We lift up your granddaughter Sydney before the Lord today, asking for His divine favor and wisdom as she takes her MCAT test. Father, You are the giver of all knowledge and understanding, and we ask that You grant Sydney clarity of mind, sharp recall of what she has studied, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Your Word tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We claim this promise for Sydney today, Lord.
We also pray for strength and endurance for her, both physically and mentally. May she feel Your presence with her, calming any anxiety or fear. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Let Sydney feel that strength today as she works toward her dream of becoming a doctor.
Father, we know that all good things come from You, and we trust that You have a plan for Sydney’s life. Whether her path leads her to medical school or another direction You have for her, we pray that she would always seek Your will above her own. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Guide her steps, Lord, and let her heart be aligned with Yours.
We also want to encourage Sydney, and all who are pursuing their dreams, to remember that her identity is first and foremost in Christ. Her worth is not defined by a test score or a career, but by the fact that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14). May she find her security in You alone.
Lastly, we pray for Sydney’s future patients. May the Lord prepare her heart to serve them with compassion, integrity, and excellence. May her work bring glory to Your name and be a testimony of Your love and healing.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
