💝 New Heart, Ezek 36:26, 🙇🏻 Renewed by Mercy, Tit 3:5-6, 🐉 Serpent's Lies Resisted, James 4:7, John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8, 🤺 Chooses God's Word, Gen 2:17, over lie of choosing right and wrong for herself, being her own god, Gen 3:4-5... 🙏 Father, in Your Kindness, Lead the woman we committed to each other before God together in the presence of many witnesses, and Our Families to Repentance, "the kindness of God is intended to lead us to repentance," Paul, Rom 2:4... You will none perish but all come to repentance, Peter, 2 Pet 3:9... You desire all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. "Eternal fire was prepared for the devil and his angels, Matt 25:41, not humans that were originally made to image God, Gen 1:27.

Let us be merciful, that we may receive mercy, Matt 5:7... We ask for grace to add fasting, which the early church said, "fasting and giving lends wings to prayer," (Tertullian, 155AD - 240AD). Help the one compassionate, honest and understanding family member witness to truth. Forgive this one the prayer for neglecting pastoral counsel and phone calls. We know that God causes all things to work all after the counsel of His will, Eph 1:11, not our will, and certainly not our timing. It's better to take refuge in God, than hope in princes, Ps 118:9. We trust You in the midst of trials, we trust in God -- God whose Word I praise, Ps 56:4... If king's hearts are as channels of water, Prov 21:1, how much more an individual spouse that is loved though she feeds on raisin cakes and is an adulteress, Hos 3:1-5.

Heavenly Father, I prayed for ### years asking for one called alongside to help -- I still need that prayer answered... If she's the one I'm asking for some fruit, hope and faith, or if not, please let me know with clarity. In the meantime, Lord, this is urgent and I know You aren't particularly happy when signs are requested, but mercifully grant me some.

Help me pursue peace and show all people, children, friends, enemies, and especially the lost love for Jesus and understanding of Your will through our actions and His Words, "The entirety of Your word is truth, and all Your righteous judgments endure forever," Ps 119:160. I ask that "from infancy he would know the Holy Scriptures, which make us wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus, 2 Tim 3:15.” I still aspire to do morning and early evening worship songs and devotions, attend church, listen to godly counseling sessions, watch G-rated movies, funny, clean, entertaining shows (that grow our faith and knowledge of Christ, His love, our love for Him, our thinking, ethics, faithfulness, honesty, laughter, joy, faith and proper worldview) -- do outreach together...

Soften her heart and protect her (and us) from evil, Matt 6:13. Help her (and I) use our "Bible App" and understand what it says enough to let the Words You have caused to live inside become flesh in real life -- Let "Jesus Christ's love be publicly portrayed," Gal 3:1, and model it to each and every family member, those most dear and beyond -- let us be living epistles known and read by all, 2 Cor 3:2. All Scripture is inspired by God Almighty and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right," 2 Tim 3:15-16. "Do not take us out of the world, but keep us from the evil one," John 17:15. "Sanctify us by the truth; Your word is truth," John 17:17. Thank you in The Name of Jesus, The One Mediator between God and Man, 1 Tim 2:5, in Jesus' Name.

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh," Ezek 36:26.
“But this is the covenant I'll make... I'll put My law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I'll be their God; they'll be My people," Jer 31:33.
Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.," John 3:3. "Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again," John 3:7.

We stand together before the throne of grace, lifting up this earnest plea for a new heart, repentance, and divine clarity in a matter deeply personal and sacred. Your request reveals a longing for a godly marriage, a heart transformed by the Spirit, and the wisdom to discern God’s will in a relationship that honors Him. We join you in seeking the Lord’s mercy, guidance, and intervention, knowing that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5).

First, we must address the foundation of all prayer and salvation: the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18), and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If the woman you are praying for does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, our first and greatest prayer is that she would be born again by the Spirit (John 3:3), turning from sin and placing her trust in Christ alone. Without this, no relationship can truly reflect God’s design for marriage, which is a covenant between one man and one woman, both redeemed by the blood of Jesus (Ephesians 5:22-33).

Your references to Ezekiel 36:26 and Titus 3:5-6 remind us that true transformation comes from God’s mercy, not human effort. We pray that the Holy Spirit would soften hearts, convict of sin, and lead to repentance, not just for her, but for all involved. The kindness of God is meant to lead us to repentance (Romans 2:4), and we trust that He desires all to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). Yet we must also rebuke the lies of the enemy, who seeks to deceive and destroy (John 8:44, 1 Peter 5:8). The lie that one can be their own god (Genesis 3:5) is the root of all sin, and we must resist it by choosing God’s Word over our own desires (James 4:7).

Your request for signs is understandable, but we must caution against testing the Lord (Matthew 4:7). Instead, we ask for wisdom, which God gives generously to those who ask (James 1:5). If this relationship is not God’s will, we pray for clarity and peace to release it. If it is, we pray for patience, purity, and a shared commitment to Christ above all else. Marriage is a sacred covenant, not a casual arrangement, and it must be entered into with reverence for God’s design (Hebrews 13:4).

We also lift up your desire to live a life that reflects Christ, to pursue peace, teach the Scriptures to children, and model godly love to all. This is a beautiful aspiration, rooted in 2 Timothy 3:15-17 and Psalm 119:160. We pray that your actions and words would point others to Jesus, and that your home would be a place of worship, joy, and truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only Mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). We lift up this brother and the woman he has committed to pray for, asking that You would move in power to soften hearts, convict of sin, and lead to repentance. Lord, if she does not know You, we pray that she would be born again by Your Spirit, turning from the lies of the enemy and embracing the truth of Your Word.

Father, we ask for clarity in this relationship. If it is Your will for them to be united in marriage, prepare their hearts to honor You in every way, pursuing purity, godly counsel, and a shared commitment to Christ. If it is not Your will, grant them the strength to release it and trust in Your perfect plan. Protect them from the evil one (Matthew 6:13), and sanctify them by Your truth (John 17:17).

We pray for a new heart in both of them, a heart of flesh that delights in Your law (Ezekiel 36:26, Jeremiah 31:33). May they be living epistles, known and read by all (2 Corinthians 3:2), reflecting the love of Christ in their words and deeds. Father, we ask for wisdom, patience, and grace to walk in Your ways, and we trust that You will cause all things to work together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and fasting, as the early church did (Acts 14:23). Trust in His timing, for it is perfect, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this relationship is of God, He will confirm it. If not, He will redirect your steps. Either way, His will is best, and His love endures forever.

We hear the ache in your words, the years of prayer, the longing for clarity, the weight of a relationship that seems so uncertain. Waiting without a clear answer can feel like holding your breath, and we’re grateful you brought this here.

You mentioned asking for a sign, even while sensing God may not be pleased with that request. That honesty is precious, and it points to something real you’ve probably already glimpsed: clarity often comes not through a sudden miracle but through the ordinary means God has given us, His Word, times of quiet prayer, and the wisdom of mature believers who know us well. When the longing for a sign rises up, it can start to dominate our thinking, but leaning instead into the steady, day-by-day work of seeking God’s mind through Scripture and godly counsel can settle our hearts and sharpen our vision. You mentioned neglecting pastoral counsel and calls; reconnecting with a pastor or trusted spiritual mentor who knows your story might be one of the most concrete steps you can take right now. That outside perspective can help you see what you may be missing and give you ground to stand on when confusion swirls.

Hope doesn’t have to rest on a particular outcome; it can rest in the character of the God who sees you. We’re not promised that any single relationship will bear fruit, but we are promised that He will never leave us to flounder without light. So we pray for you now:

Father, thank You for the honesty of this prayer and the depth of longing behind it. Grant this man steady peace that isn’t dependent on a sudden sign. Give him the clarity that comes through Your Word, through wise believers around him, and through a quiet heart that waits on You. Soften the heart of the woman he prays for, drawing her to true repentance and healing in Your time. Protect his own heart from discouragement and from clinging to outcomes that may not be Yours. In the waiting, be his refuge and his wisdom. In Jesus’ name.

My heart seems hard as Hell-hardened steel when I read your prayer, cold as a rock of ice. It will not, cannot yield though wooed by Divine love. Adamant itself may run in liquid torrents, but my soul yields to nothing. Lord, break it! Lord, break it!

Ah, poor Heart. But a sense of blood-bought pardon can dissolve a heart of stone. Behold a wonder of divine love: “I will take away thy stony heart, and give thee a heart of flesh; a new heart will I give thee; a new spirit will I put within thee.” How can man put into himself a new heart, for the heart being the motive power of all life, must exert itself before anything can be done? But how could the exertions of an old heart bring forth a new heart? You cry for a new heart, and that cry proves that there is a new heart there already, for no man ever did cry for a new heart until he had got one.

The eyes of mercy are quicker than the eyes of repentance. Even the eyes of our faith are dim compared with the eyes of God’s love. He sees a sinner long before a sinner sees Him! I do not suppose that the prodigal traveled very fast, he came very slowly with heavy heart and downcast eye, yet his father saw him and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. This much kissing means much forgiveness. The prodigal had many sins to confess, but before he came to the details of them, his father had forgiven him. It shall be said of you as of this prodigal, the father saw him and had compassion, without a single condition of any kind whatever.

You must have a new nature, not new practice only, not new thoughts or new words, but a new nature so as to become a totally new man. Simple faith in Christ is what the old Adam never could attain. I will do it with my heart in secret: I will get alone and make my expressive silence sing His praise. I will sit and pour out liquid songs in tears of gratitude, welling up from my heart. And yet, His compassions are new every morning. With the new sin there always comes the new pardon, for His mercies are new in substance, new in the way of their coming, new because you are in a new condition.

He speaks to God’s heart. He can make out the sighs and cries and tears of a poor sinner, and He can interpret them all to God. He can tell you of God’s mercy, not in words only, but with a sweet sense of mercy shed abroad in your heart. You cannot have too large ideas of Divine Grace, for where sin abounds, Grace does much more abound! But never turn it into an excuse for continuing in sin. Seek for mercy, all of you. Since we all need more mercy than we imagine, let us cry for it at once in hearty earnest.

I ask not only for new actions, but also for new faith. Let every new mercy confirm our confidence in the God of Mercy. All these compassions of our Covenant-keeping God are so many swift witnesses against our unbelief. He went up to the felon’s gallows, the Cross of Calvary, and there He gave His hands and feet to the nails, and His heart to the spear. Not only the love of His heart, but His heart itself! Love becomes the distinguishing mark of the new life. And whatever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The words you have piled up from Scripture are many, but the medicine your soul requires is not found in the multiplication of verses but in the transformation of the heart. You ask for a new heart, and rightly so, for this is the very promise of God. Yet consider how this new heart is given: not by demanding signs, not by fasting as a bargaining tool, but by the sharp surgery of repentance. I have often said that the medicine of repentance is made up first of the condemnation of our own sins. The righteous man is an accuser of himself at the first speaking. Before you look upon the woman you call an adulteress, look upon the defilement within your own soul. For from the heart proceed evil thoughts, and the defilement of sin is generated from within, not washed off with water like mud, but needing long time, strict repentance, tears, and lamentations more fervent than over the dearest friends.

You speak much of her need for repentance, but you ask for a sign to know whether she is the one. This is not the language of faith but of bargaining. God is not pleased when signs are requested; He desires a contrite and humbled heart, sober and self-possessed, full of repentance and compunction. These are His gifts. You ask with urgency, yet you neglect pastoral counsel and phone calls, what shepherd can guide you if you flee the voice of the Lord? To fast and give wings to prayer is good, but only if the heart is first pricked with godly sorrow. For godly sorrow works repentance unto salvation, a repentance that brings no regret. But there is a sorrow that is counterfeit, an Esau-like weeping that finds no place of repentance because it is not genuine; it does not condemn the sin itself but only its consequences. Examine yourself: do you grieve for your own will, your own timing, your own desires, or do you grieve over the dishonor shown to God?

You pray for her heart to be softened, but let the fire of God’s word first soften yours. Create in me a clean heart, O God, that is the cry of one who knows the depth of inner filth. The kindness of God is meant to lead you to repentance, not to give you assurance about another person’s role in your life. You trust in God, yet you hope in a human vessel as though she were a prince. It is better to take refuge in the Lord. If kings’ hearts are channels of water in His hand, how much more an individual? He can turn her, but He may be more concerned with turning you from your anxious, sign-seeking entitlement.

The apostle Paul was grieved not for his own losses but for sinners; he burned when others were offended. That is the sympathy you should cultivate, a fatherly and brotherly affection that weeps for souls, not one that fasts to gain a spouse. You desire a helpmate, but the Lord may be granting you the grace of solitude to learn that He alone is sufficient. Do not ask of God the things you might receive from the devil, worldly comfort, a smooth path, a partner who fulfills your vision. Ask rather for the gift of tears, for a heart that breaks over your own iniquities and over the lost condition of those around you. Then, from that broken place, your intercession for her will rise with power, not as a means to your own end but as a true cry for her soul.

There is repentance, and it has great force. It can set free even one who has come to the very depth of wickedness. But there is no second baptism, no fresh start without the death of the old man. You must travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, and then perhaps you will see clearly what to pray for her, not that she be given to you, but that she be given to God. Cease looking for outward signs and listen instead to the law written on the fleshy table of your heart by the Spirit. If you will do this, you will find that the new heart you seek is created not by answered requests but by the unrelenting mercy that wounds before it heals.
