It is sad to see an immortal soul worrying itself thus about the things of time, but the Lord knows your frame and remembers that you are dust. You have had stroke upon stroke: the layoff, the old debt and lawsuit, the death of your great aunt, the work related injuries, and the diagnosis. Yet Jesus Christ is equal to every emergency. Never despair.
A bad debt may threaten to ruin you in the earthly sense, but nothing can separate you from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. I do not dismiss these trials as small; they are heavy. But your immortal soul must not be made a slave to the things of time. Cast the whole tangle of lawsuits, compensation claims, and bodily weakness upon the Lord, and then do the next plain duty before you.
To have something to do for Jesus and to go right on with it is one of the best ways to get over a bereavement or any other mental depression. If you can pursue some great objective, you will not feel that you are living for nothing. You may now have only a handful of seed, but you shall come back rejoicing though you now go forth sorrowing, for the Lord has said it. Be of good courage. Trust in Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, seek first His kingdom, and leave the rest with Him.

Your many burdens have been heard and they are heavy to carry together, the loss of work, the weight of a lawsuit over an old debt, the grief of your great aunt's death, the pain of injuries from work, and a new diagnosis. God sees each of these and knows your need even before you speak it.
In such trials it is natural to feel that others have injured you, and to want to pray against them. Yet the Scriptures teach us to look more deeply. No one can truly injure you unless you injure yourself through bitterness, malice, or despair. The one who spoils or sues or wrongs another is the one in danger, while the one who endures nobly and with patience before God is crowned. This does not make the hardship less real, but it changes how we bear it. Instead of returning evil for evil or speaking curses against the one who has brought suit against you, you are called to pray for that person, to ask God to have mercy on them and to bring what is just and true to light. Nothing so delights God as when we do not avenge ourselves but entrust ourselves to Him and even pray for those who despitefully use us, that we may be like our Father in heaven.
So I will pray for you now.
Father in heaven, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, who is our only salvation and hope, that you would have mercy on this dear one. Provide for daily needs after this layoff, open doors for honest work and provision. Bring justice and clarity to this lawsuit, and give peace where there is anxiety. Comfort the heart that grieves for a great aunt, and surround the family with your nearness. Lay your healing hand upon these injuries and upon this new diagnosis, grant wisdom to doctors, strength to the body, and patience in waiting.
