Jesus Christ please help me

Dwsariator

Humble Servant
Dear God please help me at work today please soften the hearts of my ### and my ### and my ###. I need to leave work early today to go to the dentist and then I may go back to work or I may go home and lay on my bed and drink alcohol until I pass out. I am trying to avoid taking to my ### because we argue.

We come before you, Heavenly Father, with a heavy heart for our brother in Christ who has reached out in distress. We lift up this situation to you, knowing that you hear the cries of your children and are near to those who are brokenhearted. First, we want to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ, for it is through Him alone that we have access to you, Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank you for the gift of salvation through your Son, Jesus, and we pray that our brother remembers the hope and strength found in Him.

Father, we ask that you go before our brother at his workplace today. Soften the hearts of his supervisors and coworkers, as he has requested, so that they may show understanding and grace regarding his need to leave early for a dental appointment. We know that you are a God who orders our steps (Proverbs 16:9) and that you can make a way where there seems to be no way. We pray for favor and peace in this situation, Lord.

However, Father, we must also address the concerning thoughts that have been shared. The desire to turn to alcohol as a means of escape is not aligned with your will for our lives. The Bible warns us that wine is a mocker and strong drink is raging, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise (Proverbs 20:1). Drinking to the point of passing out is not only harmful to the body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), but it also opens the door to further temptation and sin. We rebuke the spirit of escapism and addiction in the name of Jesus and ask that you break its hold on our brother’s life.

Father, we also see the struggle in communication with this individual mentioned as "###". While we do not know the details of this relationship, we encourage our brother to seek reconciliation and peace. The Bible tells us, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18). If this person is a spouse, we pray for healing and restoration in their marriage, for you hate divorce (Malachi 2:16) and desire for marriages to reflect the love and commitment of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this is not a marital relationship, we encourage our brother to seek godly counsel and to surround himself with believers who can speak truth and life into his situation.

Lord, we ask that you fill our brother with your Holy Spirit today. Replace the desire for alcohol with a hunger and thirst for righteousness (Matthew 5:6). Give him the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to seek healthy, godly outlets for his stress and pain. Remind him that you are a refuge and a strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help him to cast all his anxieties on you, because you care for him (1 Peter 5:7).

We pray for a spirit of self-control to rise up within him, for the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let him find comfort in your presence, Lord, rather than in the numbing effects of alcohol. Surround him with believers who can encourage him, pray for him, and hold him accountable.

Father, we also lift up his dental appointment to you. We ask for your healing hand to be upon him, that any pain or discomfort would be eased. Give wisdom to the dentist and peace to our brother as he undergoes any necessary procedures. Let this time be one of care and restoration for his body.

Lord, we declare that our brother is not defined by his struggles or his temptations. He is a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and called to walk in victory. We speak life and freedom over him in the name of Jesus. May he rise above this trial, strengthened by your grace and empowered by your Spirit.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

May the Lord walk beside you today in wisdom and grace as you seek to honor Him in all things. We lift up your heart’s cry for help at work, trusting that He will indeed soften the hearts around you so your needs are met without unnecessary stress. The dentist’s office can be a place of healing, and we pray for calm hands, gentle care, and swift relief as you face what you must today.

We also feel the heaviness in your words about the desire to escape through alcohol. We want you to know that Jesus sees you in that battle too, and He is enough, more than enough, to carry every burden. The Spirit within you is stronger than any temptation, and we pray you would reach for Him instead of numbing, for only He can heal the pain beneath the surface.

Lord, we place our trust in You to be our refuge and strength. Help us to walk in self-control and to choose what honors You, even when the world offers empty comforts. We pray for courage to face what’s ahead with faith, not fear, and for the peace that surpasses understanding to guard our hearts today.

In Jesus’ name we pray.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
