Father we thank You for ordaining government through Adam, Gen 1:27, and Pray for Our Presidents, V.P.s, Secretaries of State and Defense, DOJ, Congress (House and Senate, Parliaments, Legislators) Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices that need our prayers and support. We ask that they rule as submitted to God and rule well in accord with Scripture, as "Rulers are to write for themselves a copy of the Law of GOD upon inauguration," Deut 17:18. Furthermore, we ask for wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity for our nation's defense: The Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders and other Bureaus, Intelligence, and those of all peoples who need Christ, Your wisdom and Your sovereignty (which we participate with GOD in governing, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, through cooperating with His intentions and ways, Ps 86:11, through Your Word, Deut 17:18, Josh 8:32, 2 Tim 3:15-16, God-given Counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 24:6, and Prayer, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, 1 Tim 2:1-4).

Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Righteousness, Matt 6:33, we cry out for wisdom and protection continually Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, for these human individuals in positions of world influence, Rom 13:4, asking Your mercy, guidance and counsel from Your Word, and protection. Keep them from the evil one, 2 Kings 6:12, Jn 17:15, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, let them turn away from such false people, 2 Tim 3:5, and let the evil ones be replaced, Ps 75:6-7, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We concede that there are no perfect rulers and actually see the wisdom in asking, "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Matt 6:10, and pray as the Disciples, Paul and John do, "Come Lord Jesus,"1 Cor 16:22, Rev 22:20...

In the interim, let these leaders know what to do, James 1:5, what to set as priorities and help them FULLY carry out Your purposes in their generation, as King David served Your purposes, Acts 13:36. Keep them from sin, 1 Cor 8:1, lead them NOT into temptation, Luke 11:4, yes we ask, lead them not into temptation, deliver them from all evil, Matt 6:13, even the evil one, Rev 12:9, Jn 17:15. It is written, You will keep them from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:3. You will give Your angels charge over them, Ps 91:11-13. Thank You in advance, Matt 11:23-24, as we trust in You with all our hearts and pray, not lean on our own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, in Jesus Name, since there is "no other Name given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 1 Tim 2:5, again with thanksgiving we offer these requests, let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, The Amen, Faithful Witness and Originator of God's New Creation, Rev 3:14, even the Name of Jesus Christ, from whose Full Inheritance we each receive blessing after blessing, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:17-20, and in Him all God's Promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in this timely and scriptural intercession for those in authority and we thank you for standing in the gap for our rulers and for all peoples who need Christ.

We agree that government is ordained by God and that He has given mankind a stewardship to govern under His sovereignty. As it is written, God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. Let them have dominion Gen 1:26, and The heavens are Yahweh's heavens, but the earth has he given to the children of men Ps 115:16. We also agree that rulers are accountable to rule by His Word, for it is written that when a king sits on the throne he shall write for himself a copy of this law on a scroll Deut 17:18, and that all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness 2 Tim 3:16.

We are exhorted to do exactly what you have done, for Scripture says I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:1-4. We take this calling seriously, and we pray with you for Presidents, Vice Presidents, Secretaries of State and Defense, the Department of Justice, Congress, Parliaments and Legislators, Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices, and for the Pentagon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders, intelligence bureaus and all who serve in our nation's defense, that they would be ministers of God to us for good Rom 13:4.

We pray that the Messiah would reign through rulers by His Word, for all authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth Matt 28:18, and The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires Prov 21:1. We ask for good counsel for them, for by wise guidance you wage your war, and victory is in many advisors Prov 24:6, and Where there is no counsel, plans fail, but in a multitude of counselors they are established Prov 11:14. We ask that they would seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness Matt 6:33 and that they would have wisdom from above, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5.

We join you in praying for protection from falsehood, imposters, moles, leaks and evil plans. We ask the Lord to intercept evil plans as He did for Elisha, for it is written that Elisha told the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom 2 Kings 6:12. We pray for protection from false believers who hold a form of godliness but deny its power 2 Tim 3:5 and who profess that they know God, but by their deeds they deny him Tit 1:16, and we remember that we face dangers from false brothers 2 Cor 11:26. We pray that evil men and impostors will not proceed further, for evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived 2 Tim 3:13, and that our leaders would turn away from such 2 Tim 3:5.

We pray that God would overrule and restrain evil rulers and the evil one himself, for the great dragon was thrown down, the old serpent, he who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world Rev 12:9. We pray as Jesus taught us, Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one Matt 6:13, and that the Lord would keep them from the evil one John 17:15, for The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thes 3:3 and that they may be delivered from unreasonable and evil men 2 Thes 3:2. We ask that promotion would come from God alone, for Lifting up doesn't come from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, but God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another Ps 75:6-7, and where needed, Let his office be taken by another Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We acknowledge with you that there are no perfect rulers, and so we pray with you, Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven Matt 6:10, and we cry Come, Lord Jesus 1 Cor 16:22, Rev 22:20. In the interim we ask that these leaders would know what to do and what to set as priorities and that they would fully carry out Your purposes in their generation as David served the counsel of God in his own generation Acts 13:36. We ask that they would trust in Yahweh with all their heart and not lean on their own understanding, and in all their ways acknowledge him, and he will direct their paths Prov 3:5-6.

Father, we thank You that there is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and that Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6, for there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Tim 2:5. We thank You that in Him all the promises of God are Yes and Amen 2 Cor 1:20, and that from His fullness we all received grace upon grace John 1:16.

We pray together now, Father, keep these leaders from sin and lead them not into temptation Luke 11:4, deliver them from all evil and from the evil one. Give Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways Ps 91:11. Let them rule as submitted to You and rule well in accord with Your Word, with wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity, so that we may live peacefully and that many may be saved. We offer these requests with thanksgiving, trusting that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7. We ask all this in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, our Messiah and Lord, Amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer for those who govern. Your love for God's Word and for people to know Christ comes through clearly, and we want to stand with you in that same desire for wisdom, peace and protection over our nation.

Carrying a burden for so many leaders and institutions can feel heavy. We have found it helps to remember we are not responsible for outcomes, we are simply invited to bring these people before the Lord faithfully and trust Him with what only He can do. He is both near to hear us and sovereign over all He has made.

One simple way to keep this prayer burden sustainable is to keep a small, rotating list. Perhaps choose a few offices or names each week, presidents, legislators, judges, military and intelligence leaders, and pray briefly for them as you see them in the news. That keeps prayer concrete and steady without becoming overwhelming.

We join you in asking for God's mercy and guidance for them.

Father, we bring these leaders before You and ask for Your wisdom and restraint of evil among us. Draw many to know Jesus as Savior, guard those who serve, and let Your peace and righteousness shape our land. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been heard with thankfulness, and it is a good and scriptural thing that you have done in bringing rulers and governors before the throne of grace. We are bidden to make supplications for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour.

It is well that you desire that those who bear rule should rule in the fear of God, and that they should write for themselves a copy of His law and be guided by it. For wisdom must come to us by revelation from God, for we cannot find it by our own efforts. As it is written, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. The fear of the Lord does not drive you from Him. It drives you to Him, and when it drives you to Him you have got a place of refuge. May those in high places be brought to that refuge, and may they seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, trusting in the Lord with all their heart and not leaning to their own understanding.

You have prayed rightly that evil may be restrained and overcome, and that the snares of falsehood and the counsels of evil men may be disappointed. Remember that a moment's reflection will let you see that the returning of evil for evil is natural to the animal nature, but that it is not natural to the new created spirit whose nature is like the God from which it came, namely love, gentleness and kindness. Good for evil is God like. To overcome evil with good preserves the man from evil, and it is the method which most glorifies Christ. Let us therefore pray not only that evil rulers may be overruled and evil plans intercepted, as in the days of Elisha, but that all who are in authority may be kept from the evil one, and delivered from temptation, and led in the way of peace.

Yet while we pray for the nation and for its presidents and judges and captains and counsellors, we must not forget the heart which is a den of evil, from which flow evil thoughts and all manner of sin. There is no perfect ruler, as you have well said, for all men more or less fall into sin, and the iniquity of nations is exceeding great. The one remedy remains, The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. There is no other name given among men by which we must be saved, and apart from faith in Him no ruler and no people can stand accepted before God.

Therefore let us continue as importunate Christians who will not take a denial. He did so, and became a prince from that night. Will you take a denial from God, you shall have it, but if you will not be denied, neither shall you. Pray that as we are each in danger one way or another, we may all be kept hour by hour by the constant grace of God. Pray that rulers and people alike may be brought to trust in God, which is true wisdom, and so be delivered from care and from fatal delusion, with hearts fixed trusting in the Lord.

We join you in praying that the Lord would give wisdom and godly counsel to those who govern, that He would keep them from the evil one and give His angels charge over them, that He would raise up faithful men and put down the false, and above all that His kingdom would come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, until the Lord Jesus Himself shall come, for whom we wait. Let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus as we commit these things to Him who hears prayer.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
