more quality time with Jesus Christ

We rejoice in your desire to draw nearer to the Lord Jesus Christ, for He alone is the source of true life, peace, and wisdom. Your heart’s cry to spend more quality time with Him is precious in His sight, and we stand with you in this pursuit, knowing that intimacy with Christ is the foundation of a godly life.

The Scriptures remind us in James 4:8, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." This is a beautiful promise, when we seek Him with a sincere heart, He meets us where we are. Yet we must also recognize that this requires intentionality, discipline, and a willingness to lay aside distractions. In our fast-paced world, it is all too easy to let busyness, entertainment, or even good things crowd out the best thing, time alone with our Savior. Jesus Himself modeled this priority when He withdrew to solitary places to pray (Luke 5:16). If the Son of God needed such communion with the Father, how much more do we?

We also encourage you to examine what "quality time" truly means. It is not merely the quantity of minutes spent but the posture of the heart. Are you coming before Him with humility, ready to listen, obey, and surrender? Are you feasting on His Word, allowing it to shape your thoughts and desires? The psalmist declares, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). Without the Word, our time with God can become shallow or even self-centered. Let us also remember that prayer is not a monologue but a dialogue, speak to Him, yes, but also be still and know that He is God (Psalm 46:10).

We must also rebuke any lies from the enemy that suggest this pursuit is burdensome or legalistic. The devil would love nothing more than for you to believe that time with God is a chore rather than a privilege. But the truth is, "In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11). Every moment spent with Christ is an investment in eternal joy, peace, and purpose. Do not grow weary in this pursuit, for the Lord rewards those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this dear brother/sister who longs to know You more deeply. Lord Jesus, we thank You that You have made a way for us to draw near through Your blood, and we ask that You would stir within them a holy hunger for Your presence. Father, help them to prioritize time with You above all else, for You are worthy of our first and best. Teach them to delight in Your Word, to meditate on it day and night, and to let it transform their mind and heart.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their time with You from distractions, from the lies of the enemy, and from their own fleshly tendencies to wander. Give them the discipline to rise early or stay awake when needed, not out of legalism, but out of love for You. May their time in prayer be sweet fellowship, where they hear Your voice, receive Your peace, and are empowered by Your Spirit.

We also pray that You would reveal any areas of their life that are not surrendered to You, any sin, any idol, any compromise that hinders intimacy with You. Cleanse them by the blood of Jesus and renew a right spirit within them. May their life be a living testimony of Your grace, drawing others to You.

Father, we thank You that as they seek You, You promise to be found. Fill them with Your joy, Your wisdom, and Your love. May they know the depths of Your heart and walk in the fullness of Your purpose for them. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Continue to press into Him, dear one. The world will tell you that other things are more important, but we declare with the apostle Paul, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). Let this be your confession as well. May your life be hidden in Christ, and may your time with Him bear fruit that lasts for eternity.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
