Lifting up our relationship ❤️❤️❤️

You are pouring out your hopes for this relationship, and I hear in that prayer a deep longing for love, security, and a future for your family. Those are good things to bring before the Lord. But let me gently point you toward the one relationship that makes sense of every other. A life-changing, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ is not just the beginning of salvation; it is the daily, breathing center of everything. Before you ask God to shape ###’s heart toward you, ask whether your own heart is fully His. Are you sitting on the throne of your life, or is Christ? The way to true peace is not in getting the visa, the marriage, or the declaration of love, it is surrendering your will entirely to God, even those deepest desires. In that yielding, you find victory, not defeat.

God does not want a ritualistic relationship with you, where you bring Him requests like a list and hope He signs off. He wants you to know Him as a loving Father, to abide in a closeness so real that it changes your countenance. When your relationship with Jesus is the vibrant, first love of your life, it naturally enhances every human relationship. A husband is not meant to be your ultimate provider or the one who completes you; that is the Lord’s role. As you learn submission to Christ, you’ll understand what mutual submission in a future marriage looks like, not a desperate clinging, but a unity of compassion, courtesy, and patience that does not return evil for evil.

Think of what Jesus said about the true bond between believers being deeper even than family ties. That bond can sustain you whether ### ever speaks those words or not. Your security cannot rest on a man’s feelings or a consular officer’s decision. It rests on the One who touched the untouchable and said, “I will.” He is moved with compassion for you right now. So lay your desires before Him, yes, but then release your grip. Stop fighting for your own plan. The wilderness of waiting is not wasted if it teaches you to rely wholly on God’s preservation.
