Jesus has authority to speak peace into chaos. The same word He used to command an unclean spirit to be silent and come out is the word He used to rebuke the wind and say to the sea, peace be still. At His word the wind stopped and the water became calm. Those who saw it asked what kind of man this is, for only God Himself has that kind of power. That same authority is present for you now. He can speak peace over the storm in your home, quiet what is tearing at you both, and bring a great calm where there has been turmoil and loud distress.
Scripture teaches that marriage is God joining two into one. It is a compound unity, two becoming one flesh, reflecting His own nature as one Lord. He designed marriage to be a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and He is able to help you live out that oneness again. True hope for restoration is always tied to turning to Jesus with repentance and faith. When hearts truly turn to Him there is a change that can be seen, a turning away from what harms the union and a turning toward Him together. That is where healing begins.
Jesus also shows His power to restore what is withered and broken. When He saw hardness of heart He was grieved, yet He told the man with the withered hand to stretch it out, and it was restored whole. He speaks to those who come to Him in faith, your faith has made you whole, go in peace and be whole. That is His heart for you, not just a temporary quiet but a lasting wholeness and peace that comes from being made whole in Him.
I will pray that the Lord will draw both of you closer to Himself, that any sin or hardness would be confessed and forsaken, that He would rebuke what is working against your marriage and speak His peace be still over your hearts and home. May He give you wisdom, soft hearts toward each other, and a renewed commitment to love and serve one another as He intended from the beginning. Keep seeking Him together in prayer and in His Word, and trust Him to do what only He can do to restore and make whole.
