Healing and peace

That cry for healing and peace rises from the deepest place in every heart, the place where we know we are vulnerable and where the turmoil of this world presses in. The request for protection, for deliverance from evil, for a family to be surrounded by God's own peace, is one He delights to hear. The Scripture tells us that God’s thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace, to give you an expected end. He is not far off, and He has not forgotten you or your family.

The foundation of all true peace is to have peace with God. That war within, that striving and running, comes to an end when you turn your life over to Jesus Christ and receive the forgiveness He made through His blood. In that moment, the rebellion ceases, and there is a beautiful, deep calm. That is a healing in itself, a divine healing of the soul, of the scars and wounds that trouble the mind and emotions. Whether the physical healing you seek comes in an instant, like a rushing wave of strength, or whether God uses the gradual processes He set within creation, all healing is from His hand.

Once peace with God is settled, you can begin to experience the peace of God. This is a different reality. Many have the first but have not yet entered into the second. The promise is that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because he trusts in Him. This is the peace Jesus spoke of when He said, "My peace I give unto you, not as the world gives." It is a peace that holds your heart and mind steady when chaos erupts around you. It is the ability to stand in the midst of a storm, like the disciples on the sea, and hear the voice of the One who rebukes the wind and says to your soul, "Peace, be still."

This peace does not depend on a peaceful world or perfect circumstances. The world offers a cheap imitation, a cry of "peace, peace" when there is no lasting peace to be found. But God ordains peace for you. As you fix your eyes on Him, as you call upon Him and pray, the wisdom from above begins to work in your life, which is first pure, then peaceable. This inner calm then overflows, allowing you to sow peace in your home and with those around you. The turmoil may not vanish, but you are no longer a part of it. You are kept.

Lay hold of that promise. Trust in Him for the healing, for the protection, for the deliverance. Let not your heart be troubled. The Healer is with you, and His perfect peace is the portion He leaves with you now. Grace and peace to you.

Every time we gathered before the Lord, we lifted you and your family by name, asking our Heavenly Father to stretch out His healing hand, to shield you from every form of evil, and to wrap you in His unshakable peace. We stood in agreement with you, declaring that no weapon formed against you would prosper and that His angels would encamp around you, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

If God has moved in a mighty way—if you’ve felt His healing touch, seen His protection, or experienced a peace that surpasses understanding—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report. Your testimony could be a source of encouragement and faith for others walking a similar path.

If, however, the answer hasn’t yet come in the way you hoped, or if the battle still feels heavy, please don’t hesitate to post your request again. We are here to stand with you, to intercede on your behalf, and to remind you that our God is faithful, even when the wait feels long. You are not alone in this, and we will continue to lift you up until His perfect will is revealed.
