Psalm 27:10Though my father and mother forsake (abandoned) me, the Lord/God will receive

Isaiah 49:15Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne

We join you in this heavy burden and we lift up this deep grief before the Lord together in Jesus name. We hear your heart for the unborn, for the abandoned, for families broken and generations cut off, and for those who have no house, no family, no friend to be a refuge. The Lord sees and He does not turn away from such suffering.

We affirm what Scripture declares about the sanctity of life. Every child, even in the womb, is known and formed by God. Psalm 139:13 says For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. Jeremiah 1:5 says Before I formed you in the belly, I knew you. Before you came out of the womb, I sanctified you. To take that innocent life through abortion is to violate God's command Exodus 20:13 You shall not murder. We must speak the truth in love that abortion is the shedding of innocent blood and it brings grief to God and wounds to families and to generations, yet we also proclaim that there is mercy and forgiveness for those who repent and turn to Christ. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. There is no sin beyond the reach of the blood of Jesus for those who come to Him in true repentance.

We also weep with you for all who suffer abandonment, whether a wife abandoned by her husband, a husband by his wife, a daughter or son forsaken, children left alone, brothers and sisters betrayed by friends, and those who wander as beggars seeking shelter. This brokenness is not God's design. God created family and marriage to be a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, a place of safety and love that reflects His faithfulness. When that is torn apart, the pain is real, but God remains the faithful Father and refuge.

You quoted precious promises and we cling to them with you. Psalm 27:10 says When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up. Isaiah 49:15 says Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Even when earthly parents and loved ones fail or despise, the Lord does not forget. He gathers the abandoned and the helpless into His arms. Psalm 34:18 says Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Matthew 19:14 says Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me, and don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. We trust that those unborn babies who die, whether by miscarriage or by the terrible sin of abortion, are entrusted to God's mercy and care, and that He receives them.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to Your throne. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We thank You that You sent Jesus to die for our sins and to rise again that we might have forgiveness and eternal life. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Lord, we lift up every unborn child who has been despised, hated, or destroyed, including our neighbor's unborn babies who have died. Have mercy, Lord, and receive these little ones into Your presence. Comfort those mothers and fathers who mourn, and bring deep conviction and repentance to those who have chosen abortion, that they may find Your forgiveness and healing.

We pray for every person suffering abandonment and betrayal, for wives and husbands forsaken, for daughters and sons left alone, for children abandoned everywhere, for friends who have been betrayed, for families being exterminated without a next generation, for those without a house or shelter, for those in neighborhoods filled with disorder. Be their refuge and shelter, Lord. You are our refuge and strength. Provide homes, godly families, and faithful friends to support them. Heal the ancient wounds in families and break the cycle of rejection and death.

We ask that You would restore marriage and family as You designed it, that courtship would be honored with purity before marriage and faithfulness within marriage, and that every home would turn to You. Bring peace that passes understanding to those who rest their hope in heaven, and let all who are suffering know that You will never leave them nor forsake them. Deuteronomy 31:6 says Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid, nor be scared of them; for Yahweh your God, he is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.

We entrust all these innocent children and all the brokenhearted into Your merciful hands, asking for Your will to be done, for Your kingdom to come, and for Your comfort to cover this land. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, amen.

Thank you for bringing so many hurting people before the Lord in this prayer. We hear your burden for neighbors who have lost little ones, for families fractured by abandonment, for children and adults who have no home or refuge, and for unborn children who were not welcomed. It is a heavy, tender load to carry.

What you describe touches deep places of grief and loneliness. When a family line feels cut off or a child is lost before birth, the sorrow can linger in quiet ways, and when people are left without shelter or support the sense of being forgotten grows. Each person experiences that loss differently, and there is no single timeline for how grief moves. Being willing to name these losses before God, as you have, is itself an act of love.

If you are walking closely with any of those neighbors or families, continuing to be a steady, kind presence matters. And if this burden is weighing on your own heart, we encourage you to share it face to face with a trusted pastor or a mature believer in your local church so you are not carrying it alone. We are joining you in prayer.

Father, we lift to You every child lost before birth and every person who feels abandoned or without refuge. Show Your mercy and care, bring comfort to those who mourn, provide shelter and faithful community where there is need, and give wisdom to all who seek to help. We entrust each life to Your hands. In Jesus' name, amen.

Father please heal abandonment and rejection. Please do it for them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen

Your burdened prayer has been heard, and it lays before the Lord a sorrow that is both wide and deep, the wound of abandonment and the grief over little ones who never drew breath in this world. There is a cry in it for the forsaken wife and husband, for the daughter and the son left alone, for children without shelter, for neighbors without refuge, and for unborn babies despised and cast away. Such multiplied cares where disappointment and defeat have crushed the spirits are not hidden from Him who sees in secret.

You have well set forth the word of promise, Though my father and my mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me, and again, Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne. Though she may forget, yet will not the Lord forget. When earthly bonds are broken and the family is scattered, when there is no house, no friend, no refuge to support, the Lord Himself becomes the refuge. He, if thou art one of His family, with bands of grace will bind up thy wounds, and heal thy broken heart. He hears the sad complaints and spies His image in weeping eyes.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things, as it were, about Christ, are full of healing virtue. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before. And healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction and both bestowed on the Lord's people. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy, He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. Pardon and healing were one. So we look to Calvary, for there is the place for the healing balm. There was a contact established when He took her by the hand and lifted her up, and there is healing in that glorious doctrine of His incarnation, that He became flesh to bear our griefs.

We join you in entrusting to the mercy of God those innocent children, aborted or miscarried, asking the Lord in His sovereign compassion to receive them according to His perfect will and to grant them rest in His presence. We pray also for mercy for those who have taken life and for all who have despised the gift of life, that they may find not excuse but pardon through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. May the Lord grant repentance and faith, that forgiveness may come and healing with it, for the Lord has begun to heal us and the healing virtue which His grace has infused will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle.

We pray for the families you name, for generations wounded by this ancient extermination, that the Lord would stay the destroying hand and bring forth life where death has reigned. We pray for the abandoned ones everywhere, for shelter for the shelterless, for a home for the homeless, for friends to the friendless, and for order and peace in neighborhoods given to disorder. We pray for those who suffer the spirit of abandonment, that they may know the Sun of Righteousness risen upon them with healing in His wings, and that they may prove that when the Lord comes and dwells with His people, they have no need to say they are sick, for He heals and pardons.

May the Lord, who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds, be your refuge and the refuge of all who mourn. May He turn hearts to honor life as He has ordained it, to honor marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and to keep the bed undefiled as belonging within it, and may He build again the families that have been torn down. We ask all this not because we are worthy, but because Christ is worthy, and His leaves are for healing. Amen.
