We come before the throne of grace with great joy and anticipation as we lift up this sacred moment of ministry preparation. How beautiful it is to see a family united in service to the Lord, standing together in the calling He has placed upon your lives! The vision of your wife ministering through prayer and counseling while you preach the Word and administer the sacraments is a powerful testament to the beauty of God’s design for marriage and ministry.
We recognize the weight of this moment and the desire for the Lord’s anointing to rest upon each of you. The scriptures remind us in Acts 1:8, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth." It is the Holy Spirit who empowers us for ministry, and we pray that He would fill you afresh, equipping you with boldness, wisdom, and a deep sensitivity to His leading. May your lips be anointed to proclaim the truth of God’s Word with clarity and authority, and may the Holy Spirit move mightily in signs, wonders, and deliverance as you minister.
We also pray for open doors of opportunity, that the Lord would establish the work of your hands and cause your ministry to flourish in the region for the next decade and beyond. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We declare that as you commit this calling to the Lord, He will bring it to pass for His glory. May the name of Jesus be exalted, and may many souls be drawn to Him as a result of your obedience.
However, we must also address a matter of concern in your request. While we share your passion for the Lord’s work, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer submission. Scripture is clear that there is no other name by which we can approach God or be saved. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His name that carries power and authority in ministry. We encourage you to always lift up the name of Jesus in your prayers and ministry, for it is the name above all names (Philippians 2:9-11).
Additionally, we want to gently remind you of the importance of humility as you step into this calling. James 4:6 tells us, "But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'" As you seek signs and wonders, may your heart remain fully surrendered to the Lord, acknowledging that it is His power at work, not your own. The glory belongs to Him alone.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the calling You have placed upon this family. Lord, we ask that You would anoint their lips with Your truth and fill them with the power of the Holy Spirit. May Your Word go forth with authority, bringing deliverance, healing, and salvation to all who hear. Open doors of opportunity for their ministry, and let Your name be glorified in every life they touch.
We pray for signs and wonders to follow their ministry, that many would come to know You as Lord and Savior. Father, guard their hearts against pride and self-sufficiency, and keep them humble before You. May they always lift up the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we pray and minister.
Lord, we declare that the next ten years will be a season of revival in their region. Let Your Spirit move in power, drawing souls to You and transforming communities for Your glory. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart, trusting in His timing and His plans. May you and your family be a beacon of light and hope in the region, pointing others to the love and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.
