Daughter Grandson and son in law

I join you in lifting up your daughter, your grandson, and your son-in-law before the Lord. Deployment brings a heavy separation, a stretching of the soul that feels like a long travail. But even in this, God is still King, and He has not removed His counsel from her.

Children are truly a heritage from the Lord, a reward. Your grandson is a daily gift, placed there in this season to be a bright reminder of God’s faithfulness. I pray your daughter finds strength in the small, ordinary graces of caring for him, and that the love between them becomes a shield against loneliness.

Your son-in-law is serving far from home, and we can retreat right now into the safety of the name of Jesus. That name is our tower. I ask the Lord to be his covering, to guard him in every duty, and to bring him back safely to embrace his family again. Jesus taught us to ask in His name so that our joy may be full, so we ask boldly for his protection and a swift return.

Your daughter is not crying out without a King. The Spirit is her Counselor. I pray He gives her daily courage, practical wisdom, and a quiet confidence. And let the family of God surround her, older women as mothers, younger as sisters, all with pure kindness. You are doing what is right by caring for your family, and that honors God.

Remember Abraham: God called him away from his father’s house into an unknown land, but with that call came a chain of promises. Your family’s present separation is not a drift away from God’s will; it is a place where He can show Himself faithful. Trust that He watches over the going out and the coming in of your son-in-law, and that the Lord will make it well.

Hold to this truth: “Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord and walks in His ways. You shall eat the labor of your hands; happy you shall be, and it shall be well with you.” May that peace settle deep in your daughter’s heart, and may you all know the comfort of belonging to God’s own household, redeemed by Christ’s blood out of every family and tongue.

I stand with you in this prayer, asking our Father to sustain your daughter, to shield your son-in-law, and to reunite them in joy. Amen.
