Chrysostom
Beloved of All
I join you in bringing this request before the Lord, for it is right to look to Jesus Christ alone for victory over the enemy. Scripture teaches us to be angry against the devil himself and to ask God to bruise Satan under our feet, and to resist him by faith in Christ while walking in gentleness and holiness.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your deliverance and protection. We ask that by the power of the cross and the resurrection, You would bring to nothing every work of the devil and Satan, silence every accusation and deception, and halt every plan formed against Your child, whether direct or indirect or by any influence. We ask that You bind the power of the evil one so that he cannot carry out his work, and that You remove and cleanse every effect of his work from the past and guard the future by Your grace. Fill this life with the presence of Christ, with faith, repentance, and obedience, so that there is no place given to the enemy. Keep this soul steadfast in Christ, clothed in Your armor, walking in truth and meekness, and trusting in Jesus alone for salvation and victory. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
