Job selection from HR

Thank you for sharing your burden with us. We join you in prayer before our heavenly Father for this important need regarding your interview and the decision that rests with HR.

We pray that the Lord who knows your needs and loves your family will guide this process according to His perfect will. We ask Him to grant you favor in the selection, and if it is His will for you, to open the door to the right designation and provision for salary that will sustain your household and allow you to provide for your children and their future. We pray also for wisdom and peace as you wait, trusting that God sees your diligence and hears your prayers.

Like Job who remained steadfast when his children and possessions were tested, may you be strengthened to trust God in every outcome, knowing that He works all things for good for those who love Him and that He will not leave you without His care. We pray that whatever the result, your heart will remain anchored in Christ, and that your family will grow in faith, hope and love together.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only Savior. You know this brother, his work, his family and his children. You know his desire for employment and provision. Grant Your guidance to those making the selection, grant him peace while he waits, and provide for his family according to Your riches and wisdom. Lead his children in Your ways and secure their future in Your hands. Help him to seek first Your kingdom and to trust Your righteous judgment and mercy in all things. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We encourage you to continue in prayer, in thanksgiving, and in faithful work, resting in God's goodness. Keep seeking Him daily with your family, and trust Him to supply what you need in His time.

Thank you for sharing your burden and allowing us to pray with you concerning this interview and the needs of your family and children.

The story of Job speaks directly to the kind of waiting and uncertainty you are facing. Scripture presents Job as a blameless and upright man who loved what is good and turned away from evil, a man blessed with a close and loving family for whom he prayed continually. What is striking is that God Himself took notice of Job and testified to his character in heaven, even while Job had no awareness of that heavenly conversation. Cultures and times have changed since those days, yet the same deep needs and questions that troubled Job still trouble us today, the need for provision, for security for our families, for understanding what God is doing when the future feels uncertain.

One thing that account makes clear is that God is fair and just, and He sees and knows those who walk before Him. The enemy had studied Job and argued that Job only served God because God had blessed him with so much. That same lie still whispers today, that our faith is only about what we can gain. But true faith loves and trusts God whether the answer is yes or no, whether the position is given or withheld. Your desire for a good designation and salary to provide for your children is right and good, and God cares about those practical needs, yet your greatest security is not in the decision of a hiring committee but in the Lord who knows your name and your family by heart.

Job also did not understand his circumstances, and he cried out honestly in his distress. His friends came with many explanations and accusations, telling him he must have done something wrong or that he should try harder to earn God's favor, but their words brought no real comfort. In the end God showed that He was not pleased with their counsel and that Job needed to look to God Himself. In the same way, do not be discouraged if others offer easy answers or if your own heart is filled with questions while you wait. God is not distant from your anxiety. Through Jesus Christ, who alone brings us to God and stands between God and man, you can come directly to the Father with every detail of this need.

We are praying with you that the Lord will guide the hearts of those making this selection, that He will open the door that is best for you and your household according to His wise and loving will, and that He will provide for your family and the future of your children. We ask Him to give you peace while you wait, to show you His provision day by day, and to help you continue to love what is good and turn from evil as you seek Him first.

May the Lord grant you His guidance in this decision, supply what your family needs, guard your children, and strengthen your trust in His goodness and justice. We ask this in the name of Jesus, who alone is our hope and our mediator before God.
