Lifting up our relationship ❤️❤️❤️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the US soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing RMPs into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch RMP's heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my B1/B2 US Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in US, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing and the desires you’ve laid before the Lord, and we join you in seeking His will for this relationship and the future you envision. First, we want to affirm your trust in God’s sovereignty, it is right to surrender your plans, your hopes, and even your deepest desires into His hands. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:9, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps." We pray that His direction would be clear and unmistakable as you and ### navigate this season together.

However, we must also speak truth with love, as Scripture calls us to do. Your prayer reflects a deep emotional investment in this relationship, and while it is natural to desire companionship and love, we must examine whether this connection aligns with God’s design for marriage and relationships. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and it is meant to reflect Christ’s relationship with His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). As you seek a spouse, we encourage you to prayerfully consider whether ### shares your faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" If ### is not a believer, we urge you to proceed with caution, as a relationship built on anything other than shared faith in Christ will face challenges that even love cannot overcome.

We also want to gently address the nature of your current connection. You mention a "romance" and a desire for ### to declare his love for you, but we must ask: Are you and ### currently in a courtship with the intention of marriage, or is this relationship moving forward without the commitment and accountability that God’s Word calls for? The Bible warns against emotional entanglements that lead to sin or distraction from God’s best. 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 says, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to control his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God." If your relationship involves physical or emotional intimacy outside of marriage, we must rebuke that in Jesus’ name and encourage you to seek purity and holiness in all your interactions.

Your desire for ### to be a loving husband and stepfather to your boys is beautiful and reflects the heart of a godly woman. However, we must also remind you that a man’s role as a provider and leader in the home is not just about financial stability but about spiritual leadership. Ephesians 5:25-28 tells husbands, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect. Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies." Does ### demonstrate a heart for God’s Word and a desire to lead your family spiritually? If not, we must ask whether this relationship is truly aligned with God’s will for your life and the lives of your children.

Regarding your visa application, we join you in praying for God’s favor and guidance. Psalm 37:5 reminds us, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this." We pray that every detail of your application would be ordered by the Lord and that He would grant you peace as you wait. However, we must also caution against placing your hope solely in the outcome of this visa or in the relationship itself. Our ultimate hope must always be in Christ. Jeremiah 17:5-7 warns, "Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, whose heart departs from the Lord. For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see when good comes... Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose confidence is in the Lord." Let your trust in God be greater than your trust in any earthly relationship or plan.

We also want to address the absence of any mention of how ### is seeking the Lord in this relationship. Is he praying with you? Is he seeking God’s will for your future together? A relationship that honors God must be built on mutual submission to His Word and His Spirit. If ### is not actively pursuing the Lord, we must ask whether this relationship is truly of God or simply a desire of your own heart. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Are you both seeking His direction, or are you moving forward based on feelings and circumstances?

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will above all else. Lord, we lift up this relationship and ask that You would reveal Your perfect plan for [the person who wrote this prayer] and ###. Father, if this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, we ask that You would close the door and redirect their steps. If it is Your will for them to be together, we pray that You would prepare both of their hearts, drawing them closer to You and to one another in a way that honors You.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their hearts from any impurity or emotional entanglement that does not align with Your design for marriage. Give them the strength to pursue holiness and purity in all their interactions. Father, we pray for ###, that You would soften his heart to Your Word and Your will. If he does not know You as Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself. If he is already a believer, we pray that You would grow him into the godly man You have called him to be, a man who leads with love, integrity, and a heart for Your truth.

Father, we also lift up the visa application process. We ask that You would grant wisdom, favor, and peace as [the person who wrote this prayer] prepares the necessary documents. Remove any obstacles or anxieties, and let Your will be done in this matter. Whether the visa is approved or not, we pray that You would use this season to draw [the person who wrote this prayer] closer to You and to teach her to trust in Your timing and Your plans.

Lord, we ask that You would protect [the person who wrote this prayer] and her boys from any harm, spiritually, emotionally, or physically. Surround them with Your angels and fill their hearts with Your peace. Help her to place her hope in You alone, knowing that You are her Provider, her Protector, and her Guide.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas of this relationship that do not align with Your Word. Give [the person who wrote this prayer] the courage to walk away if this connection is not of You. Help her to trust that Your plans for her are good, even when they are different from her own desires.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You and the only name by which we can be saved. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

We’re grateful you’ve invited us to pray with you, thank you for trusting us with something so close to your heart. It’s clear how deeply you’re hoping for good things in this new connection, and we’re glad to stand with you as you seek God’s will.

Because you mentioned both your boys and the possibility of a blended family, we want to gently offer something we’ve seen make a real difference for couples in similar situations. Early on, it helps to invest time, unhurried, patient time, getting to know not just the romance but the everyday realities you’d share: how you both handle stress, what your parenting philosophies are, how you’ve navigated loss or disappointment, and what faith looks like for each of you day to day. Families bring histories and patterns that don’t disappear when two people fall in love; talking openly about those things now builds a steady foundation, whether God leads toward marriage or in another direction. You don’t have to rush that process, even with visas and plans in view.

We also just want to encourage you: your desire for a provider, a partner, and a united home is not lost on God. He sees your boys, your longings, and the miles between you. Keep bringing all of it to Him the way you’re doing, honestly, hopefully, and ready for whatever answer He gives.

Please pray with us:

Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend to You right now. Thank You for the joy of new beginnings and for the ways You’ve already answered prayer in this relationship. We ask for Your clear guidance and wise counsel as these two get to know one another. Guard their hearts, give them patience, and help them build on what is real and lasting. We pray for the visa application, provide help with details, calm any fears, and grant favour where it aligns with Your purposes. For her boys, for his heart, and for a future that honours You, let Your peace rule and Your will be clear. In Your name, Amen.

It is well that you bring your desires before the throne of grace, for the Lord bids us pour out our hearts before Him. But let me entreat you to consider whether you have first been betrothed to the heavenly Bridegroom. The marriage the Scripture exalts is not first the union of man and woman, but the mystical marriage of the Church to Christ. Have you cast yourself upon Jesus for time and eternity? Is your soul wedded to the Lamb who was slain? If that bond is not sure, no earthly tie can bear the weight of your immortal hopes. I must ask: is this ### a man who fears God and has taken Christ as his only Saviour? For there can be no true, blessed marriage where two are not one in the Lord. That is not a matter of sentiment but of obedience. "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers" is a command, not a suggestion. How can two walk together except they be agreed?

You speak much of the future, of visas, visits, and plans for a united family. I would remind you that "ye know not what shall be on the morrow." Counting upon the future with such detail is folly, for our times are in God’s hands. The Lord does not show us the map of our coming days, and it is a mercy. Faith must live upon the present promise, not upon a dream of what may be. Do not set your heart so upon this man’s affection or this journey that you forget: the future which is certain for the believer is that we shall be with Christ, beholding His face in righteousness. All else, even the dearest earthly hope, must bow before that. You plead for a spark, a declaration of love, a perfect fit, but the Lord’s answer may not be what you have written. Are you prepared to kiss the hand that might withhold? To say, "Nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt"?

Consider also what a marriage ought to be: a relationship cemented by mutual love, it is true, but a love that flows from the fountain of Christ’s own self-sacrifice. You long for a husband who provides and a stepfather who loves your boys. Yet the first mark should be a man who leads his household in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, one who will lay down his life for them as Christ did for the Church. You ask the Lord to "shape him." Better to ask whether the Lord has already begun that work of grace in his soul. If not, all your hoping is a building upon sand.

Do not mistake me. It is not wrong to desire marriage, for it is honourable in all. But the desire must be sanctified and the object of it must be chosen in the light of eternity. Lay your deepest dreams at the foot of the cross, and leave them there. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. If this relationship is of Him, it will stand the test of waiting and trial. If it is not, the kindest thing our Father can do is to tear it away lest it become an idol. Trust Him for the visa, trust Him for the future, but trust Him most to do for you "exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think." I pray that you may be so ravished with the love of Christ that every earthly affection finds its proper place. May you be one of those blessed ones called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb, and then, in His time, may He grant you a companion who will help you on the way. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have prayed, and prayer is good, for it shows you seek the Lord’s will. Yet consider carefully what you ask. You entreat God to stir a romantic passion within this man for you, to kindle that spark and make him declare his love, and you lay before the throne of heaven your hopes for a visa, a visit, and a future marriage. I tremble for souls who pray for what may be a snare. For what is this romance you seek? If it is the pure desire that leads a man toward the holy estate of marriage, then let your conduct now be such as befits that end. But if you ask for feelings that belong only within the covenant of marriage, you ask for coals of fire to be placed in your bosom. Marriage itself is honorable and the bed undefiled, but only because it preserves the believer in chastity, guarding that holiness which comes from faith and forbidding the defilement of fornication. Outside of that bond, to nurture romance and deep emotional attachment is to walk on the edge of a pit. You speak of visiting him, what will that visit bring? Your heart already burns with desire for him to see your worth and deem you a perfect fit. But that very desire, untamed by the bounds of a covenant made before God, may lead you into sin. For it is not marriage that is unholy, but the passions that men and women stir up apart from it. And you have children. Will you bring them into a bond that is not yet sanctified by the Lord’s blessing and the public pledge of life-long fidelity?

Do not think I speak harshly without cause. The Apostle bids us follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Holiness is a chaste and orderly life, whether in singleness or in marriage. If you wish for a holy union, then let your conduct now be as a sister, not as a lover, until such time as you enter into that honorable estate. Pray instead that God would test your hearts and prove you, that you both might seek not to please one another or to satisfy the flesh, but to build one another up in the fear of the Lord. Ask that He would make you both worthy of His calling, so that if He wills this union, it might be founded on nothing less than a shared love of Christ. And know that the Lord does not look on the outward appearance or on romantic fervor; He proves the hearts. If this man is not a believer, or if his character is not such as to lead a godly household, flee from this path. Better to be alone with your children in peace than to bring a wolf into the fold wrapped in the sheep’s clothing of affection.

As for the visa and your travel, commit that also to God, but not with demands. The Lord has not promised to grant every plan we conceive, but He has promised that all things work together for good to those who love Him. Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and these other things will be added as He sees fit. Do not put your hope in earthly meetings or in the approval of consuls, but lay up treasure in heaven, where Christ is seated. Let your life be such that even if this man never declares his love, you would not be shaken, because you have set your affection on things above. Be imitators of the saints, who through faith and patience inherit the promises, and do not run ahead of God.

Therefore, let your prayer be not for a spark of romance, but for a pure heart and a right spirit; not for a man to be stirred, but for both of you to be preserved in holiness until the day you might stand together at the altar of the Lord. And until then, live as becomes a daughter of the Most High, sober, chaste, and full of good works, caring for those children God has entrusted to you and showing them the path of life. For what does it profit to gain a husband and lose your own soul, or to lead another into sin? These earthly comforts are a shadow and a dream; only the unseen things are eternal. May the Lord guide your feet into the way of peace and grant you wisdom to discern His will, building your house upon the rock of His word.
