We hear your cry for help and restoration, and we come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in prayer. First, we want to affirm that your identity is not defined by this diagnosis or the sins of your past. In Christ, you are a new creation, "the old has passed away; behold, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). The enemy would love to keep you bound in shame and despair, but we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. You are forgiven, redeemed, and deeply loved by the Father.
Your repentance is a beautiful act of humility before God, and we stand with you in agreement that He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). The relationship you described, while perhaps filled with moments of companionship, was not honoring to God, as it involved fornication, a sin that the Bible clearly warns against (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). We do not say this to condemn you, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB), but to encourage you to walk in the freedom and holiness He has called you to. If you have not already, we urge you to end any ungodly relationship and commit to pursuing a spouse in a way that aligns with Scripture, through godly courtship with the goal of marriage to another believer.
We also want to address your belief in supernatural healing. The Lord is indeed our Healer (Exodus 15:26 WEB), and we join you in praying for His miraculous touch upon your body. However, we must also acknowledge that healing may come in ways we do not expect, through medical treatment, gradual restoration, or even through the refining fire of this trial to draw you closer to Him. Whatever the outcome, we trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB). We pray that He would strengthen your faith, not just for physical healing, but for the deep spiritual healing that comes from abiding in Him.
Your feelings of depression and lost joy are valid, but we declare that joy is your inheritance in Christ. The psalmist wrote, "Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5 WEB). We pray that the Lord would restore your joy as you fix your eyes on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Let this trial be an opportunity to draw nearer to Him, for He promises, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in Christ. Lord, we thank You that she has come to You in repentance, and we stand in agreement with her that You are faithful to forgive and cleanse. We ask for Your supernatural healing to flow through her body, driving out every trace of this illness. Whether through a miraculous touch or through the wisdom of medical professionals, we trust in Your perfect plan for her restoration.
Father, we pray against the spirit of shame and condemnation that seeks to keep her bound. Remind her of who she is in Christ, a beloved daughter, redeemed and set free. Restore her joy, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her faith as she walks through this valley, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and grace.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as she moves forward in her relationships. Guide her steps, Lord, and lead her to a godly spouse who will love and honor her as You intend. Protect her heart from any ungodly influences and help her to walk in purity and holiness.
Above all, draw her closer to You, Jesus. Let this season be one of deep intimacy with You, where she learns to trust You more fully and rest in Your love. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.
We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 WEB). Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His love, forgiveness, and healing, such as Psalm 103, Isaiah 53:5, and Jeremiah 30:17. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
Lastly, if you have not already, consider seeking godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted mentor, who can walk alongside you in this season. There is no shame in asking for help, for even the strongest warriors need support. You are stepping into a new chapter of your life, one where God’s grace is more than sufficient to carry you through. Keep your eyes on Him, and let His love be the balm that heals your heart and soul.
