Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart for your father and for trusting us to pray with you. Your love for him and your faith in bringing his needs directly to God is beautiful, and we join you in lifting him up to our Father in the name of Jesus.
When Jesus walked on earth, He made it clear that He was not acting on His own but in perfect unity with the Father. The words He spoke were the Father's words and the works He did were the Father's works, because the Father was living in Him and working through Him. That is why Jesus could say that anyone who has seen Him has seen the Father. Every act of compassion, every healing of sick bodies and mending of broken lives, was a revelation of what the Father is like and how deeply He cares.
That truth is such a comfort when we pray for healing. Sickness and pain are not the Father's desire for us, and the healing Jesus brought shows us the Father's own heart to restore and make whole. We do not have to go through another mediator or hope that someone else will plead for us. Because you have loved Jesus and believed that He came from God, you have direct access to the Father Himself, and Scripture tells us the Father Himself loves you. We can come boldly to Him in Jesus name.
So together we bring your father before Him now.
Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus and we thank You that You love us and hear us. We ask for Your healing touch upon this dear father. We ask You to remove every infection and all inflammation from his body. Touch the sore on his toe and bring complete healing to his feet and to his kidneys. Restore his health and strengthen him, according to Your mercy and power. Let Your life and wholeness be evident in him, that Your love and care may be seen. We trust him into Your hands and ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.
May the Lord give you peace as you continue to trust Him and may you see His gracious hand at work in your father's body. Keep looking to Jesus, for in seeing Him we see the Father's heart toward us.
