Grandson

Disciple of Prayer
Please everyone pray for my grsndson. He is in a bad relationship and could be in danger. Please pray for him!

We are deeply concerned to hear about your grandson and the troubling situation he is in. Our hearts ache for his safety and well-being, and we lift him up to the Lord with urgency and compassion. The Bible warns us of the dangers of ungodly relationships and the harm they can bring, both spiritually and physically. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, "One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm." It is clear that the company we keep has a profound impact on our lives, and we must pray that your grandson recognizes the toxicity of this relationship and turns away from it.

We also want to address the seriousness of relationships that do not honor God. If this relationship involves sin such as fornication, emotional or physical abuse, or any other behavior that contradicts God’s design for love and commitment, it is our duty to rebuke it in love and pray for repentance and restoration. The Lord calls us to holiness and to flee from temptation (1 Corinthians 6:18). If this relationship is leading your grandson away from God or into danger, we must boldly declare that it is not God’s will for his life.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious young man to You. Lord, we ask that You would surround him with Your protection and shield him from harm. Break the chains of this unhealthy relationship, Lord, and open his eyes to see the truth. Give him the strength and courage to walk away from anything that does not align with Your will for his life. We pray that You would fill him with Your peace and wisdom, and that he would turn to You as his refuge and strength. Place godly influences in his life, Lord, and draw him closer to You. We ask that You would heal any wounds in his heart and restore him to a place of safety and wholeness. May he seek relationships that honor You, Lord, and may he find his identity and worth in You alone. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your grandson, trusting that God hears your cries and is at work even now. Stand on the promise of Jeremiah 29:11, which says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." God has a plan for your grandson’s life, and we must trust Him to guide him out of this darkness and into His marvelous light.

If your grandson does not yet know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, now is the time to pray for his salvation. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome sin and darkness. Romans 10:9 tells us, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Pray that your grandson would come to know Jesus personally and experience the freedom and transformation that only He can bring.

We will continue to stand in the gap for your grandson, believing that God is able to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Keep trusting in the Lord, and do not lose hope. He is faithful, and He will not abandon your grandson in his time of need.

We hear the deep ache in your words, the way a grandparent's love carries both fierce protection and helplessness when a grandchild you treasure might be in harm's way. It is a heavy thing to carry, and we are standing with you.

Sometimes people we love stay in situations that alarm us because somewhere inside, those dynamics feel familiar to wounds they've carried much longer than the relationship itself. That's not a judgment on him; it’s a reminder that what looks like poor judgment to us often feels like solving an old, unnamed ache to them. Which means the door to his heart may stay open widest when he senses no agenda from you except to be a safe place he can return to, no "I told you so" waiting, just steady, consistent love that outlasts whatever happens.

For now, the most powerful thing you can offer, besides the prayers we know you're already praying, is preserving that lifeline. Let him know, in your own words and in your own way, that you're in his corner. Not the relationship's corner, but his. That if he ever needs to talk, or a place to breathe, you're there. That kind of tether has pulled more people out of dark places than confrontation ever could.

Father, we lift up this grandson to You. You see exactly where he is and what he is up against. Guard him from harm, shatter the pull of whatever holds him captive, and awaken in him a clear vision of the truth he may not be ready to see yet. Give this grandparent steady hope to replace the sleepless worry, and let that hope be contagious. Grant wisdom in every conversation and the right words at the right time, and until that time, hold this family in Your strong, sheltering peace. In Jesus' name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is peril here, and it is no small thing. When one we love is entangled in a bad relationship, an unblessed union not sealed by the bonds of godly marriage, the soul is exposed to snares both seen and unseen. You do well to plead before the throne of grace, for he may be in danger of falling into sin that brings dishonor upon his profession and sorrow upon his head. Many have stepped into paths that seemed safe and soon discovered they were dancing on the brink of destruction. The beginning of sin is like the letting out of water: a little companionship with error, a little dallying with what God forbids, and before long the heart grows hard and the feet swift to run after evil.

Yet there is safety for him, full, eternal, and invincible, in the keeping power of God our Savior. He is able to keep us from falling. Put your grandson often before the mercy seat; plead the blood of Christ over him, and entreat the Holy Spirit to stir his conscience. Pray that he may not go forward with a life that grieves the Lord and defiles his own soul. If the relationship is contrary to Scripture, it is a house built on sand, a lodging for vain thoughts that pay no rent and only work mischief. These bad lodgers must be sent adrift; there can be no truce with sin. The longer he stays, the more his spiritual sensibilities will be deadened by carnal security, and sudden destruction may overtake his peace.

But let your faith lay hold of this: where sin abounds, grace much more abounds. There is no pit so deep but the long arm of Christ can reach the one who falls in. Pray that your grandson may see the danger, flee from it, and cast himself wholly upon the Lord, who is able to bring him out of the snare, to break the fetters of an unholy bond, and to set his feet upon a rock. Continue in supplication; the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous one avails much. God grant him deliverance, and soon, that he may walk in the way of safety, kept by the power of His Spirit for an inheritance incorruptible.

You ask prayer for your ###, and the danger he is in rightly troubles your heart. But hear this from the Gospel: to pray only for deliverance from calamity is to seek less than God wills to grant. He permits trials not merely to rescue us from death, but to teach us to see Him who is invisible and to set the immortal soul above every earthly threat. If your ### clings to a bond that corrupts him and threatens his life, he must not stand still in the snare and call it faith. That is to tempt God, like casting oneself down and demanding rescue. Did not Moses flee from Pharaoh when the danger was known, rather than remain and dare destruction? Flight from sin and peril can be an act of obedience, not cowardice.

Beware lest he love this present world, choosing the ease of a familiar evil over the hard road of righteousness. Demas forsook the apostle because he prized security and comfort above sharing in suffering. Pray then, yes, but pray also for his soul’s deliverance from the greater ruin. The body’s safety is a small thing if the conscience is bound in threads that lead to judgment and the furnace Christ spoke of, where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Act as the true friend who rescues offspring even as David cared for Jonathan’s son long after Jonathan was slain. Warn him, intervene, do not be silent while you whisper prayers alone. Let your petition rise with boldness: that God would grant him holy fear, that he would see the treachery of this bond and break from it, though it cost him agony. The relationship that truly saves is not of blood or habit but of character that mirrors the Father of mercy. Urge him to become a son of God by his choices, not by his lineage, and know that God often works deliverance not by softening the path but by strengthening the feet to walk away.

Your cry for your grandson rises before a throne of grace, and it has been heard. When someone we love is caught in a relationship where danger lurks, our hearts tremble. Yet we do not tremble as those without hope. In the Scriptures, there is a picture of a covering, a protection that surrounds those who belong to the Lord. In ancient times, a veil served not as a burden but as a shield, a sign that the woman bearing it was under a sacred guard. No one would dare accost her. How much more does the Lord Himself wish to be that covering for your grandson right now, a wall of fire around him that no threat can breach.

This matter is far deeper than a merely bad human alliance. The real need is for your grandson’s relationship with the Lord to become the center of his entire being. The Greek word used for the bond believers share goes far beyond casual friendship; it speaks of a deep communion, a unity, a oneness with God and with His people. The beautiful simplicity of a child’s faith can confound the wisest and most conflicted adult mind. A child simply reaches up and takes hold. Pray that your grandson would, with that childlike simplicity, turn from what is harming him and grasp the reality that in Jesus Christ alone is a foundation that can never be shaken.

The world offers houses of straw and sticks that look attractive but collapse when the wolf comes to blow and huff. The wise builder erects their life on the solid bricks of obedience to God’s Word. That is where a solid relationship is found. When his faith is established on the truth rather than on fleeting feelings or a dangerous emotional entanglement, he will have something secure to stand upon. The enemy’s voice whispers, “Let me in,” but a life built on the rock of Christ can answer with holy defiance.

This is also why the body of believers is so vital. There is a remarkable kind of protection and power that flows when we are connected to other followers of Jesus. We are designed to function as a body, with every part serving its purpose. A man isolated or linked only to those who would drag him down is sitting prey. I think of the admonition concerning a man who was persisting in a grievously sinful bond; the fellowship was urged to act out of a spirit of deep love, not to wound but to rescue. The health of the entire body was at stake, and so was the man’s own ultimate deliverance. Let us pray that your grandson is surrounded by voices of gentle, firm truth who will speak and exhort him in his walk with the Lord, building him up in his commitment to Jesus above all else.

We must never forget that the Lord is the God of deliverance. He brought His people out of the crushing bondage of Egypt, and that rescue became the defining memorial of their history. He intended for them to live in constant remembrance that He is a deliverer. That same power to break chains is available for your grandson. Even if this feels as unshakeable as Pharaoh’s grip, no pit is so deep that the Lord’s arm is too short to reach into it and pull him out.

Fix your mind not on the danger, but on your God and your own relationship with Him. Live in that place of being absolutely God-conscious, worshiping Him in the midst of this storm. When the Spirit quickens our minds, we can see heaven above a deeper blue even while the battle rages. As you rest in His love for you and your love for Him, you release this burden into the hands of the One who judges rightly. Our persistent prayer is not a meaningless sound in the air; it is an act of spiritual devotion. Let all things be done in the beautiful, orderly confidence that God is at work, bringing a new depth of relationship with Himself to your grandson. Stir up that gift of faith within you, and trust that the Lord sees what is done in secret and will bring forth what is good.
