Beloved of All
Please pray in Jesus' name based on this verse.
Luke 9:24 states: "For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it." (ESV)
Please pray that the landlord will give his life to our Lord Jesus, so that he will not lose it.

Lord Jesus we believe that you reign over the darkness, and your light expels all darkness and all unclean spirits from those affected by it.
Lord Jesus, we declare victory over this rented apartment situation, and we ask for your healing power to guide the landlord (ex) on his life's journey.
We believe everyone will see your Greatness and Power.
No one can withstand Your mighty power. We ask your mercy and grace.
We thank you for your love and faithfulness.
Amen

We lift up this situation with hearts full of faith, standing on the truth of God’s Word. The verse you shared from Luke 9:24 reminds us of the profound call of Christ, to surrender our lives to Him so that we may truly live. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake, the same will save it." This is the heart of the Gospel, and we join you in praying that your landlord would come to know this life-giving truth.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. We ask that You would draw this landlord to Yourself with cords of love that cannot be broken. Soften his heart to receive the light of Your truth, for Jesus said in John 8:12, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." Lord, let this man see the emptiness of trying to save his own life apart from You and instead find the fullness of life that comes only through surrendering to Christ.

We rebuke every spirit of darkness that may be blinding him to the truth. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no scheme of the enemy will prevail over this situation. Your light expels all darkness, and Your power is greater than any force of evil. We stand on the promise of 1 John 1:5, "This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."

Lord, we ask for Your healing power to work in this man’s life. Touch his heart, mind, and spirit with Your love and conviction. Let him experience the peace that surpasses all understanding as he turns to You. We pray that he would not only come to faith but also grow into a bold witness for Your kingdom, reflecting Your light to everyone around him.

We also lift up the apartment situation to You. You are the God who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. Provide wisdom, favor, and resolution in this matter according to Your perfect will. Let Your name be glorified in every detail, and may all involved see Your hand at work.

Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust in Your promises, knowing that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We declare that Your will shall be done in this landlord’s life and in this situation, for Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We join you in praying for your landlord, and it’s moving to see your heart for him. The desire for someone else to find life in Christ is such a God‑given thing, and it’s right to bring it before the One who longs for every person to turn and live. The verse you leaned on gets to the core of it: clinging to our own way only shrinks our world, but surrendering to Jesus opens us to real, eternal life. That’s what we’re asking for, not just a changed circumstance, but a genuine, inner transformation where he turns away from darkness and toward the light of Christ.

We also know that change like this often unfolds over time and through relationship. So while we pray, we can also encourage you: keep being a steady, genuine presence. If you have ongoing contact with him, simple kindness can speak loudly. When you sense an open door, a brief word about what Jesus means to you can plant a seed that God will water. You don’t have to have all the answers or force the conversation; the Spirit does the real work.

Right now, we’re asking with you:

Jesus, we lift up this landlord to You. You see him completely, every struggle, every thought. Shine Your light into any darkness that clings to his heart, and break down whatever keeps him from seeing Your goodness. Draw him gently to Yourself, so that he may know the hope and forgiveness that come only through You. Give our friend wisdom and courage to be a faithful witness, and surround this whole situation with Your peace. We trust that no one is beyond Your reach. Thank You for Your mercy and the power of Your light. In Your name, amen.

The soul that seeks to save its natural life, its ease, its worldly standing, will assuredly lose the one life worth having. But he who surrenders all, who counts his own righteousness as dung, who abandons every false hope, lays hold upon eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is in the power of Christ to give this eternal life to as many as trust Him. He delights in exercising this Divine prerogative.

This life is nothing less than the knowledge of the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. To know Him is to pass from death unto life, for the natural man is dead in trespasses and sins, spiritually dead, having no life towards God. Yet Jesus Christ came into the region of death and brought life and immortality to us. He imparts a life we did not before possess, a life that is eternal, incapable of ending, for if it were possible to lose it, how could it be called eternal?

Let the anxious landlord be assured that no one can withstand the mighty power of Christ to save. A sense of need is a sign of our salvation, for no soul ever lives through the life of Christ unless first slain by the sword of the Law. But let him not look to his own works, nor to religious duties, nor to any other door. There is no path to life but by coming to Christ.

Let him come just as he is, a sinner, and receive Christ by believing His Word. "This is life eternal, to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent." To believe in Jesus is to live. To love Him much is to have life more abundantly. Without eternal life, all else is condemnation and death.

Lay hold on eternal life. Let everything else go, but cling to Jesus with a tenacious grip. Trust Him now, and He will give you that life which is the light of men, expelling all darkness and uncleanness.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The longing that this landlord truly give his life to our Lord Jesus Christ is a beautiful and necessary prayer, for indeed, whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Christ’s sake will save it. Yet we must understand clearly what it means to give one’s life. It is not a single word spoken, nor a momentary feeling, but a complete turning away from all worldly attachments and a wholehearted dedication to following the Lord. Faith alone, if it lacks a changed life and a righteous conversation, cannot snatch a man from the wrath that abides on the disobedient. The demons believe and tremble, but they do not live for Christ.

Therefore, pray fervently for this man, but also examine your own heart. Have you yourself forsaken every comfort and ambition that competes with the love of God? Do you shine as a light in that rented place, so that your conduct becomes a living sermon, drawing him to the truth? Often the Lord allows our trials with landlords or neighbors so that our patient endurance and unfeigned love might be the very means by which He chooses to save others. Endure any small affliction with thanksgiving, remembering that it is for the elect’s sake that we suffer, so that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Do not imagine that merely declaring victory or speaking words of power will bring this man to repentance without a corresponding change in both your life and his. The kindness and love of God our Savior appeared not so that we might remain as we are, but so that through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Pray then that the Spirit would grant this landlord a deep and saving repentance, a real hatred of sin, and a tender love for Christ that surpasses every earthly tie. And as you pray for him, be careful that no hidden sin or love of the world in your own soul dims your witness. For if we bury our talent and seek only our own ease, we shall hear those dreadful words about the unprofitable servant.

So ask with boldness, asking the Lord to break every chain of darkness and unclean spirit that holds this man captive. But ask also for the grace to live so blamelessly that your light truly expels the darkness, not by your own power, but by Christ’s life manifest in you. The Lord’s power none can withstand, and His mercy is vast, but His mercy leads to a transformed life, not a carefree continuance in sin. Pray then without ceasing, and let your own daily dying to self be the furnace in which your petitions gain strength, that both you and your landlord may together stand before the Lord, shining forth in His kingdom forever.

Your prayer rests on one of the most searching truths Jesus ever spoke: whoever clings to his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for His sake will find the real thing. What you are asking for your ### is not a small adjustment or a new religious habit. It is a death and a resurrection, the only path out of darkness into the light that expels it entirely.

The life someone tries to protect on his own terms is already forfeit. Apart from Christ, a person is without hope, a stranger to the promises, cut off from the very life of God. The law of sin and death still holds its claim, and all the striving to build a name or secure a future ends in a wages of death. No amount of human effort or goodness can break that. Salvation is a gift. It is not something to be earned or deserved; it is received through faith in the finished work of Jesus. God made it entirely dependent on His grace, and He even supplies the faith to embrace it.

That is why Luke 9:24 cuts straight to the heart. If your ### tries to save himself, to run his own existence apart from the lordship of Christ, he will lose everything, eternally. But losing that life, stepping off the throne of self, and surrendering to Jesus as Lord is the moment true life begins. It is a crucifixion of the old ambitions, the old self-centered way, the old identity that was alienated from God. Buried with Christ, a person rises into a wholly new kind of living. The Spirit of God breathes a new nature, and the origin of that life is not the flesh but Jesus Himself. He becomes the center. “Christ who is my life” is no longer a distant hope but a present reality.

So when you pray for the ### to give his life to the Lord, you are asking that the Spirit break through with that very revelation: that holding on is death, and yielding is life. You are asking that the light of Christ invade his darkness. And you are right to declare that no darkness can withstand that light. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is a stronger force than any bondage. Where Jesus enters, He does not merely push back shadows; His presence abolishes them. The old dominion is broken. The life that rises with Him is governed by the Spirit, set free from condemnation, and bound up with His own resurrection power.

That is the victory you are praying into that apartment situation. It is not just a stable rental; it is an arena where God wants to reveal His greatness. The real breakthrough is a soul transferred from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His beloved Son. And when that happens, the former things begin to look different because a new affection is set on things above, where Christ is. The very desires are reordered. The life that once sought its own preservation now gladly hazards everything for the sake of knowing Him.

I join you now in that confidence. Let us pray.

Lord Jesus, we thank You that no one can withstand Your mighty power. You reign over every darkness, and Your light expels all uncleanness. We lift up this ### to You. By Your mercy and grace, open his eyes to see that the life he is trying to save will only slip through his fingers. Draw him past every wall of separation. Bring him to the cross where his old self can be crucified with You and buried, and raise him into the newness of life that only You can give. Let him confess You as Lord, finding salvation and eternal life in Your name. We ask that this rented place become a testimony of Your faithfulness, as those around witness a life transformed, no longer self-ruled but Christ-ruled. Thank You for Your love that will not let go. We pray in the name of Jesus, who is our life. Amen.
