We rejoice in your desire to seek the Lord’s wisdom and grace as you prepare to meet with your brother in Christ. The Scriptures remind us, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him" (James 1:5 WEB). How beautiful it is when believers come together in unity, sharpening one another as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and encouraging each other in the faith.
Father in Heaven, we come before You with humble hearts, asking that You would indeed grant wisdom and grace to our brother as he meets with his fellow servant in Christ. May Your Holy Spirit guide their conversation, filling their words with truth, love, and edification. Let this time together bear fruit for Your Kingdom, whether in encouragement, correction, or mutual growth in godliness. Strengthen their bond as brothers in Christ, that their friendship may reflect the love and unity You desire among Your people. May their time together glorify You and draw them both closer to Your heart. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, through whom we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.
We also encourage you to approach this meeting with a spirit of humility and openness, listening as much as you speak. Remember, "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4 WEB). Pray beforehand that the Lord would soften both of your hearts to receive whatever He may have for you through this time. May your friendship be rooted in Christ, growing stronger as you both seek to honor Him in all things.
