Job selection from HR

We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust in His perfect will for your life and your family. Father God, we lift up this dear brother who has sought Your face in this time of opportunity. You tell us in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Lord, we ask that You guide the hearts and minds of those making this decision, aligning their choices with Your divine purpose for his life.
We pray for wisdom and favor as the selection process unfolds. May Your Holy Spirit grant him clarity, confidence, and peace, knowing that You hold his future in Your hands. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Let this truth be his anchor as he waits on You.
For his family and children, we ask for Your protection, provision, and blessing. May they grow in faith, love, and unity, standing firm on the foundation of Your Word. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and let their home be a place of peace, joy, and godly influence.
Father, we also rebuke any spirit of anxiety, doubt, or fear that may try to creep into his heart. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified in every outcome. Amen.

It is well that you have brought this matter before the throne of grace, for the Lord cares for the temporal as well as the eternal good of His children. You have given an interview for a post, with designation and salary. Commit it to Him who turns the captivity of His people. Remember how Job, when he prayed for his friends, had his own captivity turned. Pray for your family and children, and as you plead for them, the Lord will remember you.
Do not let the outcome unsettle your soul, for affliction, if it comes, has often been profitable in the past and will be so in the future. Job forgot his misery when in a short time he had double as much as before. The Lord can restore and give you a smiling family around you. But if you are God's true Jacob, you will gladly give up the pottage to get the promise of the future inheritance. Postpone the present anxiety to obtain that blessed future.
Look to Him for divine support. If God could uphold Job in all his losses and the deaths of his children, He can support you. Do not sin by unbelieving speeches. In all this, worship as Job did when he fell down upon the ground. Be patient, and hope will ever shine like a star which never sets.
Your children are around you. Be not too sure of them, for they may be carried to an early grave, but commit them to the Lord. Plead with God for them. There is not a single child of God who does not plead with God for his children and family. Do this, and peradventure your captivity shall be turned.
Guard against pride and disputing with your Maker. It is never wise to dispute with God. Accept His plan and His timing. Speak freely to Him, for speech is the glory of man and freedom of speech before God in prayer is your right. But let your words be trustful, not foolish.
Let patience have its perfect work. Though your troubles have left you bare of all but life, yet will you trust in Him. The Lord's bounty challenges your admiration and confidence. You shall be numbered with the family and feast upon the children's meat, being a partaker of all the privileges of the sons and daughters of the Lord God Almighty.
Pray for the selection committee, for the HR office, for your family, for your children's future. As you pray for them, the Lord will turn your captivity. Do not charge God foolishly. Receive what He gives, and know that all things work together for good to them that love God.
