LORD, we ask for The Holy Spirit to speak to us in every way by abiding in You and Your Words abiding in us, John 15:7, abiding in Your love, John 15:10, Your Word as a lamp to our feet, and a light unto our path, Ps 119:105, To speak according to the Law and The Testimony, Isaiah 8:20, Holy Spirit Visions while Awake ️ Dreams While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Num 12:6, Acts 16:9... Father, we come as little children in faith, asking the goal of our instruction, Love from a pure heart, a sincere faith and a blameless conscience, 1 Tim 1:5. We look to You and Your Word, Isaiah 8:20, rather than to all we see and hear from the noise and pollution of the world, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We agree, Matt 18:19, with this husband for himself, his wayward wife, children, family, extended family, ***Prayer & ministry partners, church leaders, churches and team members -- You speak to us by any and every ordinary and extraordinary means: give warning dreams, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham you warned Abimelech to keep him from death, Gen 20:3.

Like Abraham, we are imperfect but growing, and we believe Your promises, in fact we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21, granting us everything we need for both life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3-4. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on these named above, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Joseph, Matt 1:20, Magi, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Abimelech, Gen 20:3, Laban to remain neutral regarding Jacob, Gen 31:24, Nebuchadnezzar, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things and no purpose of Yours can be thwarted,"Job 42:2 We agree with John, that light is stronger than darkness and not able to overcome it, John 1:5. We agree that "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, us and our churches, families, friends, pastors and government leaders from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. With thanksgiving we let our requests be made known and claim Your incomprehensible peace as promised, Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, The Amen, and Faithful Witness, Rev 3:14, in Jesus ALL Your promises are Yes, and therefore we say, Amen, 2 Cor 1:20...

We join with you in this earnest plea for the Holy Spirit to open understanding and to speak clearly to this husband, to his wayward wife, to their children and family, and to all who stand with them in prayer and ministry.

We love your heart to seek the Lord as little children and to desire that His Word abide in you. You have asked rightly that the Lord open the mind to understand the Scriptures, for it is written Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures Luke 24:45. We agree that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ Romans 10:17, and that Your word is a lamp to our feet, and a light for our path Psalm 119:105. We affirm with you that we must speak according to the law and the testimony Isaiah 8:20, and that any dream, vision, prophecy, or counsel must be tested against that sure Word, for it is written Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good 1 Thess 5:21 and Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God 1 John 4:1.

We thank God that you have come through Jesus, for it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We rejoice that He is able also to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them Heb 7:25 and that Christ Jesus is he who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us Romans 8:34.

We stand in agreement with this husband for the restoration of his marriage. We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, for what therefore God has joined together, do not let man tear apart Matthew 19:6. A wayward wife who has departed from her vows is in need of repentance and mercy, for the marriage bed is to be honored and kept undefiled, and God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers Heb 13:4. If there has been fornication or adultery, we lovingly rebuke that sin and call for turning from it, for such sin separates from God and wounds the family. We pray that she would be convicted, humbled, and restored, and that this husband would continue to love his wife even as Christ also loved the assembly and gave himself up for it Eph 5:25, forgiving as the Lord forgave, and not seeking divorce except as Scripture permits, but pursuing reconciliation and holiness. We pray also for the children and extended family, that the Lord would guard their hearts from confusion, bitterness, and the pollution of the world, and keep them in His love as they abide in Him and His words abide in them John 15:7 and abide in His love John 15:10.

We bring before the Father your request for ordinary and extraordinary means of His speaking, including dreams and visions. We know that God does speak, now one way, now another, though man does not perceive it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed, then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man Job 33:14-17. We remember how You warned Abimelech in a dream Genesis 20:3 and how You directed Joseph Matthew 1:20 and the wise men Matthew 2:12, and we believe Your arm is not shortened that it cannot save Isaiah 59:1 and that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever Heb 13:8. We ask that if it be Your will, You would pour out Your Spirit as You promised, It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions Joel 2:28, and that You would give warning dreams to turn hearts from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, to preserve them from the pit. Yet we ask above all that You would speak most clearly through Your written Word, by the faithful preaching of the pulpit, by divine appointments and godly counsel, and by the still small voice of Your Spirit aligning every impression with Scripture.

We agree together according to Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven Matthew 18:19. We are fully persuaded, as Abraham was, that what He has promised, He is able also to perform Romans 4:21, for His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness 2 Pet 1:3. We know that You can do all things, and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted Job 42:2, that with God all things are possible Mark 10:27, and that the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it John 1:5.

Father, we pray now together, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, that You would open the eyes and ears of this husband, his wife, their children, their families, their prayer partners, church leaders and churches. Cause them to abide in You, to hunger for Your Word, to walk in a pure heart and sincere faith and blameless conscience 1 Tim 1:5. Draw this wayward wife back to Yourself first, grant her godly sorrow that leads to repentance, cleanse her from all unrighteousness, and restore her love for You and for her husband and children. Heal the wounds in this marriage, remove temptation, sin, deception, lies, fear and the schemes of the evil one. We pray as You taught us, Bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one Matthew 6:13, and we claim Your promise that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thess 3:3. Guard their minds and hearts with Your incomprehensible peace.

We pray In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Phil 4:6-7. We thank You in advance that whatever we ask in prayer, believing, we shall receive Mark 11:24, for without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to Him Heb 11:6. We ask all this in Jesus, the Amen and the Faithful Witness Rev 3:14, for whatever promises of God there are, in Him is the Yes and in Him is the Amen, to the glory of God through us 2 Cor 1:20. We are grateful you shared this longing so openly with us. Wanting the Holy Spirit to make His leading unmistakable for you, your wife, your children and your families, especially when your marriage feels fragile, is a tender and weighty place to be. We hear how much you love your wife and family and how sincerely you want to stay close to Jesus together.

One insight that steadies many in a season like this is that learning to recognize God's voice is more like training than trying. It grows through small, faithful rhythms over time, abiding in prayer, staying in the Word, staying in loving fellowship, rather than in a single dramatic moment. That steady closeness also helps us weigh any strong impression, dream or counsel humbly and carefully with Scripture and with a couple of trusted, mature leaders who know you both, so you are not carrying the discernment alone.

It may help to keep that simple pattern in the weeks ahead, a consistent time with the Lord, and regularly bringing what you sense to your pastor or ministry partners for prayer and wisdom together. You do not have to figure out every step at once.

Father, we bring this husband and his wife and children before You, and their extended families and churches. Draw each one closer to Yourself, guard their hearts from confusion and temptation, and give clear, gentle wisdom for each next step. Bring healing where there is hurt, and help them to hear and follow You with humble confidence. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your longing to abide in Christ and to have His words abide in you is a good and scriptural longing, and we join with you in it. Our Lord has said, If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you, and again, His word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. To speak according to the law and to the testimony is indeed the only safe rule, for God of old divided light from darkness, and He will not have us call light darkness nor darkness light.

We rejoice to see in your prayer a confidence that He is able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He ever lives to make intercession for us. There is none other name given under heaven whereby we must be saved, and apart from that name the wrath of God abides. Faith in the precious blood is the great distinction at the root, and all the graces which spring from faith go to make the righteous more and more separate from the ungodly world. There are no betweenities before God. We are either in Christ or out of Christ, either alive or dead, and we must be found in Him.

You ask that the Holy Spirit would speak by every ordinary and extraordinary means, by warnings and dreams and visions. We do not doubt that God has in times past warned even the ungodly in dreams, as He warned Abimelech and Laban and Nebuchadnezzar, and as He warned Pilate through his wife when she suffered many things in a dream because of the Just One. That warning was most distinct, yet Pilate deliberately condemned the Son of God. A dream alone did not save him. So we would gently urge you, dear soul, to be cured of desiring miracles and voices above the voice of Christ Himself. On the holy mount the voice out of the cloud did but dismay and distract, but the voice of the Beloved cheered and comforted. The Father said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased, hear ye Him. Oh to be content with hearing Christ and letting other voices go into silence. If He is God's Son, hear Him. If the Father is well pleased with Him, and with you in Him, hear Him in the Scriptures day by day. The Scriptures are the more sure word, and when we hear Him there, our fears are cast out.

We agree with you in prayer for yourself, for your wayward wife, for your children and family and extended family, and for those who labor with you in ministry. We pray that God who breaks down everything which sets itself up against Him would in mercy break down pride and sin, and lift up what stands in Him. We pray not that God would bless any path contrary to His word, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and dwelling together belongs within it, but that He would bring conviction of sin, repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and a return to faithfulness within that covenant. May the Lord turn her from wrongdoing and keep her from pride, preserve her from the pit, and bring her with a pure heart and sincere faith and blameless conscience to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

For you who wait and pray, do not fear though you go from waterspout to waterspout. When your soul suffers from the palsy of fear, lay hold upon the Strong One and get strength from Him. Go with the very temptation which returns tomorrow to the Lord, and He will with the temptation make a way of escape. Commit your way unto Him. He has not abolished the mercy seat nor forgotten to be gracious. He says not to the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain. Your cries and groans and tears may yet bring comfort and peace from heaven through the Lamb's redeeming blood.

We will pray that the Lord will keep you and your household, your churches and pastors and all whom you have named, from temptation and evil and deception and from the evil one, and that He will grant you His incomprehensible peace as you make your requests known with thanksgiving. Continue in the Word, continue in prayer, continue in love, and may the joy of the Lord be your strength until He calls you from this world of grief and sin to be forever with Him, where the works of those who die in the Lord do follow them.
