Lifting up our relationship ❤️❤️❤️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the ### soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ###s into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###'s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my B1/B2 ### Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in ###, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heartfelt prayer and join you in lifting this matter before our Heavenly Father. First, we want to affirm your trust in God’s goodness and your desire to seek His will in this relationship. It is beautiful to see your faith in His guidance and your openness to His timing. However, we must also gently address some areas where your prayer and desires may need realignment with Scripture.

You mention a deep longing for this man to declare his love for you and for the relationship to grow serious, even to the point of marriage. While these desires are natural, we must remember that God’s design for marriage is sacred and must be pursued in a way that honors Him. Scripture tells us, "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). If this relationship is not yet bound by the covenant of marriage, we must encourage you to guard your heart and your purity. Any physical intimacy outside of marriage is fornication and displeases the Lord. We urge you to set boundaries that reflect God’s holiness and to pursue this relationship with the intention of marriage, not merely emotional or physical fulfillment.

You also pray for this man to become a loving partner and stepfather to your boys. While this is a noble desire, we must remind you that God’s plan for your family should align with His Word. A godly marriage is between one man and one woman, and a stepfather’s role is to lead, protect, and disciple his stepchildren in the ways of the Lord. We pray that if this man is indeed God’s choice for you, he will be a man after God’s own heart, committed to loving and raising your boys in the fear and admonition of the Lord. However, we must also caution you to seek God’s will above your own desires. "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4 WEB). True delight in the Lord means surrendering your plans to Him and trusting that His ways are higher than ours.

Your prayer for the visa process is understandable, and we join you in asking God for wisdom and favor. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB). We pray that God will guide every step of this process and grant you peace as you wait on Him. However, we must also remind you that God’s timing may not align with our own. If this relationship is truly of the Lord, He will make a way for you to be together in His perfect timing.

Lastly, we notice that while you close your prayer in Jesus’ name, there is no mention of Christ’s role in your relationship or your future together. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His name that we are saved. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). We encourage you to ensure that this relationship is built on a foundation of faith in Christ. Both you and this man must be committed to following Jesus and growing in Him together. A marriage without Christ at its center is like a house built on sand, it will not stand.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this sister and her desires before You. Lord, we thank You for Your goodness and for the way You have worked in her life. We ask that You would guide her steps and the steps of this man she is pursuing. Father, we pray that You would reveal Your will to them both. If this relationship is not of You, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly. If it is Your will, we pray that You would prepare their hearts for marriage, a union that honors You in every way.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their hearts and minds against temptation. Help them to pursue purity and holiness in their relationship, setting boundaries that reflect Your righteousness. Father, we pray for this man, that You would shape him into a godly leader, a loving husband, and a faithful stepfather. Give him a heart that seeks You above all else, and let him lead this family in Your ways.

We also lift up the visa process to You, Lord. Grant wisdom and favor as she navigates this journey. Remove any obstacles and anxieties, and let Your peace reign in her heart. Father, we trust in Your perfect timing. If it is Your will for her to travel and for this relationship to grow, we ask that You would open the doors. If not, we pray that You would give her the strength to accept Your plan with grace.

Above all, Lord, we pray that this relationship would be centered on You. Let Christ be the foundation of their love, their marriage, and their family. May they grow together in faith, encouraging one another to walk closer with You each day. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this journey. Spend time in prayer and in the Word, allowing God to speak to you about His plans for your life. Surround yourself with godly counsel, and be open to the wisdom of those who can help you discern God’s will. Remember, "The steps of a good man are ordered by Yahweh; He delights in his way" (Psalm 37:23 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will direct your path.

We're glad to be sitting with you in this season of hope and waiting. Reading your words, it's clear how much you long for this connection to blossom into something lasting, love declared, a safe home, a father-figure for your boys, a path cleared through the visa process. That kind of longing can make a heart feel stretched tight, holding both excitement and vulnerability all at once.

Since you mentioned preparing documents for the B1/B2 visa, one concrete step that sometimes helps is keeping a simple checklist of everything needed (appointment confirmations, financial paperwork, travel itinerary) and working through it steadily rather than all at once, so the process doesn't overwhelm you. That administrative care can help quiet some of the daily anxiety while the bigger hopes rest in God's hands.

We also want to gently say: in the early days of a new relationship, especially one that has been mostly long-distance so far, allowing it to unfold slowly, letting him show you over time who he is, not just what you hope he'll become, is a way of guarding both your own heart and your boys' hearts. That's not discouragement; it's stewardship of something precious. You've placed all of this in God's hands, which is the safest place, and He can hold both the outcome and your hopes without any strain.

Father, we join this woman in thanking You for the door You've opened and the hope she feels. Calm her heart where it races ahead, and steady her where uncertainty rises. Give her and this man wisdom as they prepare for her visit and as they navigate the visa process, keep obstacles low and steps clear, and grant favor where You know it serves Your purpose. Above all, keep her rooted in the unshakeable love You already have for her and for her sons. In Jesus' name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear in you a great longing for an earthly union, a husband, a home, and a future bright with affection. Yet I must pause and ask: have you first made certain of your marriage to the Lamb? The true marriage, the one which lasts into eternity, is that sacred betrothal between Christ and His Church. All other loves must flow from that fountain, or they will prove to be broken cisterns. Ponder well: is Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain for sinners, your chief treasure? Does your soul rest in Him alone for salvation? Until that is settled, all talk of a godly marriage is but a dream.

Now, concerning this man. I read your desire that he be shaped into a kind and loving provider, a fit stepfather to your boys. But tell me this: is he now a partaker of the divine nature? Is he born again? I fear many a maiden has ruined her soul by thinking she could lead a man to Christ after marriage when she ought to have fled from an unequal yoke. Remember the apostle’s warning: be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers. If this man does not love the Lord Jesus, then your visit, your romance, your hopes, are a snare. A godly woman marrying an ungodly man is like a living tree bound to a dead post.

If he is indeed a believer, then walk with great caution. The very ardor you crave, a "deep spark" and open declarations of love, can easily become a flame of fleshly passion that defiles the soul. The world sets great store by such tinsel, but true love is revealed not in passionate outpourings but in mutual self-denial, patience, and the fear of God. Let there be no private meetings in that far-off land that would cause you to blush in the day of judgment. Purity before marriage is the only fit preparation for the marriage bed, which is honorable only within that holy estate.

As for the visa and your journey, I bid you lay all that upon the altar. The Lord is not a fortune-teller to be consulted about travel documents and consular favor; He is the King to be obeyed. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. If your heart is set more upon this man and this visit than upon the advancement of Christ’s glory, you are making an idol of a creature. The answer to your prayer for the visa may be "No" for the truest good of your soul. Will you kiss the hand that withholds?

Let me press you further. The desire for a husband to care for you and your boys is natural, but beware of making it into a god. I have seen many a widow or lone mother rush into an ill-advised match, thinking only of a provider, and found herself yoked to a son of Belial. Better to trust the living God to be a Father to the fatherless than to entrust those tender lambs to a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Examine this man not by his charms but by his character: does he live by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God? Does he love the Lord’s people, the Lord’s day, the Lord’s house? Is he acquainted with secret prayer?

My soul yearns for your true happiness, and that is found only in walking in the way everlasting. Cast yourself upon Christ. Let your deepest petition be, "Lord, do what Thou wilt with me; only make me Thine." Then, whether single or married, you will possess a joy that no earthly disappointment can steal. Lay your request before the Lord indeed, but plead most of all that His will be done, for that is the posture of a true daughter of the King. May the Lord guide your feet into the path of peace, and may you one day sit at the marriage supper of the Lamb, where all true loves are perfected in Him.

You speak of this man brought into your life through a video call, and you ask for a spark of romance, for his open declaration of love, for a visa to travel to him, and for a future marriage and blended family. But I see much laying hold of earthly desires and very little of the fear of God mingled with your longing. You pour out a flood of requests for what you want to happen, yet where is the prayer that first seeks whether this connection is pleasing to the Lord? True love does not rush ahead of what seems good to God, but holds even its strongest affections in subjection to His will, as the blessed Paul did when he longed to see the Romans yet made his way prosperous only by the leading of God.

Consider carefully the foundation of this relationship. You speak of romance and a deep spark, of him becoming a provider and stepfather, yet you are not married. You plan visits and a life together before any covenant has been made before the Lord. This is to set the cart before the horse. Marriage alone is the honorable estate where a man and woman may dwell together and where the intimacies of love properly belong. To seek such connection, to nurture romantic feeling, and to build future dreams upon a man who has not pledged himself to you in holy matrimony is to walk in a path not ordained by God. You ask the Lord to shape him into a husband and stepfather, but have you first asked whether God would have you bound to him at all?

Be not thoughtful about your interests and plans as though you must arrange them yourself. Leave them to God. If you take them in your own hands, clutching at the visa approval, the declaration of love, the marriage petition, you may let go the greater things. Make your first prayer not for the granting of these desires but for the wisdom to know whether they are God's desires for you. Entrust yourself to His governing hand as clay to the potter, and follow wherever He leads, even if it means this door closes. Our Lord desires not that we gain what we crave, but that we learn to crave what He wills. If this relationship is not according to His law, then no amount of prayer will sanctify it, and to persist is not love but self-will pretending to be faith.

Thank you for sharing your heart and laying these desires before the Lord. It is clear you are trusting His guidance, and that is the right place to be. When we bring our hopes to God, He hears us and He cares about every detail, every longing for companionship, every concern for your children, every step in a visa process.

In your prayer, you asked God to shape this man into a provider, someone kind and loving, ready to be a husband and a father to your boys. That reminds me of the way Scripture presents the family redeemer. Men like Boaz stepped in with honor, took responsibility for a household, and provided a future for those who were vulnerable. That is a noble picture, and I encourage you not to lower that standard. A godly marriage is a covenant, a compound unity where two become one. It is not built on fleeting feelings but on a lifelong commitment that mirrors Christ’s love for His church. Keep asking God to show you whether this man is being formed into that kind of person.

At the same time, remember that the deepest and most unshakable bond we can experience on this earth is the one we share in the family of God. Jesus Himself taught that those who do the will of the Father are His mother and brothers. In Him, we are knit together by something even more enduring than natural bloodlines. That means your identity and your security do not depend on a romantic relationship. Whether this story unfolds exactly as you hope or takes a different turn, you are already fully loved and fully held in Christ. Let that truth steady your heart.

As you approach the visa application and the planned visit, I think of the determined woman who had suffered for twelve years. Her body was weak, her condition isolated her, yet she pressed through every obstacle just to touch Jesus. She had no guarantee except her faith that He could make a way. Her persistence was met with healing and His personal notice of her. I pray you will have that same holy determination, not just to obtain a visa, but to press into God’s will above all. If this door is from Him, He will handle the obstacles. If it is not, His denial is still protection.

Let this relationship be tested by time and by God’s Word. Don’t hurry what should be built on a firm foundation. Pray for him, yes, but also watch his life. A man who loves the Lord will show it in how he speaks, how he treats others, and how he carries responsibility. And as you pray for your boys, ask the Lord to give them eyes to see what a father’s love should look like, so they are not merely gaining a stepdad but a living example of godly care.

Above all, rest in the companionship of the body of Christ. You have a family of believers who can uphold you, counsel you, and pray alongside you. Lean into that deeper bond, and let His peace rule in your heart while you wait.
