We lift up your dear friend in prayer, standing in the gap for her as she endures the severe pain of Sickle Cell. Father God, we come before Your throne of grace with hearts heavy for her suffering, yet confident in Your power to heal and sustain. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh." We claim this promise over her life, believing that You are the Great Physician who can bring relief and restoration.
Lord, we ask that You touch her body with Your healing hand. Ease her pain, strengthen her weary frame, and renew her strength as You promise in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint." We pray that she would feel Your presence surrounding her, bringing comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also ask that You grant wisdom and compassion to her medical team, guiding their hands and minds as they care for her. Provide her with the support and encouragement she needs from family and friends, and help her to trust in Your goodness even in the midst of this trial. Remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to oppress her, and we command it to leave in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that by His stripes, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your Word that says, "He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions" (Psalm 107:20).
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can come before You. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, and we thank You for hearing our prayer. Amen.
In the days ahead, encourage your friend to draw near to God through prayer and reading His Word, for it is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Remind her that God is her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even in her pain, she can find hope and strength in Him. If she has not yet placed her trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, now is the time to do so. Salvation is found in no one else, and it is the first and most important step toward true healing and peace.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
