We join with you in this prayer and stand in agreement with you before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is power in His name to overcome all the works of the enemy.

We thank God for your faith in declaring the victory of Jesus over Satan and his schemes. Scripture assures us of this truth, that the Son of God was revealed for this purpose, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. We are reminded that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, yet Christ has already triumphed over them, having stripped the principalities and the powers, making a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it Colossians 2:15.

We rejoice that you have called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have authority and access to the Father. As it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Your prayer in Jesus' name is powerful and effective because He alone has conquered sin, death, and the devil.

We also want to encourage you in how God calls us to walk in that victory day by day. While Jesus has decisively defeated Satan at the cross and will ultimately bind him completely, as John saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, the old serpent, which is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years Revelation 20:1-2, we are now called to actively resist the enemy by submitting to God. Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. We put on the whole armor of God, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, and we overcome him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of our testimony Revelation 12:11.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We thank You that Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth and that He has given us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy Luke 10:19. In Jesus' name we ask that You completely halt and render powerless every work, plan, scheme, and influence of Satan and the devil against our dear one, whether direct, indirect, or through any connection whatsoever. Let every mouth of the accuser be silenced, for we know the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down Revelation 12:10.

Lord, we ask that by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, You would cleanse and remove every effect of the enemy's work from the past, and guard and protect this life in the present and into the future. Let no weapon that is formed against him prosper Isaiah 54:17. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, with peace, and with assurance that You who began a good work will perfect it. Help him to walk in holiness, in the Word, and in prayer, taking up the shield of faith with which to extinguish all the fiery darts of the evil one Ephesians 6:16. Cause him to be sober and watchful, but not fearful, knowing that his adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, and to withstand him steadfast in the faith 1 Peter 5:8-9.

Father, we pray that You would make Your presence so real to him that he knows he is more than a conqueror through Him who loved us Romans 8:37, and that the God of peace will quickly crush Satan under his feet Romans 16:20. Let him rest in the finished work of Christ and live in freedom, not in torment. We ask all of this in the victorious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Deliverer, amen.

We have read your prayer and we hear the urgency in it. You want Jesus to have the final word over every influence of the enemy, past and future, and to know you are secure in Him. That longing for His complete protection is understandable, and we are glad you are bringing it directly to Him.

We want to walk steady with you in this. Victory in Christ is sure, and learning to rest in it is often more like training than a single moment. Small, faithful ways of staying close to Him over time help quiet fear and keep our focus on Him rather than on the enemy.

One simple next step that helps many is not to carry this alone. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, consider asking them to pray with you in person and to walk with you regularly. Meeting together, praying together, and staying rooted in community can be a steady anchor when thoughts about spiritual attack feel heavy.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift our friend to You. We thank You that Jesus has overcome the evil one. We ask You to guard their mind and heart with Your peace, to remove what is not of You, and to fill every place with Your presence and truth. Lead them day by day and help them know they are held by You. Amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your prayer has risen up as a cry for that great deliverance which God alone can work, and it is good that you have turned to the Lord Jesus Christ, for in Him is our only hope against the adversary.

There is a word of grace that meets your case, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit: I have found a ransom." Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does He acts from good reasons, and He has invented a way of deliverance which none but Himself would have thought of, that a sinner should be saved from the pit of hell through a ransom. That ransom is the gift of Divine Love, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all our iniquities. You are not saved by your own binding of Satan, but by Him who has borne the sword and kept back the soul from the pit. Look to Him, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

Scripture says, "He has delivered us from the power of darkness." What a mercy this is, that poor creatures such as we are should escape from that master spirit, Satan, the destroyer, the prince of the power of the air. Not Sisera, but Satan has been overthrown: the seed of the woman has bruised his head forever. We are now ransomed from the galling yoke and walk at liberty through the power of the great Liberator, the Lord Jesus Christ. This is no small escape, like escaping from Giant Despair, but an escape from Satan himself, and it shall be sung in heaven.

Yet take comfort and take warning together. Satan is subtle and full of malice. He considers the saints, he reckons us up and marks where we are most easily beset, whether by lust or pride or sloth or quick temper, and he shoots his fiery darts, whispering that God has forsaken you and that His mercy is clean gone forever. When sin begins to lose its sweetness and the heart grows weary of his fascinations, Satan rages because his time is short, and he will shoot the last arrow from his quiver before he departs for a season, as he did from our Lord when he had ended all the temptation. He may use many instruments and many second causes, but troubles do not spring out of the dust, the Lord Himself kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door, and that which comes from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand.

Therefore I will pray with you and for you as you have asked.

O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou great Deliverer, put an end to the works of the devil in this soul, silence the mouth of the accuser, and halt every plan of the destroyer. By Thy precious blood, which is the ransom Thou hast found, deliver from going down to the pit. By Thy power which delivered us from the power of darkness, bind the strong man and render him unable to carry out his work against this one whom Thou hast purchased. Put a stop to all his actions, whether direct or indirect or by any connection or influence whatsoever, and wash away all the stain and fruit of his work from the past, and keep this soul in the present and in all time to come. Let Satan find no chamber to dwell in and no forge to work with, but let Christ reign there. Grant grace to see affliction, when Thou dost permit it, as chastening from Thy hand for profit, and grant faith to overcome every fiery dart.

May you be kept, and may you live and declare the works of the Lord, saved from yourself, saved from your old sins, saved from the devil, because God has given commandment to save you. Trust not in your own power to bind the adversary, but in Him who saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven and who will not lose His sheep even at its last extremity. Abide in Christ, watch and pray, and give Him all the glory for your deliverance, in Jesus name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in asking the Lord Jesus Christ to guard you and to show His power over every work of the enemy.

Scripture teaches that Christ has already defeated the devil through His cross and resurrection, and that He will bring that victory to its final completion when He comes again. Even now the enemy is not free to do as he wishes, but is restrained by God and can only go so far as God permits. As Paul learned when Satan hindered him, God remains sovereign and turns even hindrances to serve His good purpose for those who love Him. Our hope therefore is not in our own strength or wisdom, but in Christ alone, who delivers us from evil and brings us into adoption as sons of God through His grace.

So we pray with you that the Lord would silence every lying and accusing voice, frustrate every plan of the evil one whether direct or indirect, and cleanse you from every influence of his work in the past and keep you in the future. We ask that Christ would make you watchful and humble, strong in faith, nourished by His word, prayer, and the fellowship of His church. The way we resist the devil is not by curiosity about him, but by drawing near to Christ, fleeing from sin, living soberly and purely, and giving glory to God for all good.

We pray now, Father in heaven, in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ, cover this Your servant with the blood of Christ, let no weapon formed against him prosper, bind the power of the devil and render his schemes powerless, fill this heart with peace, holiness and confidence in Your keeping, and teach him to walk daily in obedience and trust. Keep him from all evil and establish him in Your love until the day of Christ, when every work of darkness will be ended forever. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask this, amen.
