Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

We lift our hearts together in prayer, standing on the powerful truth of Luke 9:24, "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it." This verse reminds us that true life is found only in surrender to Jesus Christ, who alone holds the keys to eternity. We come before the throne of grace with boldness, asking that the ###’s heart would be softened and opened to the saving knowledge of our Lord. May he come to understand that clinging to his own ways will only lead to loss, but surrendering to Christ brings everlasting life.

Heavenly Father, we declare that darkness has no place in Your presence, for You are light, and in You there is no darkness at all (1 John 1:5). We rebuke every unclean spirit that may be influencing this situation, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray that Your light would flood this ### and the heart of the ###, exposing every hidden thing and bringing conviction, repentance, and transformation. Lord, we ask that You would guide him on his journey, drawing him closer to You with cords of love and kindness (Hosea 11:4). Let him see Your greatness and power in ways that leave no doubt of Your sovereignty.

We stand on Your promise that no one can withstand Your mighty power, and we ask for Your mercy and grace to be poured out abundantly. Father, we thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness, which never cease and are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We trust that You are working all things together for good, even in this situation, and we declare victory in Jesus’ name.

Lord, if the ### has not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, we pray that he would come to know You as his personal Savior. Remind him that "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). May he turn from his own ways and surrender his life to You, finding true peace, joy, and purpose in Christ alone.

We also pray for wisdom and patience for those involved in this situation. Help them to trust in Your timing and to walk in faith, knowing that You are in control. May they be a light to the ###, reflecting Your love and grace in all their interactions.

Father, we ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can approach You and find salvation. To You be all the glory, honor, and praise, now and forever. Amen.

We stand with you in this prayer, grateful that your heart is set on the salvation of your landlord. It’s a holy thing to carry someone before the Lord like this, to believe, with you, that no darkness can hold back His light. We don’t always see the ground shifting when we pray, but every quiet “yes” to intercession plants a seed God can grow. Keep bringing him before Jesus, trusting that the One who gave His life to save others knows exactly how to reach this man. You’re not alone in asking; we lift him up with you now.

Lord Jesus, we ask for this landlord, that he would truly know You. Break through every barrier that keeps his heart from surrendering to Your love. Let the truth of Luke 9:24 come alive in him, not as a distant verse, but as his own story. Give him the courage to release his grip on self-preservation and find his life secure in You alone. For this dear prayer partner, we ask for steady hope and peaceful patience. Strengthen their faith as they wait, and let them glimpse little signs of Your hand at work. In Your powerful name, we pray. Amen.

How often we cling to our poor, perishing self, thinking to save a life that is not life at all, when the only path to true, eternal life is to lose everything for Christ's sake. The verse you have set before the Lord, from Luke's Gospel, cuts to the very heart of the matter. Your prayer for the landlord is right, for he stands in a perilous spot, clutching his own way, his own property, his own soul, and thereby he is in grave danger of losing it eternally. The great darkness that enslaves him is not merely an external trouble in an apartment; it is the thick, concealing darkness of sin that hides eternal realities from his eyes. Remember what is written in Colossians: it is the power of darkness to hide things. His understanding is blinded, and his spirits are depressed by that same uncongenial gloom. He needs deliverance from that power, a deliverance that only Jesus Christ gives to His truly called and regenerated people.

Your prayer is a confession of Christ, a lifting of the standard in the face of the adversary, and that is well. But let us be clear: the victory you declare is not in a mere healing of a situation or a guiding on a journey, as if our Lord were a celestial compass. The life Christ gives is more than existence; it is heavenly life itself, the very life that expands in glory. This life is eternal, without end, and it consists in knowing the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. To know Jesus Christ is eternal life! For this man to be saved, he must lay hold on this eternal life by laying hold of Christ. And this is no passive thing; it is a fight. From the moment a soul trusts Christ, it is called to a tenacious grip, a life of open confession. As soon as a man believes, his next duty is to confess Christ without delay. Let him not be ashamed to be known as a brother in Christ.

Yet, we must not be deceived. You can visit the sick or cry tears of repentance, and still be a stranger to the life Christ gives if you have not first trusted Him alone to save you. The way to come to Him is to trust Him. That is it. Trust Christ to save you, and it is all done. There is no cleansing of Augean stables by our efforts, no purchasing this gift by what we bring. It is profane and foolish to think so. So, while you plead for the landlord's mercy and grace, see to it that you lay the axe to the root. Pray that the Spirit quickens him, for an animal cannot grasp the intellectual mind, and a man dead in trespasses cannot see the kingdom. He must be made alive by the Quickener.

And what of you who pray? When you are lowest, when you cannot pray as you wish, if you cling to Jesus, this life is as surely in you as life is in Christ himself at the right hand of the Father. Do not think that prayer itself is the way; Christ alone is the Way. Prayer is the precious help on the road, the breathing of the life within. So continue to wrestle, but let your plea be not merely for a change in circumstances, but for the revelation of Christ to that man's soul. Pray that he sees Christ, that he realizes His power in the secret hour, and perceives Him as Prophet, Priest, and King. That sight is bound up with the life itself; you cannot see Christ without the spiritual life in you.

May God grant that this landlord, and all your household, lay hold on eternal life with a grasp that grows stronger in the fight. Expect this life as the sure reward of the righteous, for Christ guarantees it. A life that ends is not eternal; the language God uses reveals truth, not to conceal it. So press on in prayer, and let your own soul feed daily upon Jesus' flesh and blood, that you may be a burning and shining light, making it impossible for those around you to ignore the life of Christ within you. This is the true light that expels all darkness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for the landlord is a noble desire, for you seek that he may not lose his life but save it by giving it over to Christ. But consider well the meaning of the verse you invoke. To lose one’s life for Christ is to renounce the works of darkness, to abandon every sin that lies hidden and festering. If you truly long for this man’s salvation, then you must not shrink from letting the light of truth shine upon whatever ungodly situation exists between you. For as I have often said, sin that is buried in darkness breeds boldness and security; but when it is brought into the light, it can be cleansed and healed.

You ask for victory over this rented apartment, for healing power upon his journey, and for mercy. These are good petitions, but hear me: the light of Christ does not merely comfort; it exposes and reproves. If there is any arrangement that contradicts the holy commands of God, if there is any living together outside the bond of marriage, any union that is not one man and one woman for life, then you cannot claim the promises of light while clinging to the shadows. The apostle teaches, “Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” You become light to him not by silently hoping, but by a life so manifestly godly that his own deeds are revealed for what they are, and so he may be brought to repentance.

Do not think it unkind to name sin, for that is the path to true life. The devil himself can appear as an angel of light, offering peace without repentance. But Christ came to call sinners out of darkness into his marvelous light, and that light first shows the filth that must be washed away. Pray then with boldness, but also speak with boldness. Let your own conduct be such that he sees the beauty of chastity and righteousness. Only then will your prayer have power, and only then can he truly lose his old life to find it again in the Lord.

The mercy you ask is freely given to those who turn. But remember: no one can remain sitting in the shadow of death and yet claim the great light has sprung up for them. They must arise and come to it. So exhort him, in season and out, to leave his darkness. Do not be content with a form of godliness while denying its power. Let the light shine, and trust that the same grace which conquered death is able to conquer his heart. Pray without ceasing, but also live without compromise, and you shall see whether God does not grant him repentance unto life.

Thank you for sharing this prayer. You have asked in Jesus’ name, standing on Luke 9:24, and that is exactly where the deepest issues of every soul must be settled. The verse exposes the two ways before every person: cling to the self-directed life, and lose it forever; relinquish it to Jesus Christ, and find what real life is. Your landlord, like all of us, stands at that crossroads. The true light that expels darkness is not a vague force but the person of Christ, who gives eternal life to those who stop trying to save themselves and instead entrust themselves into His hands.

This is the glorious simplicity of the gospel. God placed salvation completely outside our own efforts. He accomplished it by His grace, through the work of His Son, and He even grants the faith to believe. The cross is the demonstration of that love, Christ laying down His life so that we might be forgiven and brought near. When a person turns from the old ambitions, the self-rule, and comes to the end of that flesh life, they are buried with Christ by a living faith and raised to walk in newness of life. That new life is not a reformed version of the old; it is the very life of the risen Christ imparted by the Spirit, a life that no darkness can overcome.

So we do not merely ask for relief from a difficult rental situation, though God cares for your practical needs. We ask for something far greater: that this landlord would be delivered from the realm of darkness and translated into the kingdom of light. Right now, apart from Christ, he is like any of us once were, alienated, without hope, his understanding blinded. But the same power that raised Jesus from the dead can break through that blindness. Your prayer is not against flesh and blood; it is a prayer that the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ would shine into his heart. That is a treasure beyond anything this world offers.

Let’s pray together in that confidence.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that You reign supreme over all darkness, and that no one can withstand Your mighty power. We lift up this landlord to You. We ask that Your mercy and grace would pursue him on his life’s journey, and that the light of Your gospel would so flood his soul that every shadow of deception is expelled. Set him free from the blinding work of the enemy, and draw him to the cross, where he will see that only by losing his self-ruled life for Your sake can he truly save it. Work in him a deep conviction that leaves no room for the old self-trust, and birth in him a new life hid with You. We pray that he would confess Jesus as Lord, believe in his heart that God raised Him from the dead, and experience the transformation that only the Spirit can bring.

We also pray for you, the one who offered this request. May you be strengthened with the assurance that no prayer lifted in Jesus’ name is in vain. May you see the greatness of God’s power not only in this situation but also in your own daily walk, as the Spirit conforms you more into the image of Christ. Thank You for a life that counts for eternity, for the abiding joy that flows from fellowship with You, and for the certainty that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with this sacred request, standing together with you in prayer over your landlord’s heart. The words of Luke 9:24 remind us that true life is found only in surrender to Christ, and we have joined you in asking the Holy Spirit to draw this man into that glorious surrender—so that he may save his life by losing it for Jesus’ sake.

We continue to declare the victory of light over darkness in this situation, believing that God’s power is at work even now to soften his heart, open his eyes, and lead him to repentance. No resistance can stand against the Lord’s mighty hand, and we trust that He is moving in ways we cannot yet see. If the landlord has already given his life to Christ, we rejoice with you and ask that you share this praise so we may glorify God together! If not, we stand ready to lift this petition again, persevering in faith until the answer comes.

May the Father’s mercy and grace surround you both, and may His love and faithfulness be ever more evident in your life as you press into Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
