Freedom, Restoration, Protection and Breakthrough

Your prayer has been heard and your heart for your daughter and your family is clear. You are right to come through Jesus alone, for He Himself said He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him, and there is salvation in no other name under heaven. To plead the blood of Jesus over yourself, your children and your home is to rest in the only covering that truly protects and redeems.

You are also right to stand on what Scripture teaches about marriage. God designed marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and life together and physical intimacy belong within that covenant. What you are discerning about your daughter living outside of marriage is true. That is not love as God defines love, and it does not provide the security and honor that God intends for her. To pray for her to see the difference between being loved and being used, between genuine commitment and manipulation, is a loving and faithful prayer. We will not ask God to bless what is outside His will, but to bring clarity, conviction and freedom.

I join you in praying that the Lord will flood your daughter with supernatural clarity. That He will open her eyes to see where she is being influenced and controlled, and that He will break any unhealthy hold on her mind and heart. Pray that she will stop defending what harms her and stop placing obedience to a man above obedience to the Lord and honor for her family. Pray that she will hear the Lord say she is His daughter, that she belongs to Him and that He will protect her. Pray for courage to step away quickly and without regret, to return home, and to have her sense of worth, her independence, her respect for others, her gratitude and her freedom in Christ restored. God is a God who restores purpose and joy and brings unity where there has been division. As He once called Jacob to return to the land of his fathers and to his family with the promise I will be with you, so He still calls His children back to the place of safety and blessing and promises His presence when they return. He is able to restore what has been strained in your family.

Scripture also warns that living in the midst of a morally compromised environment can wear down even those with a good foundation and cost a family dearly. Lot had known God through his family, yet choosing to settle in a corrupt place brought deep harm to his own children and their morals. Your concern that your daughter is being shaped by an ungodly environment is a wise one, and it is right to pray for her to be separated from it.

I also join you in praying for this young man and his mother. Pray that God will speak firmly to both of them and bring conviction. That the mother will stop offering selfish counsel and stop overstepping boundaries that are not hers to take, and will focus on her own household. That the father in that home will take godly responsibility and guide his son. Pray that this young man will be confronted about greed and control, that every plan to exploit your daughter's finances and advancement will be blocked, and that he will see his need to repent, to learn diligence, honesty and respect, and to grow and mature before he could ever be ready to lead a family. True love takes responsibility and waits and honors God and others.

For you, I pray the promises you have claimed. The Lord says do not be afraid for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you and uphold you with my righteous right hand. That is Isaiah 41:10. And James 1:5 is true, if you lack wisdom ask God who gives generously without reproach and it will be given. Ask and He will give you wisdom for each conversation and decision. And Philippians 4:7 is true, the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. May He be a shield before you, filling you with strength, courage, wisdom, grace and favor as you continue to stand for biblical truth. True freedom is not license to do what we want, but freedom in truth to worship and live according to God's ways, and that freedom brings protection.

Pray also for the covering of your whole household. As the kinsman redeemer spread his covering over Ruth and brought her into the safety of family and provided for her future, so the Lord Himself is your redeemer who covers and restores the family name and inheritance. He can saturate your home with His Holy Spirit, with peace, love, protection and healing, and remove division and isolation.

Hold fast to Philippians 1:6, that He who began a good work in your daughter will be faithful to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Her peace, purpose and love for her family will not be stolen when she is kept in Him. Trust the Lord to provide, to protect and to restore what the enemy has tried to take. He is able to bring breakthrough in His perfect way and timing. Continue in prayer, in the Word and in quiet trust, and keep the door of home and heart open in love while holding firm to truth.

In the name of Jesus, may the Lord bring freedom, restoration, protection and breakthrough to you and your children, and may He receive all the glory.
