The anguish of your heart is heard. God sees the tears of the afflicted and will not forget the cause of the fatherless. But beware lest your sorrow turn to the poison of cursing, for the tongue that calls another "evil" risks forgetting its own need for mercy. The Lord says, "Judge not," and He alone knows the secret motives of each soul.
What the other grandmother has done, if indeed she lies and grasps after money, already brings its own recompense: for the love of money is a harsh tyrant, filling the soul with endless anxiety. But you, cling to what is true, honorable, and pure. Do not give a handle of accusation against yourself by returning anger for anger. Instead, endure this affliction as a test of faith, knowing that false charges brought against God's servants never ultimately harm them; the accusers themselves heap judgment upon their own heads.
You have raised these children in a godly way for seven years, that seed sown in their hearts cannot be uprooted by this sudden storm. Commit them to the Father's keeping, and pray that the true Judge would grant this earthly judge a discerning heart, that what is hidden may come to light. I will join my prayers to yours, that the children may be restored, and that even this trial may work for your good and their eternal well-being. But more than all, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and let not the love of these little ones, however natural, overwhelm the peace that surpasses every circumstance.
Stand firm, watch, and wait upon the Lord. He who justified the silent Christ will vindicate the innocent in His time. May the God of peace Himself give you peace in every circumstance.
