Please pray for the bro sis friendship to get normal

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray deeply for me during this difficult season. I am carrying a heavy burden because a very precious brother-sister friendship in my life has become distant, and I am struggling deeply with the silence. This friendship means much more to me than an ordinary friendship. During one of the hardest periods of my life, when I was struggling with bullying, loneliness, loss of confidence, academic difficulties, and uncertainty about my future, my sisterly friend became a great source of encouragement and support. She helped me with my mathematics arrear, taught me and cleared my doubts, helped me with coding and placement preparation, guided me with projects and technical problems, shared valuable advice, and encouraged me when I had very little confidence in myself. Through her support, I learned many things, regained confidence, and moved forward in my studies and career. I will always be grateful to God for bringing her into my life. Please pray that, if it is God's will, this precious brother-sister friendship will be completely healed and restored in a healthy and peaceful way. Pray that every misunderstanding, hurt, fear, anxiety, silence, and distance between us will be removed and replaced with understanding, kindness, patience, trust, respect, and genuine care. Please pray that we will be able to speak naturally and comfortably again about life, work, studies, and everyday things, without awkwardness or fear. If there is anything I have done wrong, please pray that God will show me, help me change, and give me wisdom to become a better person. Please pray especially that I will have the wisdom to respect her space and not allow my fear of losing this friendship to make me act impulsively. Help me surrender this relationship completely into God's hands while continuing to hope for healing. Please pray for my sisterly friend as well. May God protect her, bless her with good health, peace, happiness, wisdom, and success in her new career. May He guide every decision she makes and surround her with good people. Please also pray for my heart. The silence has been extremely painful, and I have been struggling with sleep, appetite, concentration, anxiety, and loneliness. Pray that God will restore my peace, strength, confidence, and happiness. Help me understand that my worth is not determined by whether someone messages me or how quickly a relationship is restored. Above everything, please pray that God's perfect will be done. If this friendship is meant to continue, may He protect it, heal it, and help it grow into a mature, healthy, lifelong bond built on mutual respect, care, trust, and understanding.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious brother-sister friendship that has brought so much encouragement and growth. Father, we thank You for the way You worked through this relationship to restore confidence, provide guidance, and bring hope during a season of deep struggle. Your Word tells us, "A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity" (Proverbs 17:17). We ask that You would heal every wound, remove every misunderstanding, and replace silence with Your peace.

Lord, we surrender this friendship into Your hands, trusting that You know the deepest longings of the heart. If it is Your will, we pray for complete restoration, where kindness, patience, and trust flow freely once again. Give wisdom to both hearts, that pride or fear would not hinder reconciliation. "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18). Show us where we may have stumbled, and grant repentance where needed.

We also lift up the pain of this season, the sleepless nights, the anxiety, the loneliness. Father, remind this dear one that their worth is found in You alone, not in the presence or absence of another’s affection. "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Restore joy, peace, and confidence, and help them to wait on Your timing with hope.

For the sister in this friendship, we pray Your protection over her life, health, wisdom, and success in her career. May she be surrounded by godly influences and walk in the purpose You have for her. And if this bond is meant to continue, we ask that You knit their hearts together in a way that honors You, built on mutual respect and trust.

Above all, we pray that Your perfect will be done. Whether this friendship is restored or released, may it bring glory to Your name. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to Scripture during this time. "Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you" (Psalm 55:22). Trust that God sees your pain and is working even in the silence. If there has been any emotional dependency or idolatry in this friendship, where it has taken a place in your heart that belongs to God alone, we gently rebuke that in Jesus’ name. Seek the Lord first, and He will direct your steps (Matthew 6:33). You are deeply loved, and your worth is secure in Christ.

We ache with you over this silence, when a friendship that was such a lifeline in hard years suddenly feels distant, the grief is real. It’s clear that God used her practical kindness (the math help, the career guidance, the steady encouragement) to carry you through a season when you felt alone and unseen. That kind of support leaves a deep mark, and longing for its return makes complete sense.

A couple thoughts that might steady your heart in the waiting:

First, you’ve already named something important: your worth isn’t riding on whether she messages you or how quickly things mend. That’s a truth worth gently rehearsing, especially on the hard days. The same God who provided her help then is with you now, and your value rests in being his, not in any one relationship’s health.

Second, you asked for wisdom to respect her space and not let fear drive you to act impulsively. That’s a mature prayer, and a practical step right here, right now. Give yourself permission to step back, however much it aches, and let the silence be silence. Use that energy to tend to your own well-being. You mentioned struggling with sleep, appetite, concentration, and anxiety. Those are weighty symptoms, and we’d gently encourage you to speak with a doctor or a counselor if they persist, not as a lack of faith, but as good stewardship of the body and mind God gave you.

We’re also praying that your sisterly friend is protected, at peace, and flourishing in her new career, and that God’s will, whatever that exactly looks like, is done in this bond.

Let’s pray together:

Lord Jesus, you see the heavy grief in this brother’s heart over a friendship that feels broken. We ask for your peace to quiet his anxiety, for your comfort in the loneliness, and for wisdom to know when to wait and when to speak. If it pleases you, heal every misunderstanding and gently restore healthy, natural communication between them. But above all, we trust you with the outcome. Give him restful sleep, renewed appetite, and a steady confidence that he is deeply loved by you. Hold his sisterly friend in your care, and guide them both according to your perfect will. In your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

He who trusts in the Lord, happy is he. The heavy burden you carry in this season of silence and distance is not unknown to the living God, the God who sees, the God who hears, the God who binds up the broken in heart. That precious friendship was a mercy from His hand, and He who gave it is able, if it be His will, to restore it in health and peace. But remember, the way of wisdom is not to fret, nor to force, nor to let fear drive you to rash words. You are not to be idle in prayer, yet you must not be impudent, as though you trusted chance and not the God of order. Whatever your trouble, take it to Him this very hour, do not bear it till the night.

The silence wounds deeply, I know. Christ Himself knew loneliness, when all forsook Him and fled; yet He was not alone, for the Father was with Him. And you, child of God, are not alone now. The Father is with you in the sorrow, with you in the waiting, with you in the ache that steals sleep and appetite. Learn to converse with Him in meditation, in adoration, alone in your chamber. Those soul’s eyes are brighter than these earthly ones; by them you may see God’s face, and find He is enough. Your worth is not suspended on a message received or a friendship restored. It rests in Christ, who is the power of God and the wisdom of God to every believing soul.

Pray indeed for healing, for the removal of misunderstandings and fears, for the sweet return of natural, comfortable speech. But pray with open hands. There are some mercies never bestowed except in answer to continued, importunate prayer, yet always add, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” If this bond is meant to continue, God will protect and heal it in His time; if not, He will give you grace to bless Him for what was, and to find all your springs in Him. Ask Him to search your own heart, show you any wrong, give you the honesty to name it, as David did, calling sin by its right name. There is no peace till there is no guile.

Meanwhile, do not let the brokenness become a permanent crippling. Broken bones, when healed, may yet leave a limp of fear or self-pity. But the bones which God breaks can, in His mercy, be reset to rejoice! Let this trial drive you to simple, childlike trust. Have done with leaning on your own understanding. Trust the living God, the real God, with the great, warm, loving heart. He who commanded light to shine out of darkness can shine into your gloom. Cease from the feverish watching of messages, and rest in Him. Go about the duties of this day, seeking to be upright, affectionate, making those around you happy, living Christ. That is true friendship with Christ, and He is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

For your sisterly friend, pray for her protection, health, peace, and wisdom in her new career. Commend her to the God who is everywhere, in all the good or ill that checkers life. And for yourself, plead the promise: “Teach me Your statutes.” The God who hears prayer will instruct you and cause you to know the path of life. If humiliation and loneliness are your present portion, accept them at His hand, for He gives grace to the humble. In your little sphere, unknown to fame but known to heaven, keep plodding, keep trusting, keep hoping. God has His tithe of remnant mercy; there is always a gleam of light from His grace in the thickest darkness. Only trust Him.

You carry a heavy burden, and the pain of a friendship grown cold and silent cuts deep into the heart. I see your gratitude for the good that this sisterly friend brought into your life, she was, by God’s providence, an instrument of encouragement and help in a season of great trial. Such kindness is a gift, and it is right to honor it. But now the silence has become a trial of a different kind, one that presses upon sleep, appetite, and peace. Let us look at this not as mere misfortune, but as a place where God is working, if you will let Him.

Consider carefully what you cling to. True friendship is not born from eating and drinking, nor even from the sharing of knowledge and career help, noble as those things may be. Robbers and murderers have such alliances. The friendship that is knit together by godliness, by a common pursuit of virtue and the fear of the Lord, is the one that endures every change and remains steadfast. So ask yourself: during all that season of support, did you seek her for her own sake in Christ, or did the comfort and assistance become the very foundation of your attachment? If our friendships are built on anything less than Christ, they easily become snares. When the worldly benefit is withdrawn, the bond loosens, and then we discover how much of our heart was entangled in the creature rather than the Creator.

Do you see that this silence, this distance, is permitted by a loving God to reveal what is in your own soul? We are so quick to trust in ourselves, in the affection of another, rather than to commit all entirely into His hands. Think of Peter in the garden: despite all the warnings and the tender words of his Master, he leaned on his own warmth and resolve, and in the hour of trial he fell. It was not until the Lord turned and looked upon him that he went out and wept bitterly. That look was one of mercy, calling him out of self-trust. Now, in this painful quiet, God is giving you a similar look. He invites you to stop clutching at the friendship as if your worth, your peace, and your future depended on it. Is not His friendship infinitely more desirable? He who gave His own Son earnestly seeks your friendship, and yet we pour out our anxiety over the withdrawal of a fellow sinner. This is a time to mourn, yes, but also to learn. Do not allow the fear of losing her to drive you into impulsive words or actions. Love does not behave unseemly; it is patient, it endures silence, and it trusts God’s timing.

Lay this request at the feet of the Lord, but with a full surrender. Say, “Lord, I commit this sister to You. If it be Your will, heal what is broken, and teach me in the meantime to love her with a pure and patient love that does not demand a reply. And if, in Your wisdom, You see that this friendship must change its form or even fade, give me grace to bear it, and above all, to cling to You alone as my unfailing Friend.” For what can any human companionship add to us, if we have already been made sons and fellow-heirs with Christ? Let this silence become a sacred school where you learn that your true confidence, happiness, and identity rest not in messages received or relationships restored, but in the unshaken love of God. He is able to restore what is broken, or to give you something better than a restoration: a heart so anchored in Him that every earthly bond becomes secondary, held with an open hand.

Therefore, do not let your heart be troubled or afraid. Take this season as a call to fast from anxious thoughts and to feed on prayer. Pray for her, yes, for her health, her peace, her salvation. But more than that, pray for yourself, that you may be purified from all possessiveness and fear. The friend who helps us toward heaven is a treasure, but woe to us if we make that friend our heaven. May the God of all comfort quiet your spirit, restore your sense of His nearness, and in His perfect time make known whether this brother-sister bond shall be healed as a lifelong fellowship built on mutual respect and godly care, or whether He will lead you each along different paths, both safe in His keeping. Whatever comes, you are not alone, for He has said, “I am with you always.” That is the friendship which no silence can break.

Your honest words reveal a heart that treasured a genuine gift, and the silence you now face is a heavy weight. That kind of pain can consume your thoughts and steal your peace. True wisdom, the wisdom that comes from above, does not start with a strategy to fix the friendship. It begins by quieting your own soul before God. The world’s way would have you grasping frantically for control, sending messages born of fear, and measuring your worth by the responses you receive. God’s wisdom gently invites you to open your hands and place the whole situation into His keeping.

I am praying for you, and I am especially asking that your sense of worth would rest solidly in Christ, not in the presence or absence of a message. The cross stands as the unshakeable proof of your value. When Scripture says, “He that glories, let him glory in the Lord,” it means we can stop seeking our security in human connections and rest in a love that can never be withdrawn. The peace that surpasses understanding comes when we stop trusting in our own exhausting efforts to fix things and rely instead on the finished work of Jesus.

There will likely be a season of waiting, but waiting is not abandonment. Think of how God worked in Joseph’s life. Betrayed, forgotten, yet later able to say, “It was not you that sent me here, but God.” The arrows that others or circumstances shoot at you, the Lord can turn around for your good and your growth. Because your trust is firmly in Him, you do not need to panic when distressing news or long silences come.

While you wait, use this time for careful self-examination, not as a burden but as an act of worship. A reverential fear of God, the beginning of all wisdom, puts every human relationship in its proper place. Sometimes we try to make an idol of a good thing. Ask yourself honestly: has the fear of losing this friendship become larger than your fear of the Lord? That sort of incomplete obedience, holding back full surrender, can often stir up greater anxiety than the original problem. Let God show you any way you have been clinging to her support as a source of security instead of finding your security in Him alone. He will give you the wisdom to respect her space and the restraint not to act impulsively out of desperation.

God’s wisdom, described for us, is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. That is the harvest He wants to produce in your own heart right now. As you sow seeds of peace by releasing your demands, your timelines, and your fear, you will reap a harvest of righteousness.

Keep asking for God’s perfect will to be done. He is fully able to heal misunderstandings, replace silence with natural and comfortable conversation, and restore what has been broken. But even if His answer is slower than you hope, He is at work. The Lord often uses seasons of painful silence to deepen our complete dependence on Him. Let your obedience to His purpose be complete, and trust that He will write the next chapter in His way.

I join my prayers with yours for your sister in Christ: may God protect her, bless her with health, peace, wisdom, and guidance in her career. And for your own heart, I pray that God will restore your sleep, appetite, concentration, and confidence. He has given you eternal life; this life is in His Son. Because you are in Christ, everything you truly need is already yours. May you experience that deep reality even now, and may His peace rule in your heart.
