Beloved of All
hi, Not to go into details but I have sinned and strayed away from God. I was in a relationship with a man off and on for two years and was recently diagnosed with ###. I believe in the power of prayer and super natural healing. I’m trying to be strong but I have lost my joy and feel beyond depressed. I have asked the Lord for forgiveness and I need healing. Please pray that he heels me. This is not who I am. I do not want a scarlet letter reminding me of my sin.

We hear your cry for help and restoration, and we come before the throne of grace together, lifting you up in prayer. First, we want to affirm that your identity is not defined by this diagnosis or the sins of your past. In Christ, you are a new creation, "the old has passed away; behold, the new has come" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). The enemy would love to keep you bound in shame and despair, but we rebuke those lies in the name of Jesus. You are forgiven, redeemed, and deeply loved by the Father.

Your repentance is a beautiful act of humility before God, and we stand with you in agreement that He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). The relationship you described, while perhaps filled with moments of companionship, was not honoring to God, as it involved fornication, a sin that the Bible clearly warns against (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). We do not say this to condemn you, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1 WEB), but to encourage you to walk in the freedom and holiness He has called you to. If you have not already, we urge you to end any ungodly relationship and commit to pursuing a spouse in a way that aligns with Scripture, through godly courtship with the goal of marriage to another believer.

We also want to address your belief in supernatural healing. The Lord is indeed our Healer (Exodus 15:26 WEB), and we join you in praying for His miraculous touch upon your body. However, we must also acknowledge that healing may come in ways we do not expect, through medical treatment, gradual restoration, or even through the refining fire of this trial to draw you closer to Him. Whatever the outcome, we trust that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB). We pray that He would strengthen your faith, not just for physical healing, but for the deep spiritual healing that comes from abiding in Him.

Your feelings of depression and lost joy are valid, but we declare that joy is your inheritance in Christ. The psalmist wrote, "Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning" (Psalm 30:5 WEB). We pray that the Lord would restore your joy as you fix your eyes on Him, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB). Let this trial be an opportunity to draw nearer to Him, for He promises, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you" (James 4:8 WEB).

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our sister in Christ. Lord, we thank You that she has come to You in repentance, and we stand in agreement with her that You are faithful to forgive and cleanse. We ask for Your supernatural healing to flow through her body, driving out every trace of this illness. Whether through a miraculous touch or through the wisdom of medical professionals, we trust in Your perfect plan for her restoration.

Father, we pray against the spirit of shame and condemnation that seeks to keep her bound. Remind her of who she is in Christ, a beloved daughter, redeemed and set free. Restore her joy, Lord, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Strengthen her faith as she walks through this valley, and let her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and grace.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment as she moves forward in her relationships. Guide her steps, Lord, and lead her to a godly spouse who will love and honor her as You intend. Protect her heart from any ungodly influences and help her to walk in purity and holiness.

Above all, draw her closer to You, Jesus. Let this season be one of deep intimacy with You, where she learns to trust You more fully and rest in Your love. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.

We encourage you to immerse yourself in God’s Word, for it is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12 WEB). Meditate on Scriptures that speak of His love, forgiveness, and healing, such as Psalm 103, Isaiah 53:5, and Jeremiah 30:17. Surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your strength, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).

Lastly, if you have not already, consider seeking godly counsel, whether through a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted mentor, who can walk alongside you in this season. There is no shame in asking for help, for even the strongest warriors need support. You are stepping into a new chapter of your life, one where God’s grace is more than sufficient to carry you through. Keep your eyes on Him, and let His love be the balm that heals your heart and soul.

We grieve with you that an unexpected diagnosis has brought so much heaviness and taken the joy you once had. The shock, the sadness, and the fear of being permanently marked are real, and we don’t want to minimize any of that. Right now, you’re not just dealing with a physical reality but also with the ache of knowing you strayed, and that weight can feel like a scarlet letter you never wanted to wear. Please hear this gently: that diagnosis is not a permanent verdict on who you are, nor does it cancel the forgiveness you have already asked for and received. When you confessed, God did what he always does, he cleansed you, and he is not holding your sin up to shame you now. The letter that matters most is Christ’s own claim on you, written in mercy.

Your desire for supernatural healing is something we fully bring before the Lord with you. In the meantime, consider reaching out to a medical professional for support with the physical side of things. That’s not a lack of faith; it’s practical stewardship of your body, and it can run alongside our prayers. For the deep depression and lost joy, it may also help to sit down with a wise Christian counselor or a trusted, mature friend at church, someone who can walk with you through the emotional aftermath without judgment, reminding you that you are still loved and still held.

We are praying with you now.

Lord Jesus, we ask for your healing touch on this precious woman. Quiet the shame that keeps replaying the past, and lift the cloud of depression that has stolen her joy. We ask you to restore her body completely, according to your will, and to fill her heart with the peace that surpasses understanding. Help her to see herself as you see her: forgiven, beloved, and free. In your name we pray, amen.

The Lord has sent this word to you this very hour: “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” Before you think another thought of your own unworthiness, let this sweep into your soul: there is forgiveness. Not for this or that class of sinner only, but forgiveness, full, broad, without limit, for you. The Hebrew carries no tense, it is forgiveness always present with Him. Where the offense went, from that very place the forgiveness comes. Do not draw any boundary where God draws none. Though all men hissed at you, it is not their forgiveness you need to enter heaven; it is His, and He delights to give it.

You say you have asked the Lord for forgiveness. Believe then that you have it, for “the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.” He never plays fast and loose with souls. When the paralytic lay before Christ, hoping and expecting, the first word was not “be healed,” but “thy sins be forgiven thee.” The pardon came before the cure. So it may be with you. The scarlet letter you dread is not His mark; He blots out the handwriting that was against you. This very depression, this sorrow that has broken your joy, may be the couch on which He comes to carry you to His own peace. The least leaf from the Tree of Life is healing. Even the pain you feel now, if it drives you to cling to Christ’s merits alone, is a leaf plucked for your restoration. The lifeblood of your spirit can be changed, the nature made other than it was before.

You are not defined by a past hour of wandering, any more than the sea is defined by a shipwreck upon its floor. Christ forgives in a continuous manner, He does not forgive and afterward accuse. Your sin is cast into the depths. The very One against whom you have offended provides the covering. “There is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.” Do not run from Him; that is where the forgiveness is. The father runs to meet the returning child. It is the joy of His heart to set free those who have been in bondage; it is never hard for the Lord to loose these chains.

For the body, you believe in supernatural healing, and well you may, for He still walks among the candlesticks with healing in His wings. Yet even if the healing tarries, know this: salvation puts a new sun in your sky and a new joy in your heart, quite apart from the condition of your mortal frame. Joy is the fruit of the Spirit from the root of trust in God. You have lost your joy because you are looking at the sin and the consequence instead of the completed work of Jesus. Look there. The debt is cancelled. We have in Him a full forgiveness. Let that whisper drive away despair. “There is forgiveness.” Enter into the certainty of it, and whether the leaves of healing for the body fall gently or not yet, your spirit shall shout for joy, and you shall know the quintessence of happiness even in this valley of tears.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have done well to ask the Lord for forgiveness and to seek healing. Do not despair. Even when we sin every day, we have many motives and good hopes to approach God, entreating and asking pardon. The one who refuses even to know that he has sinned cannot know the greatness of the benefit. But you have confessed, so learn to be grateful toward your Benefactor.

The affliction that has come upon your body is fearful, but sin often overflows and attacks the body as well as the soul. Since when the soul is diseased we feel no pain, God in mercy sometimes chastises the body for the transgressions of the soul, so that by the scourging of the inferior part the better part may receive healing. This is no scarlet letter of shame, but a merciful call: "Sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee." The real disaster is not this temporary ailment, but the ruin of the soul if sin remains unhealed.

Do not imagine that this diagnosis defines you. The harlots did not enter the Kingdom continuing their sin; they believed, were purified, converted. So it is with you. The righteousness of the Law is fulfilled in those who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit. Christ has condemned sin in the flesh, so that you might live in newness of life. Your true identity is hidden with Christ, not marked by past transgression.

You say you have lost your joy and feel beyond depressed. Remember, the Bridegroom's voice rejoices over the Church, and faith comes by hearing the word of God. Draw near to Him, listen to His teaching, and your joy will be restored. Do not let your hands slacken or become faint. You have not yet resisted unto blood striving against sin, but stand firm. If we daily entreat Him for forgiveness, we shall be more backward to sin for the time to come, and we drive away the devil.

Therefore, do not despair. Continue to entreat, beseech, ask forgiveness. The physical suffering may remain, but it can become medicine for the soul, a constant reminder to cling to Christ and not to the lusts that lead to death. And if it be His will, He will heal even your body. But whether He does or not, set your hope entirely on the grace to come at the revelation of Jesus Christ. He who began a good work in you will complete it until that Day.
