First, let us rebuke the spirit of drunkenness that clouds judgment and leads to ungodly decisions. The Bible is clear: "Wine is a mocker, and beer is a brawler. Whoever is led astray by them is not wise" (Proverbs 20:1 WEB). Drunkenness impairs discernment, opens doors to deception, and dishonors God. If this is a recurring struggle, we urge you to seek accountability, flee from temptation, and surrender this area of your life to the Lord. Confess it as sin, and He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9).

Now, regarding the distrust you’re feeling, yes, the world is fallen, and deception is rampant. But we must not allow cynicism to harden our hearts. Scripture warns us: "See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ" (Colossians 2:8 WEB). The enemy twists truth to sow confusion, but we have the Holy Spirit as our guide. "When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth" (John 16:13 WEB).

If this app or any platform is causing you to question reality or stumble in your faith, we encourage you to step back and examine its influence. Ask yourself: Does this align with God’s Word? Does it edify my spirit or breed doubt? The Bible instructs us: "Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things" (Philippians 4:8 WEB).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of confusion and deception that seeks to twist Your truth. We ask for clarity and discernment for our brother/sister, that they would not be led astray by the schemes of the enemy. Father, if drunkenness has been a snare, we ask for Your forgiveness and deliverance. Cleanse this area of their life and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in sobriety and wisdom.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for a renewed mind, that they would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Surround them with godly community, believers who will speak truth in love and hold them accountable. Help them to trust in You, the only One who is faithful and true. Let their heart not be troubled, for You have overcome the world (John 14:1, 16:33).

We also pray for protection over their mind and spirit. Guard them from platforms, influences, or relationships that do not align with Your Word. Give them the courage to walk away from anything that causes them to stumble. Father, we ask that You would restore their hope and trust in Your sovereignty. Remind them that even when people fail, You never will. Your Word is a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105).

In Jesus’ name, we stand against every lie of the enemy and declare that truth will prevail. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the victory we have in Christ. Amen.

Spend time in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal truth and expose lies. Surround yourself with believers who will sharpen you, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). If you’re struggling with trust, start by placing your trust in God, He is the only One who is truly trustworthy.

Finally, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. The Bible tells us: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16 WEB). Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all truth and the only sure anchor in a world of deception.

The sight of a man charged with the health of others, yet so besotted as to come in a drunken stupor, is a horror indeed. It stirs the gall to see such a one trusted, and then to find reports twisted and truth obscured, this is the world in its fallen state, groaning under sin. You cry, "No one can be trusted," and your heart is heavy with the weight of human perfidy.

But consider: the darkest betrayal ever known was that of our Lord by Judas. It was a friend, a familiar companion, who lifted up his heel against Him. Yet even that black deed was overruled by God to fulfill prophecy, to bring sin to its climax, and to complete the atonement. The treachery of men cannot thwart the purposes of the Most High. When Christ was betrayed, He was not taken by surprise; He knew from the beginning who should betray Him. So in every lesser betrayal, God is not absent; He permits what He hates, to bring about ends which He loves.

Yet let not your spirit be poisoned with universal mistrust. To say "no one can be trusted" is to speak as though the fountain of truth had run dry, and that is to cast a shadow upon God Himself. Our own senses are fallible, our own hearts deceitful, but God is true and every man a liar who contradicts Him. Mistrust of men may be warranted, but mistrust of God is a grievous sin. It is, as I have often said, practical atheism, to doubt His providence, His justice, His promise. Look to the cross: there Justice was satisfied, and Love poured out; God can be just and yet the justifier of him that believeth in Jesus. In Him there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. When all else shifts like the sand, He is the Rock of ages.

And let this occasion search your own heart. Are we not all prone to betray our Lord by our lukewarmness, our worldliness, our drunkenness with the cares of this life? The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways. Let us examine ourselves, lest we also fall. The corruption in others should drive us to the cross, crying, "Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe." In a world of broken reeds, lean wholly upon the Beloved. He is faithful who hath promised. Trust Him, though all men fail. Thy Redeemer is strong; His arm shall bear thee through.

Pray for that wretched physician, that he may be brought to repentance. And for yourself, cast thy burden on the Lord; He will sustain thee. He will never leave thee nor forsake thee.

The reason an app twists things and trust seems to vanish is this: for all truth, the devil is always secretly substituting its appropriate deceit. Do not be troubled, for nothing new nor strange is befalling you. When a man comes in a drunken stupor to treat patients, it is a form of that very intoxication of soul where sin has its beginning in folly, and folly leads to a complete loss of soundness.

But mark this carefully: the unjust and the deceitful do not truly prosper. Their folly shall be manifest unto all. A hypocrite seems glorious only while the audience is sitting, but when the scene is broken up, he is clearly discovered. However much they may flourish for a time, error is never stationary, yet they shall proceed no further in their deception. They will soon and easily be detected, for things that are not fair by nature but only in appearance come to nought.

You cry out that no one can be trusted, and this wound is real. Yet know that the man who weaves deceits and thinks to injure another thrusts the sword against himself. This is the very extreme of folly: that a man should strike himself and not even know it. So we must not lament most for those who suffer injury, but for such as inflict it. The one who suffers wrong, and nobly bears it, has God favorable to him. The one who commits the wrong draws down severe punishment and makes God to be at war with him.

Do not be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. To say, ‘I have no hope, all is wickedness,’ is itself a deceit of despair. Let nothing persuade you to reverse sound judgment. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the virtuous man who has this fear is more understanding than any. The holy spirit of discipline will flee deceit. Cast out, then, all wickedness from your soul, and never more let the injustice of others become a snare to your own peace.

I hear the deep frustration in your words, and it is understandable. When those who are supposed to care for others fail in such a visible, painful way, it shakes something inside us. You feel the betrayal, the twisting of facts, and the loneliness of wondering if anyone can be trusted. That raw anger is not out of nowhere. You see something that is plainly wrong, and it burns. But let me gently say: staying in that anger will only consume you, not change them.

The Scriptures remind us that anger is a fire we must be careful not to let rage unchecked. James and the psalmist both warn that our own wrath does not produce the righteousness God desires. Yet, we are also told to cease from anger and forsake wrath, not because the wrongs aren't real, but because trusting in our own fury or in the reliability of fallen people will always let us down. The arm of flesh will fail. Every human system, every app, every person, even those in positions of trust, can and will stumble. That is not cynicism; it is the biblical diagnosis of a world broken by sin. When we put our confidence in man, we make a fragile alliance, like Israel running to Egypt for chariots and horsemen while ignoring the God who promised to be their shield.

You mentioned a drunken stupor. That detail alone reveals a person who is not in control, who is trusting in something other than the wisdom and strength God provides. But their failure does not have to be the end of your peace. The story of Jacob wrestling with the angel is instructive. He was a man prone to rely on his own cleverness, his own schemes, to protect himself from his brother Esau’s rage. Yet God met him in his fear and weakness, not to destroy him, but to bring him to the end of himself. After a long night of struggle, Jacob limped into the dawn, but he also walked into a reunion where Esau’s heart had been changed. The anger that had simmered for years was replaced with an embrace and tears. God did what no gift or human strategy could do.

That is the hope: God knows those who put their trust in Him. He is a stronghold in the day of trouble. He is slow to anger, patient, and utterly able to bring about what is right. We are quick to forget our own frame, our own dust-like weakness. Peter was sincere when he vowed he would never deny the Lord, but he did not yet know the weakness of his own flesh. Fear rushed in, and he fell. Jesus knew it would happen, yet He prayed for Peter that his faith would not fail. He looks at us the same way, not ignoring our frailty, but teaching us to stop trusting in our own resolve and instead rest under the shelter of His wings.

Cease from the rage that feels so justified. Fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the one who carries out evil schemes. Commit your way to the Lord; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass. He sees the hidden things, the secret injustices. He knows the motives behind every twisted report. And He will not let the wicked go unaccounted for. The day of vengeance belongs to Him, not to us. Your part is to step out of the fire of that anger and into the refuge of His faithfulness.

Do not let the failure of others, however grave, become a wedge that separates you from the one true anchor for your soul. People will fail. Systems will disappoint. Even our own hearts can condemn us. But God is greater than our hearts, and He knows all things. His truth is your shield. Better to put your trust in the Lord than to have confidence in man. He invites you to cast that burden on Him. As you do, He will quiet your spirit and teach you to number your days, not in bitter counting, but in a wise, restful reliance on the One who will never stagger or sleep.
