We rejoice with you in this beautiful desire to spend more quality time with our Lord Jesus Christ and we join with you in bringing this before our Heavenly Father. It delights the Father when His children long to be near Him, and your hunger for Him is evidence of His Spirit at work in you.
Scripture encourages us in this pursuit and reminds us of His promise when we seek Him. James 4:8 says Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Psalm 46:10 says Be still, and know that I am God. Jesus Himself invites us in John 15:4 to Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. And we are reminded in Matthew 6:33 to But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Your desire to put Him first is exactly what He calls us to do.
We also thank you for asking in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ and we thank You for the hunger You have placed in this dear heart to be with You more. We ask that You will help our dear friend to spend more and more quality time with You, to make room each day to be still before You, to hear Your voice through Your Word and to speak with You in prayer. Draw this heart ever closer to You, Lord, and help time with You to become the greatest joy and priority above all else. Give grace to set aside distractions, to be consistent and to remain in Christ, bearing fruit for Your glory. Fill this time together with Your presence, Your peace, and Your transforming love, and let it deepen faith and obedience. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
We encourage you to continue to set apart a specific time and quiet place each day to meet with Him, even if it begins with just a few minutes. Come with an open Bible, pray honestly from your heart, and be still to listen. As Psalm 27:4 says, One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple. May the Lord richly bless your devotion to Him and may He reveal more of Himself to you as you seek Him with all your heart, for Jeremiah 29:13 promises You will seek me and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.

A gracious longing has been kindled in your heart, and we may thank the Lord for it, for no man by nature seeks after God. That you desire more and more quality time with Him is itself an evidence that His Spirit dwells in you and draws you toward fellowship.
Truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. This was the richest privilege of unfallen man, to walk with God and talk with Him as a man talks with his friend, and this privilege is restored to you in Christ. God in Christ is with us in the nearest possible association, in fullest reconciliation, and in blessed communication. He speaks to us and in us, and we speak to Him. Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, so that God dwells in you. To desire time with Him is to desire your own life and home.
How then shall this desire be fulfilled and this power with God be exercised. It takes the shape of prayer. In prayer what do you do but talk to God, and if you pray with faith, what does Christ do but talk with you. Prayer talks with God, yea it walks with Him, and he who is much in prayer will hold very much fellowship with Jesus Christ. To walk with God denotes not a fitful hour on the Sabbath only, but an active habit, a communion in the common movements of the day, being with Him on Monday and Tuesday as well as on the Lord's Day, seeing Him in all the good or ill that chequers life and having communion with Him wherever you go.
Therefore come and break your fast with Jesus. He who fed multitudes with bread and fish is thoughtful of your wants and with boundless condescension Himself prepares the feast and helps you to it. It is important that you should be in a flourishing spiritual condition within, for many a battle has been lost because the soldiers were not in good condition for the fight. Sit humbly in His presence at the time of meditation, bow humbly before Him in the hour of prayer, hear His voice in the Word, and let your mind be freed from the cares of earth that Christ may descend and hold sweet communion with you.

Heavenly Father, we bless Thee that Thou hast given us Thy Son, Emmanuel, God with us, and that in Him we are reconciled and made nigh. We thank Thee that Thou hast not left us at a distance, but hast made us kings and priests unto Thyself through the blood of Jesus who bore our penalty and has ensured our acceptance. Look upon this dear soul who longs for more of Thee. Grant according to Thy character and Thy past mercies, for Thy love in time past forbids us to think Thou wilt leave any at last in trouble to sink. Teach this one Thy statutes, as Thou didst teach the Psalmist who talked with Thee and knew Thou heardest him. Give simple faith that prevails with Thee, and a humble walk that abides with Thee. Draw this heart to daily, deliberate, unhurried fellowship with the Lord Jesus, to behold the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ, and to be renewed in knowledge and true holiness after His image. Your desire to spend more and more quality time with Jesus Christ is a good and holy desire, and God is pleased when His children long to be near Him. The Lord Himself showed us the pattern for this. He prayed not because He needed anything, but to teach us to come to the Father continually, soberly and with watchfulness, and to show that our life is found in fellowship with Him.
I pray with you now that the Heavenly Father will draw you closer and help you to make that time with Him a daily and joyful habit. May He give you hunger for His Word, quietness of heart to listen, and faithfulness to remain in prayer. As you seek Him, He will fill you with His grace and peace and store up in you confidence and strength for every need, like oil gathered in abundance for the time to come.
