Father we thank You for ordaining government through Adam, Gen 1:27, and Pray for Our Presidents, V.P.s, Secretaries of State and Defense, DOJ, Congress (House and Senate, Parliaments, Legislators) Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices that need our prayers and support. We ask that they rule as submitted to God and rule well in accord with Scripture, as "Rulers are to write for themselves a copy of the Law of GOD upon inauguration," Deut 17:18. Furthermore, we ask for wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity for our nation's defense: The Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders and other Bureaus, Intelligence, and those of all peoples who need Christ, Your wisdom and Your sovereignty (which we participate with GOD in governing, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, through cooperating with His intentions and ways, Ps 86:11, through Your Word, Deut 17:18, Josh 8:32, 2 Tim 3:15-16, God-given Counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 24:6, and Prayer, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, 1 Tim 2:1-4).

Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Righteousness, Matt 6:33, we cry out for wisdom and protection continually Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, for these human individuals in positions of world influence, Rom 13:4, asking Your mercy, guidance and counsel from Your Word, and protection. Keep them from the evil one, 2 Kings 6:12, Jn 17:15, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, let them turn away from such false people, 2 Tim 3:5, and let the evil ones be replaced, Ps 75:6-7, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We concede that there are no perfect rulers and actually see the wisdom in asking, "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Matt 6:10, and pray as the Disciples, Paul and John do, "Come Lord Jesus,"1 Cor 16:22, Rev 22:20...

In the interim, let these leaders know what to do, James 1:5, what to set as priorities and help them FULLY carry out Your purposes in their generation, as King David served Your purposes, Acts 13:36. Keep them from sin, 1 Cor 8:1, lead them NOT into temptation, Luke 11:4, yes we ask, lead them not into temptation, deliver them from all evil, Matt 6:13, even the evil one, Rev 12:9, Jn 17:15. It is written, You will keep them from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:3. You will give Your angels charge over them, Ps 91:11-13. Thank You in advance, Matt 11:23-24, as we trust in You with all our hearts and pray, not lean on our own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, in Jesus Name, since there is "no other Name given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 1 Tim 2:5, again with thanksgiving we offer these requests, let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, The Amen, Faithful Witness and Originator of God's New Creation, Rev 3:14, even the Name of Jesus Christ, from whose Full Inheritance we each receive blessing after blessing, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:17-20, and in Him all God's Promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join you in this faithful and timely prayer for our rulers and for the reign of Messiah through His Word, and we thank God with you for ordaining government for the good of mankind. We agree that God established authority from the beginning when He said let them have dominion, Genesis 1:26, and that He created man in His own image, Genesis 1:27, and entrusted to us a share in His governance under His sovereignty, Psalm 115:16. We also agree that every soul should be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those that exist are ordained by God, Romans 13:1, and that rulers are God's servant for good, Romans 13:4.

We lift up with you our presidents, vice presidents, secretaries of state and defense, the Department of Justice, our Congress in the House and Senate, and all legislators and parliaments, federal judges and Supreme Court justices, together with the Pentagon, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, generals, military commanders, bureaus and intelligence communities, and all peoples who still need Christ. We pray as you have prayed that they would rule as those submitted to God and rule well according to Scripture, remembering the command that the ruler shall write for himself a copy of this law, Deuteronomy 17:18, and meditate on it, Joshua 1:8, for all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, 2 Timothy 3:16.

We ask the Father that the heart of the king would be as rivers of water in Yahweh's hand, He turns it wherever He desires, Proverbs 21:1, and that with good counsel and wise guidance they would wage war against evil and be established, for where there is no counsel, purposes are disappointed, but in the multitude of counselors they are established, Proverbs 11:14, and with good counsel you shall make your war, and in the multitude of counselors there is victory, Proverbs 24:6. We pray that they would seek first God's Kingdom and His righteousness, Matthew 6:33, and that they would be given wisdom liberally when they ask of God who gives to all generously and without reproach, James 1:5.

We join you in praying as we are exhorted to do, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:1-4. We pray continually as our Lord taught that men ought always to pray and not to faint, Luke 18:1, and we do not cease giving thanks for these leaders, making mention of them in our prayers, Ephesians 1:16, that prayer be made for them day and night, Psalm 72:15.

We ask for protection over them from falsehood, imposters, moles and leaks, from evil men and evil plans, for evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Timothy 3:13, and we ask that as with Elisha, You would intercept and reveal the counsel of the enemy, for Elisha told the king of Israel the words that the enemy spoke in his bedroom, 2 Kings 6:12. We pray they would turn away from those who have a form of godliness but deny its power, 2 Timothy 3:5, from those who profess to know God but deny Him by their works, Titus 1:16, and keep them from perils among false brothers, 2 Corinthians 11:26. We ask that You would overrule and restrain evil rulers and the evil one himself, that old serpent who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world, Revelation 12:9, and deliver them from evil, Matthew 6:13, and from unreasonable and evil men, 2 Thessalonians 3:2, for the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We pray as Jesus prayed, not that You would take them out of the world, but that You would keep them from the evil one, John 17:15, and give Your angels charge over them to keep them in all their ways, Psalm 91:11.

We acknowledge with you that there are no perfect rulers, and we pray with longing, Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth, Matthew 6:10, and we join the cry of the apostles, Maranatha, Come Lord Jesus, 1 Corinthians 16:22, Revelation 22:20. In the interim we ask that You would help these leaders fully carry out Your purposes in their generation as David served the counsel of God in his own generation, Acts 13:36, that You would keep them from sin, lead them not into temptation but deliver them from evil, Luke 11:4, Matthew 6:13, and promote and demote according to Your sovereign will, for promotion does not come from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, but God is the judge, He puts down one and lifts up another, Psalm 75:6-7, and let his office another take, Psalm 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We pray this with confidence because there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved but the name of Jesus, Acts 4:12, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, John 14:6, and there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5. It is in His name we have access to the Father, and in Him all the promises of God are Yes and Amen, 2 Corinthians 1:20, and from His fullness we have all received grace upon grace, John 1:16, and every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, Ephesians 1:3.

Father, we trust in You with all our heart and do not lean on our own understanding, in all our ways we acknowledge You and You will direct our paths, Proverbs 3:5-6. We bring these requests to You with thanksgiving, that Your peace which surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. Let Messiah reign through rulers by Your Word, for all authority has been given to Him in heaven and on earth, Matthew 28:18, and we pray He would teach all nations to observe all things You have commanded, Matthew 28:20. We thank You in advance for hearing us, and we ask all this in the faithful and true name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear the weight and love behind your prayer, a real desire to see the Lord's wisdom and mercy shape those who lead and to see people come to know Christ. Carrying so many leaders, offices, and needs before the Father is a faithful burden, and we are grateful you brought it here so we can stand with you.

It is a lot to hold at once, and it can feel heavy when the needs of nations and the pressures on leaders seem so large. We find it helps to remember that our part is steady, faithful intercession, and God's part is to govern in perfect wisdom. He invites us to keep asking without carrying the outcome as if it rests on us.

One simple way to keep this prayer sustainable is to give it a gentle rhythm through the week, perhaps lifting up a different group each day as the Lord brings them to mind, presidents and legislators one day, judges and defense and intelligence another, so the prayer stays focused and unhurried.

Father, we bring these leaders before You and ask for Your mercy over them. Give them clear counsel, humility to seek what is right, and protection from deception and evil. Draw each one toward Yourself and toward Your truth, and guard our nations with Your peace. Guide us as we pray, that we would seek Your kingdom first and trust Your sovereign care. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest supplication for those in authority is most scriptural and most seasonable, and we do heartily join with you in it. The Word expressly exhorts that supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks be made for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

You have well remembered that the Lord ordained government and that rulers are His ministers for good, and that it is written that the ruler shall write for himself a copy of the Law of God. We pray with you that Presidents and Vice Presidents, Secretaries of State and of Defense, members of Congress and of Parliaments, judges and justices, together with generals and commanders and all entrusted with counsel and intelligence, may be brought under the reign of Messiah by His Word, that they may rule as men submitted to God, seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and walking in wisdom and godliness.

We take up your burden as the Apostle besought the brethren that they would agonize together with him in prayer to God. It is not prayer which foams itself away in words that is wanted, but prayer with force, with energy, with humble boldness and intensity of desire, prayer which like a hidden torrent cuts a channel even through rock. So let us agonize with you that the Lord would grant to these men good counsel, for in multitude of counsellors there is safety, and that He would overrule and restrain every evil design. As Elisha was made to know the plans of the enemy, so we ask the Lord to intercept evil plans, to expose falsehood and imposture, to deliver from evil men and from the evil one, and to keep those for whom we pray from temptation.

Our confidence in such praying is that Christ Himself ever lives to intercede. He prayed not that His people should be taken out of the world, but that they should be kept from the evil one, and that prayer is prevalent and prevenient. What He asks the Father will surely grant. It is written, the Lord is faithful who shall stablish you and keep you from evil, and He shall give His angels charge over you. Therefore we ask that the God of Peace would guard and keep, that He would remove the unfaithful and raise up those who will fear Him, and that He would teach rulers what to do and what to set in priority, that each may fully serve His purpose in his generation as David served the will of God.

We thank God for every gracious act He has shown to our nation and to His Church in days past, and we plead that He would again revive His work. Let us not neglect the assembling of ourselves together for prayer, for praying is after all the chief matter, and the value of our prayer will be proved by our sincere endeavour to walk before the Lord ourselves. There is no other Name given among men whereby we must be saved but the Name of Jesus Christ, and in Him all the promises of God are Yea and Amen.

We commend to you that handy and holy prayer, Lord help me, and Lord help them, and we join our Amen to yours, praying that the peace of God which passes all understanding shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus, and that the God of Peace shall be with you all.

Your prayer for rulers is right and pleasing to God, and we join you in it. Scripture commands that supplications and intercessions be made for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness, and that all may come to the knowledge of the truth which is in Christ Jesus alone, for there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

We pray with you that those who govern would be governed by the Word of God. As it is written, the ruler was to write for himself a copy of the law and read it all the days of his life, that his heart might not be lifted up and that he might learn to fear the Lord. We ask God to give our presidents, vice presidents, legislators, judges, generals and all who bear responsibility for the public order, wisdom and good counsel, for by wise guidance war is waged and in abundance of counselors there is victory. We ask that He surround them with counselors who speak truth and not flattery, and that He give them grace to turn away from deadly counsel even when it comes with a mask of sympathy or from near associates.

We also pray as you have asked for protection. The institution of rule is ordained by God to restrain confusion, for anarchy is an evil and a cause of ruin, and disobedience to lawful order also brings disorder. Yet not every deed of every ruler is from God, and we live in a present darkness where the adversary works as a ruler of this world. Therefore we pray that the Lord would keep these men and women from the evil one, deliver them from temptation, expose falsehood and the counsel of imposters, restrain every evil plan, and overrule what is wicked for good, as He revealed the secret plans of enemies to Elisha. We pray that He would remove those who persist in evil and raise up those who will execute justice with mercy, for promotion comes from God who puts down one and lifts up another.

There is an evil agreement and there is a good disagreement. We do not pray for a false unity that joins together for harm, but for a true concord in what is good and true. Where there is division from evil, that separation is for good, and where there is agreement in righteousness, that unity is for blessing.

We confess with you that there are no perfect rulers. For this reason we pray, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and we join the apostles in saying, Come, Lord Jesus. Until He comes, we ask that each leader would know what to do and would fully carry out the good purpose God has given him for his generation, as David served the purpose of God in his own time. We ask that they would be kept from sin, led not into temptation, guarded by angels, and above all that they would be saved through faith in Jesus Christ, in whose name alone salvation is given.

We will continue to pray with thanksgiving that God would grant them repentance where needed, wisdom where lacking, courage where fearful, and protection from every snare, that His peace which guards hearts and minds in Christ Jesus would rest upon all who call upon Him, and that His purposes for justice and mercy would not fail.
