We join you in this deep burden and we lift up with you all those who are suffering abandonment, the loss of family, and the heartbreak of children lost before birth. Our hearts are moved by the pain of neighbors who have lost unborn babies, by families broken and scattered, by wives and husbands forsaken, by sons and daughters left alone, and by little ones who have no house or refuge or shelter. We bring all of this before the Lord together in Jesus name, knowing He sees every tear and hears every cry.

We agree with you that every unborn life is precious in the sight of God. Scripture tells us Psalm 139:13 For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb. and Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Children are not despised by God, even when they are despised or rejected by man, for Psalm 127:3 Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. We must speak clearly that to take innocent life in the womb is to shed innocent blood which God forbids, for Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. and Proverbs 6:16-17 tells us that hands that shed innocent blood are an abomination to Yahweh. Abortion is not merely a choice but the taking of a human life made in the image of God, and we rebuke that spirit of death and call it what it is. Yet we also know there is mercy and forgiveness for those who repent and turn to Christ, for 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. and Isaiah 1:18 Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.

We also lift up every person who knows abandonment and betrayal, who has lost a sister or brother, a friend or family, and who feels alone with no one to take them in. You quoted truly Psalm 27:10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. and Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. We cling to that promise with you. God has not forgotten the abandoned child, the forsaken spouse, or the lonely parent. He is Psalm 68:5 A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. and Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He is near to those whose families have been torn apart and whose generations seem cut off, for Psalm 34:18 Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

We pray together now for these things. Father in heaven, we come before You only through the name of Jesus Christ, for John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. and Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank You that You have made a way through Jesus to receive mercy. Lord, we entrust to Your care every innocent child who was aborted or miscarried or died unborn. We ask that in Your mercy You receive them, for Jesus said Matthew 19:14 Allow the little children to come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Comfort the mothers and fathers who mourn, bring conviction and repentance where there has been hardness of heart toward these little ones, and heal the deep wound in our neighborhoods and families where life has been despised. Lord, break the cycle of death and extermination and let life and hope for the next generation be restored. For those who are abandoned and betrayed, for wives without husbands, husbands without wives, children without parents, and all who wander without house or shelter or friend to refuge them, be their dwelling place. Provide for them tangible shelter, godly community, and a family of faith to take them in. Expose and drive back every disorder and bewitching influence and spiritual darkness that oppresses neighborhoods, for we know our struggle is not against flesh and blood and You have given us power to resist the enemy as we submit to You. Restore marriages to reflect Your covenant love, let courtship be pursued with purity toward holy marriage between a man and a woman, and let families be strengthened to honor You. We ask for Your mercy upon every abortive family and every grieving neighbor, that they may find rest and peace in You and one day rejoice in Your heavenly presence. We entrust all the suffering, the lonely, and the unborn to Your compassionate hands and pray for Your will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand in the gap with prayer and with practical love, to be a refuge where you can, to point the brokenhearted to the church as family, and to share the hope that no one is truly forsaken when they belong to Christ, for Hebrews 13:5 he has said, I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you. Keep bringing these burdens to Him, for He hears and He will answer according to His perfect mercy.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and your compassion for so many others. You are lifting neighbors, children without family, parents and spouses who feel abandoned, friends who have been betrayed, and little ones lost before birth, as well as families with no house or place of refuge. To hold all of that before the Lord is a tender and faithful thing to do.

Grief touches each person differently, and loss comes in many forms, not only through death but through abandonment, broken relationships, and the absence of a safe home. It makes sense that this would feel overwhelming when you see it all around you and have few earthly supports to point people toward.

When the burden feels so wide, it can help to stay close to what is most present and personal. If there are specific neighbors or families near you without shelter or support, one steady next step could be to connect with a trusted pastor or a local church mercy ministry who knows the shelters and resources in your area, so your prayers can be joined with practical care where possible.

Father, we bring to You every child entrusted to Your care, every person who feels forsaken or alone, and every family longing for shelter and belonging. Show Your mercy and nearness, give comfort to those who mourn, and guide us to love our neighbors well. Lead those without refuge to safe help and surround them with Your kindness. In Jesus' name, amen.

The sorrow you have laid before the Lord is very great, and your prayer carries the cry of many who feel forsaken, abandoned and alone. There are those who have lost father and mother, husband and wife, son and daughter, brother and sister and friend, and who have no house and no refuge to shelter them. There are children left without care, and little ones unborn who are despised and rejected even before they have drawn breath. Such afflictions have indeed come upon many from their youth, and the heart breaks under the weight of them.

Yet the Word of the Lord gives a sure comfort for such grief. Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, as Psalm 27 declares. And the Lord Himself asks, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne. Though she may forget, yet will I not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands. This is not a love of yesterday that flames for a moment and then goes out in darkness, but an eternal love, a suffering love that bears the wounds received for us. He cannot forget His own. When you fear that you are forsaken and forgotten, hear Him say from His own mouth that you are remembered beyond all question.

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds. Your bleeding spirit cries for consolation, and there is a Physician who can give joy to the troubled countenance, wipe the tear from the eye, and calm the heart now swelling with grief. For those without shelter, for the child abandoned in the street, for the neighbor in disorder and the family betrayed, He is a refuge. The mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but the covenant of His love shall not depart from them that trust Him. He has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Concerning the unborn, we must speak plainly and tenderly. Every child, formed in the womb, is made in the image of God and is precious in His sight. To despise or to destroy that life is a grave sin before the holy God, and calls for repentance. Yet there is full forgiveness for those who confess their sin honestly before the Most High, for the blood of Jesus Christ, God's dear Son, cleanses us from all sin. We do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, but we do plead His mercy. We entrust those innocent little ones, taken by abortion or lost before birth, to His sovereign care, asking Him in His compassion to receive them, and we pray for mothers and fathers under great temptation or hardness of heart, that they may turn to Christ and find pardon and new life. He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we confess them and look to Jesus alone for salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

And we pray for families, that the Lord would have mercy upon generations that are cut off and upon homes that are desolate. His design from the beginning is that marriage should be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that children should be welcomed and cherished within that holy bond. Where that design has been forsaken, where impurity and unfaithfulness and abandonment have brought ruin, we pray that God would bring repentance, healing and restoration according to His Word, and that He would preserve life and raise up a godly seed.

Let us pray together. O Lord God of mercy, look upon all who suffer abandonment and upon every forsaken child and every homeless soul. Be their shelter and their refuge. Heal the broken in heart and bind up their wounds. Receive those whom father and mother have forsaken. Remember the unborn and have mercy upon those who have sinned against them, bringing them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, whose wounds plead for us upon the palms of Your hands. Let Your Word be their comfort, for if Your promises cannot comfort, no speech of man can. Grant that they may confess their sin and find forgiveness, and that families may be restored in holiness and peace. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, who died and rose again that we might live. Amen.
