Our Father, we offer "petitions, PRAYERS, intercessions and thanksgivings," for ALL in AUTHORITY (Whether we LIKE them or NOT does not Exempt us from our DUTY), Save and PROTECT The President, His Family, Cabinet, Service Members, Our Senators, Representatives, SCOTUS Justices & Generals, Our PASTORS, Spiritual Leaders Here and Worldwide, and all Presidents, Prime Ministers, Governors, Kings, Parliaments, Congress Members -- "ALL in authority, that we might lead a quiet life in all godliness and dignity, knowing this pleases You, our Savior, who desire ALL to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth," 1 Tim 2:1-4.

We ask for the fostering of godly alliances between free countries, for wisdom, humility (what to say and how to say it, Jn 12:49), and promotion of and strengthening of godly international alliances. We pray for the diminished influence of evil alignments, the eradication of false prophecy, teaching and persecution, and ultimately for the furtherance of free speech, press and publication, digital, written and spoken, that the Gospel of Jesus, the True Messiah, His Kingdom and all He commanded might lead to repentance and making disciples of nations throughout the world, Matt 28:18-20. We thank You and pray for the leaders who endeavor to be honest and have the agenda of Your Worldview, 1 Thes 5:17-18.

We also thank You for those leaders You have allowed to be in power, Rom 13:1, and ask they be as channels of water in the hand of the Lord, Prov 21:1, knowing You sit in the heavens, and do whatever You please, Ps 115:3. We confess You are working all things after the counsel of Your will, Eph 1:11, thwart the plans of the wicked, Ps 33:10-11, work everything together for good to those who love You and according to Your purpose are CALLED, Rom 8:28. We submit to You, James 4:7, to government, Rom 13, to those who will have to give account for us in the Body of Christ, Heb 13:17, put on Your Armor, Eph 6:10-20, asking for loving-kindness, truth and angelic protection for us, for them, protecting them and ourselves from the serpent and his fallen angels, Dan 10:12-13, Ps 91:10-11, Heb 1:14. Thank You that Christ, who is in us, is greater than he that is in the world, 1 Jn 4:4, and for hearing these requests, Mark 11:24, with thanksgiving we offer these requests -- let the peace of God guard our hearts and minds, Phil 4:6-7, in Christ Jesus' Name...

We come before the throne of grace with hearts burdened for the leaders of our nation and the world, both in the church and in civic authority. Your Word instructs us clearly in 1 Timothy 2:1-4, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to the full knowledge of the truth." We take this command seriously, lifting up those in authority, not because they are perfect, but because their decisions impact the lives of many, and because it pleases You, Lord, who desires all to come to repentance and salvation.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for our leaders. Grant them humility to seek Your face and the courage to stand for righteousness, even when it is unpopular. May they be like the men of Issachar, who "had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do" (1 Chronicles 12:32). We ask that You raise up godly counsel around them, men and women who fear You and speak truth with boldness. Expose the schemes of the enemy, as You did for Elisha when the king of Syria sought to harm him (2 Kings 6:8-12). Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let Your angels encamp around them for protection (Psalm 91:10-11).

We pray for the salvation of those in authority who do not yet know You. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. As Romans 10:1 declares, "Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved." Let this be our heart’s cry for all leaders, whether they govern in the halls of power or shepherd Your flock. May they come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We also lift up the nations, asking for Your hand of protection over the land and its people. As Daniel 11:41 speaks of the "glorious land," we pray for the preservation of freedom, justice, and godly values in our nation and across the world. Thwart the plans of those who seek to undermine Your truth or persecute Your people. Let Your Word go forth with power, unhindered by censorship or oppression, so that the Gospel may reach every corner of the earth (Matthew 28:19-20).

Father, we recognize that all authority comes from You (Romans 13:1), and we submit to Your sovereign will. Even when leaders act in ways that grieve us, we trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). We ask that You would turn the hearts of kings wherever You will (Proverbs 21:1) and use even the most unlikely vessels for Your glory. Raise up leaders who will champion righteousness, defend the innocent, and govern with integrity.

We put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-20), standing firm against the spiritual forces of darkness that seek to divide and destroy. We rebuke every spirit of deception, confusion, and fear that would seek to influence our leaders or Your people. Let Your truth prevail, and let Your light expose every hidden agenda of the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against Your purposes shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we take refuge in the shadow of Your wings (Psalm 91:4).

Lord, we thank You for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and ask that You would guard our hearts and minds with Your peace as we wait on You (Philippians 4:6-7). May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for He alone is worthy, and by His name alone do we have access to You. Amen.

There’s something quietly powerful about coming before God with such a sweeping list, leaders, governments, military, churches, and the land itself. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed by what we see in the world or grow weary of praying for people we disagree with. But when we take these burdens to the Lord, we’re not just checking a box; we’re standing in the gap the way 1 Timothy 2 urges, trusting that God is sovereign over every throne and parliament. We join you in that trust.

One thing that helps us keep this kind of prayer fresh is to break it into bite‑sized pieces throughout the week. You might focus on a different sphere each day, Monday for local councils, Tuesday for national governors, Wednesday for international alliances, and ask specifically for wisdom, moral courage, and the protection of those who serve. Naming people or nations by name, even those we struggle with, can turn a general prayer into a personal act of love. And praying with others, even just one other person, can strengthen your own heart and remind you that you’re part of a much larger chorus lifting these same needs.

We’re grateful you’re investing this time in prayer for those who bear such weight. It matters more than we can see.

Lord Jesus, you hold every ruler and every land in your hands. Grant wisdom to those who lead, protection to those who serve, and salvation to as many as will turn to you. The lifting up of such a prayer, laden with Scripture, for all in authority and for the peace of the land, is an exercise most pleasing to the Lord. He hears the intercession of His people, and when they plead His own promises, He cannot deny Himself. Remember, the prayer of the righteous availeth much, and in this duty you stand in a noble line of saints who have laid hold of the throne of grace for nations and kings. It is the mark of a lively church when she stretches out her hands, not for herself alone, but for the great and mighty ones, that they might know the God of salvation and govern in righteousness.

Press on, then, in this blessed work. Pray without ceasing for the President, for all rulers, for spiritual shepherds, and for the common people. But see to it that your own heart rests wholly upon the finished work of Christ. You speak of salvation for all men; know indeed that God our Savior desires none to perish but all to come to repentance, yet the Scripture makes it plain that none are saved apart from the knowledge of the truth as it is in Jesus. Hold fast that form of sound words which declares salvation to be entirely of grace, not of works, lest any man should boast. It is a free gift, and the vilest sinner, the worst of the worst, may have it for the asking. Pray for their illumination, for only the Spirit of God can open blind eyes to see the beauty of Christ, and build a strong confidence in the Lord.

Let your intercessions be mingled with thanksgiving, for you have much cause. The very desire to pray for others is a gift from above, and every mercy already seen in our leaders, in our land, and in the church is a reason for gratitude. Go to the mercy seat with boldness, yet with godly fear. The Lord sits in the heavens, He does whatsoever He pleases; the king’s heart is in His hand, and He turneth it as the rivers of water. Trust Him to thwart the designs of the wicked and to give His people a quiet resting-place. And when you pray, believe that you receive, knowing that in Christ all the promises are yea and amen. The peace of God shall garrison your heart and mind as you cast every care upon Him who careth for you. Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving, and the God of peace shall be with you.

You do well to ground your urgent plea in the apostolic command, for what is more necessary than that we should offer such petitions? The request you have set forth is not merely a suggestion but a binding duty laid upon us, a sacred ministry that belongs to every Christian soul. I see in your words a heart aflame with the very thing the Apostle sought to kindle. For he says, "first of all," indicating that before all other things, this is the primary work of the assembly, the daily sacrifice of prayer that is offered in both evening and morning for the whole world.

Consider why this is established as our foremost duty. The priest, and indeed every believer who shares in the priesthood of Christ, is called to be a common father to all the world, imitating the God whom he serves. For what father, even when struck in the face by the little child he carries, does not continue to cherish that child? So it must be with us toward all who are without, even those who may persecute or oppose us. This is how hatred is dissolved. It is impossible for a man to feel enmity toward another for whom he sincerely prays. And as our prayers ascend, a double grace returns: our hearts are freed from bitterness, and their ferocious disposition toward us is often softened, making them ready to receive teaching. Nothing so draws men as to love and to be loved.

You mention the duty to pray for kings and all in authority. Do not let your soul be slow to offer prayers because a ruler does not yet worship God. The Apostle knew this well; he wrote in a time of ungodly princes, yet he commanded prayers for them precisely so that we might lead a quiet and peaceable life. Their safety is a security for us. God has appointed government for the public good, and when they stand on guard for our tranquility, is it not wholly reasonable that we should lift up holy hands on their behalf? We are not flattering them; we are obeying God, who wills to grant us stability for the work of the Gospel.

Yet, let your prayer ascend higher still, toward the very throne of God's desire. For He "willeth that all men should be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth." Do not let your mind be fixed merely on the peace of the earthly and beautiful land, as glorious as it is. Let your grief be rightly ordered. We grieve not simply for the dying, but for sinners, whether living or dead, because they are far from the King and are the proper subjects of tears. The true calamity is to live at enmity with God, for such a one, though he appears alive, is truly dead. Therefore, when you ask for the land's protection and for wise leaders, the ultimate end must be this: that every soul within it might hear the truth, escape the snare of the devil, and be brought face to face with God in Christ. All earthly tranquility is a servant to this heavenly purpose.

Do not be overly troubled by the cunning of the wicked, or by secret whispers plotted in dark rooms. The wisdom of this world, which seems so clever in its own arts, is shown to be utter folly when God confounds it. Where is the use of a wisdom that terminates here and cannot profit its possessors in the life to come? The Lord sits in the heavens and does whatever He pleases; He turns the hearts of kings like channels of water. Your prayer for angelic protection and for the exposure of hidden schemes is good, but rest your confidence not on the foresight of even a cleansed Elisha, but on this: your High Priest ever lives. He has no successor, for death is no longer master over Him. Therefore He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him. He does not make intercession once, but continually, for every need, for every danger, for every soul. Here is your immovable anchor. The hidden wisdom of God, which was foreordained before the ages for our glory, has swallowed up all the craft of men.

Go forth, then, and fulfill this ministry of prayer with earnestness. Give thanks not only for your own blessings but for the good that befalls others, even your enemies. Offer supplications for the worst of sinners, for our Savior is mighty to save them. Bless the best by praying they may stand firm. And for all leaders, whether they are channels of blessing or unwitting instruments in God's hand, pray without ceasing, for this is good and pleasing in the sight of God our Savior. Let this sacred work bind you to all humanity, that in the tranquility secured by your prayers, you and all people may live in all godliness and dignity, hastening toward that Day when we shall no longer see in a mirror darkly, but face to face.

You feel the weight of it, don’t you. The vast need across nations, the layered authorities, the troubled and beautiful land. That longing to see leaders walk in wisdom, to see people protected, to see salvation spread, it rises from a heart that has grasped something true about God’s own heart. He desires all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth, and He invites us into that desire through prayer. When you bring before Him presidents and pastors, military commanders and cabinet members, you are standing right where Scripture placed you. Pray for those in authority, that we may lead peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and dignity. It is not a suggestion to weigh against whether we like them. It is a duty bound up with our own well-being, because in the peace of the city we dwell in, we will have peace.

There is a deep recognition in your words that God is the giver of the land and the one who sustains it. The land is a place His eyes are always upon, a land He cares for. When we pray for its protection and for the peace of its people worldwide, we are touching something He already watches over with fierce attention. This is not like asking a distant ruler to take notice. It is like speaking with the farmer who already walks his fields every morning, checking the soil and the crops and the fences. And He knows the schemes that are whispered in bedrooms and boardrooms, just as He once revealed an enemy king’s private words to His prophet. No electronic device needed. He is creative enough to expose what is hidden and to illuminate the way forward, and He often does it in response to the faithful prayers of His people.

You asked for godly alliances to be fostered and for the influence of evil alignments to shrink. That prayer remembers something vital: we were once commanded, when entering a land, to make no covenant with its inhabitants but to drive them out. The spiritual reality beneath civil authority remains. We are not to settle comfortably alongside falsehood or cruelty, but to see it displaced by the advance of the kingdom of Christ. Yet the means now, under this covenant of grace, is not the sword but the gospel going forth in freedom and the intercession of the saints. So you pray rightly for free speech and publication, that the truth about Jesus the true Messiah might run unhindered and that nations might be discipled. That is exactly the kind of harvest that pleases God.

And you have anchored your hope where it must be anchored. The leaders we have are not accidents. Every authority exists as established by God, and even the strongest ruler is like a channel of water in the Lord’s hand, turned wherever He wills. He sits in the heavens and does whatever He pleases, working all things after the counsel of His own will. This is our rest when we see power misused or when the news stirs alarm. It does not make us passive, but it sets our prayers on a solid foundation. We are not begging a reluctant God to pay attention. We are coming into agreement with what He has already pledged to do through the reign of His Son.

In all this, remember the ultimate intercessor who stands for us. We have a High Priest who is set at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, ever living to make intercession. Your requests for leaders and lands and law enforcement are carried into the presence of God on the shoulders of Jesus Himself. He knows how to pray perfectly for the president’s salvation, for the soldier’s protection, for the pastor’s wisdom, for the judge’s integrity. Even when the news paints a picture of famine, whether moral famine, economic famine, or security famine, there is bread in the house of God. When the world cries out in fear, our King says, “Go to Jesus. What He says to you, do.”

So bring the firstfruits of your attention and affection to Him, acknowledging that every good thing in the land comes from His hand. Continue to ask for angelic protection and for the exposure of dark plans. Confess that the One in you is greater than the one in the world. And then let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, stand guard over your heart and your mind. The Lord God omnipotent reigns. That is not just a closing phrase from Revelation. It is the present reality. You are praying in alignment with it.
