Neighbor’s unborn babies dies / all dies abortive ancient extermination family members extermination poor end

Your prayer carries a weight of deep sorrow and it is right to bring it before the Lord. You are interceding for those who feel abandoned by family, for husbands and wives and sons and daughters left alone, for children with no home or refuge, for neighborhoods marked by disorder and betrayal, and for unborn children who are not welcomed or loved. The grief in these losses is great and it can feel like peace has been taken far away and hope is forgotten.

Scripture tells us that even when grief comes, God has compassion according to the abundance of His mercies. He does not willingly bring affliction or cause sorrow to people. His compassion and mercy are at the heart of who He is. It is only when people turn away from His love and mercy that they remain under His judgment, but for those who turn to Him there is mercy and forgiveness.

Jesus understands this grief intimately. He is described as a man of sorrows who is familiar with grief, and when He saw parents mourning a child He was moved with compassion for them. In that moment of hopelessness when all seemed lost, His word to the grieving father was not to fear but to believe. He still offers that same ray of hope today, not because death is not real and painful, but because He has power over it and compassion for those who mourn.

When grief is this heavy it can feel heavier than sand, and words fail. Like friends who saw that another's suffering was so great they could only sit in silence, there are times when there are no easy answers. You may find yourself replaying the past and asking what could have been done differently, tormenting yourself with what if. God knows that turmoil. He also can use even painful seasons to shape character and to draw us closer to Himself, though the pain itself is real and not to be minimized.

God places great value on life in the womb. Scripture shows a child in the womb responding to the presence of the Lord, reminding us that each unborn life is known and precious to Him. To take that life is a serious sin before God, and our culture has cheapened life by treating the unborn as disposable. At the same time, many who have been part of an abortion carry deep guilt and a troubled conscience. The good news is that pardon and forgiveness are available through Jesus Christ alone, who gave Himself as an offering for sin because of God's love for us. No one needs to remain in condemnation when forgiveness is offered freely to all who receive Him.

You quoted two promises that speak directly to abandonment. Though father and mother may forsake us, the Lord will receive us, as Psalm 27 says. And even if a mother could forget the child at her breast and have no compassion, the Lord says He will not forget His own, as Isaiah 49 says. He does not forget the abandoned wife or husband, the lonely child, the person without shelter, or the unborn child despised by parents. We can entrust those innocent children, including those lost through abortion or miscarriage, to His care, asking Him in His mercy to receive them into heaven. For their sake we can trust His compassion, and for the sake of grieving parents and families we can ask Him to bring comfort.

So we pray together now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask for Your mercy on every person suffering abandonment and loss, on every family that feels cut off with no future, on every child without a home or refuge, and on every unborn child. Receive those whom others have forsaken. Comfort those who mourn and give them faith to not fear but to believe. Bring shelter to the homeless, friendship to the lonely, and peace to troubled neighborhoods. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus and heal guilty consciences by Your grace. Show Your compassion according to Your many mercies and let those who feel far from peace find rest in You. Amen.
