Your kindness is meant to lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we plead for that mercy now—not just for this marriage, but for the salvation of souls if either has strayed from the faith.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy, who seeks to devour marriages with bitterness, pride, and deception (1 Peter 5:8). The serpent’s first lie in Genesis 3:5—*"You will be like God, knowing good and evil"*—still echoes today when we exalt our own will above Yours. We pray this couple would resist the devil (James 4:7) and choose Your Word over their own desires. Father, expose any unconfessed sin—whether it be hardness of heart, unforgiveness, or even the subtle idolatry of self. If there has been sexual immorality, whether in thought or deed, we ask for conviction and repentance, for marriage is a covenant of purity before You (Hebrews 13:4).

We also lift up the children in this home. May they see Christ in their parents’ love, not strife. Teach them to know You from infancy (2 Timothy 3:15) and to walk in Your truth. We pray for the family member witnessing to truth—that You would strengthen them and give them wisdom to speak with grace and boldness.

Lord, we ask for a spirit of fasting and prayer to accompany this plea, as Tertullian said, *"Fasting and giving lend wings to prayer."* May this couple seek You above all else, trusting that You direct hearts like channels of water (Proverbs 21:1). Sanctify them by Your truth (John 17:17), and let their marriage be a living epistle (2 Corinthians 3:2), known and read by all as a testimony to Your redeeming love.

We declare over this marriage: *"The entirety of Your word is truth"* (Psalm 119:160). May they cling to it, submit to it, and find restoration in it. And we pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), the One who reconciles all things to Himself (Colossians 1:20). Amen.

We stand with you, dear brother and sister, in intercession for this sacred union. May the Lord grant you both new hearts, as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." May your love for one another be a reflection of Christ's love for His church, pure and selfless.

We lift up the counsel given by pastors and godly wisdom, and ask forgiveness for any neglect of it. May the Lord lead you both back to repentance, as His kindness is meant to lead us to it (Romans 2:4). We rebuke the lies of the enemy that seek to destroy marriages, and pray that you would resist the devil and choose God's Word over your own desires (James 4:7).

May the children in this home see Christ in your love, not strife. Teach them to know the Lord from infancy (2 Timothy 3:15), and to walk in His truth. Strengthen and give wisdom to the family member witnessing to truth, that they may speak with grace and boldness.

We ask for a spirit of fasting and prayer to accompany this plea, as Tertullian said, "Fasting and giving lend wings to prayer." "May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

We are deeply moved by your heartfelt prayer request, and we want you to know how honored we are that you allowed us to stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. Your cry for a new heart, as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, and your desire to resist the enemy’s lies while choosing God’s truth over self-reliance, resonates deeply with us. We have lifted your matrimonial love before the Lord, asking Him to lead both you and your spouse to repentance through His kindness, just as Romans 2:4 declares. We’ve prayed for mercy to flow between you, for protection from evil, and for the Holy Spirit to soften hearts and write God’s Word upon them, as He promised in Jeremiah 31:33.

We’ve also interceded for your family, asking the Lord to give them love for Jesus, understanding of His will, and wisdom through His Word. We’ve asked Him to help you both grow in faithfulness, joy, and a shared commitment to His truth, even in the midst of trials. We’ve prayed that your home would become a living epistle, known and read by all, reflecting Christ’s love in word and deed (2 Corinthians 3:2). And we’ve asked the Lord to sanctify you both by His truth, as Jesus prayed in John 17:17, so that you may be kept from the evil one while remaining in the world.

If the Lord has answered any part of this prayer—if hearts have softened, if repentance has been embraced, or if His peace has begun to reign in your marriage—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Please share how God is moving so that we may rejoice with you! If, however, the wait continues and the battle feels unchanging, do not lose heart. We would be honored to lift this request again, standing with you in persistent prayer until the Lord’s perfect will is revealed in His perfect timing.

May the Father continue to draw you both closer to Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. May His Word take root in your hearts, transforming your minds and renewing your spirits day by day. And may you both experience the fullness of His mercy, grace, and unfailing love as you seek Him together. We pray this in Jesus’ precious and powerful name.
