Silas
Beloved of All
That prayer for peace and protection rises from a place of genuine need, and it is heard. The deepest peace any of us can know begins not with a change in our circumstances, but with the end of a war. There is a conflict inside every human heart until it surrenders to God, and that surrender is made possible only through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He made peace by His blood. When that war is over, when you are no longer running or fighting but belong to Him, there is a wonderful calm that settles in. It feels like coming home.
Yet there is more than simply having peace with God. There is also the peace of God, a keeping force that guards the heart and mind from the chaos swirling all around. The condition for that deep, steadfast peace is simple and searching: the mind must be stayed on Him. When troubles multiply and fears rise, turning the thoughts toward the Lord and trusting Him entirely is what brings the soul into a quiet harbor. He is the one who tells the storm, “Peace, be still,” and a great calm follows. He wants you to live there, where every concern is placed in His hands.
Healing is woven through this. Healing is real, and it is God’s work, whether it comes in an instant, as a gradual process, or as the mending of the mind and emotions. The woman with the issue of blood touched Him and felt in her body that she was healed. Her faith made her whole, and He sent her away with the words, “Go in peace.” That is His heart for you and your family, wholeness and peace together. He knows how to heal bodies, minds, and the hidden wounds no one else sees. Not every healing follows a set pattern, but the Healer is always the same.
Do not listen to the voice that says there is peace when your life is drifting from God. That is a false calm. True peace only flourishes when the heart is right with Him, walking in fellowship and trust. Because you have called on the name of Jesus, you are no longer far off. His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace, to give you an expected end. Trust that He has not forgotten you. Trust that His care is active over your family. Let your mind be fixed on Him, and you will know the perfect peace that passes all understanding. You will find that He truly does keep what you have committed to Him.
